I got word that the auctions on the CX-2000 and the 5200 went to a second chance offer. I believe it had to do with the winning bidder being from way out of town.

The only way to know for sure if it is just an eprom or a mask rom is to open it up and take a picture of the chip inside.

Yeah. They have had BBSB up for over two years. I think they use it as a marketing ploy anyway. Items they don't intend to get rid of they price really high to bring business in. With this cat though, everything is high and you are right. They don't haggle.

Original ideas are taken fom small children anyways. It's hard telling how many young kids sent drawings, requests, and things of that nature that inspired all of the console and games ideas. Ultimately the power goes to the wonderful minds of the children who inspire thier parents to either give them the idea or inspire them to come up with these ingenious ideas. Got a message back from the seller about the 5200. You know I have looked this unit all over and I have not seen anything that would resemble a serial number. Given the circumstances and history of this unit, I would not be surprised if it wasn't issued one. - ryder267 Could just be an empty shell. Don't know.
