  1. Thank you all for your responses! It's true - I got no black screen whatsoever, just static. Fearing the worst, I went to Radioshack and picked up a replacement AC adapter - lo and behold, both systems are now working with it! Thanks again!
  2. Hello, everyone! I recently received an authentic Sunnyvale heavy sixer in reportedly-working condition (but not too recently used) from a friend, purchased the RF adapter, screwed it into the cable jack of my TV, booted it with several games and had no success whatsoever on any channel 2-4 regardless of which channel the VCS switch was set to. After a bit of consideration, I chose to pick up a guaranteed working-condition 1978 six-switch from Ebay, assuming that there was simply something wrong with my heavy sixer. Sadly when the 78 arrived, I went through the same process to configure it and achieved the same results (read: no results.) I have now tried these two on two different TVs, both recent but not HD or anything, and I find it improbable that everything just doesn't work. I have also attempted one TV's "channel autodetect" feature while the console was connected and running, to no avail. Do you fine folks at AtariAge have any suggestions? I realize that it is recommended to test the power supplies with a voltmeter, which I will be doing shortly... but really, what are the odds that they're both junk? Thanks!
