thanks all for the links. here is a screen dump of my start at a gba hack of adventure.

sounds like gorf. what would be cool is to come up with an addictively simple game like tetris.
-
that should say, it would NOT be an emu.

i have written a few video games for the game boy and was thinking about writing adventure. this would be an emu, but a straight c++ code em up. what i am looking for are bitmaps of the rooms, items, dragons. there are a few screen shots here. is there a mother load of adventure bitmaps/pics somewhere? also, sound samples would be nice, too.

advance wars 2 mario pinball world battleship yahtzee the last 2 are a must have because they are free and i wrote them.

hold the phone, here. early emu is a good thing. it allows developers to make games without the hardware. isn't that the intended purpose of emu? so, yes, emu's can be used for evil just as cars can be used to run over people.

well, it is not gba sp, but close. i have used PocketVCS on my ipaq. maybe pick up a cheap pocketpc on ebay? just a thought. let's see, there is a 2600 emu for the pc (stella). there is a gpa emu, VisualBoy. there is a free ide VisualHAM for gba dev. now, port stella to visualHAM and done. i noticed that pocketVCS has a source dist. does the pocketpc dev from microsoft dump arm7 gba compat code? prolly not.

has anyone seen/have one of these: http://www.gbagamez.co.uk/index.htm looks like a good deal esp since it has some classic 2600 games on it. opinions?

i received my box of t-shirts, mouse pads and pick and pile as promised. thanks! though i'm disappointed the contest was bust, i consider myself a guest and subject to rules the contest host makes. and if the contest host wants to pull the contest without notice, then so be it cause they own the contest. in this case, a prize was awarded to everyone. i appreciate the efforts of members of the community to offer free stuff. thanks, again.

my goal is simple. to get every 2600 game ever made for as cheap as possible. problem is, i'm a cheap bastard and e-bay has killed the 'days gone wild' for the 2600. at least in my area. oh the days of the flea mall and picking up several games for a $1 each.

since you're not allowed to doctor photos, i can only assume you flushed your tv. this would work well in the crack creme thread.
