  1. Thanks but this is the mod I was trying to avoid. I have heard of a second mod to that virtually eliminates those pesky lines on the screen. Also the games x mod is not explicit enough with the instructions. I appreciate though.
  2. So has anyone else tried this mod yet? If you have, you'll just toss your boot disc to the side and let it collect dust. Really, you can't beat this type of mod. two little points on the board and no fancy smancy separate breadboard you have to try to make room for under your motherboard. How simple is that? Too simple. Just trying to make life easier. Now does anyoe have nice detailed instructions and illustrations on how to do this? http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=144818 Help me help you........
  3. Ebay Motors is where they make the big bucks. Auctions in these categories are just a drop in the bucket.
  4. It is also a good idea to invest in a good arcade controller for the fighting games. Agetec or the X-Arcade are the two of choice. If you ever come acroos a Panther DC stick (looks like a flight stick) you should try Quake III or Unreal Tournament with it. It makes a complete world of difference and makes it so much more fun to play. They great already but these controllers add that special touch.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm not aware of any tools for changing the region on DC disc iso's. True. But, if you have a DC, then you have a GD Rom drive. All you need is either a DC with a LAN ataptor or a Coders Cable and you can make your own backups. It's easier in the sense that it's semi permenent. You change it with the region disc once, and it stays changed till you change it again. If you have alot of imports that you are going to be playing, this would be much easier and a big time saver over dealing with Utopia for every game. Saved me some time explaining things. The only reason I did this was because: A) I have quite a few imports and want to dedicate one system of the few I have to play them. I have a JP console but I want to keep it in good shape. Cost to dang much to replace. Easier to do it this way. B) I wasn't sure I could do it going from NTSC>>whatever other region. I just read alot about our European PAL friends that wanted to do this so they could play all the wonderful NTSC and NTSC-J games out there because their systems are special. The blue swirl I think is cooler. C) This looked to easy and wanted to make sure that anyone could do this. Yes. If you have more than one DC this would be the best thing to do rather than just boot the system everytime with Utopia just to play the game. It just dedicates one console and saves you time if you think about it. It's completely reversible and you can hook up your buddies so they don't scratch up their Utopia disc from getting it out and popping it in so much then throwing it on the floor and scooting it across the room.
  6. Bump. Everything is still up for grabs.
  7. This mod is very useful. It requires very little work. 20 minutes tops to do it. If you have more than one DC and don't want to fool with a boot disc or you are our European PAL friends then this mod will help. I haven't seen it posted here so here it is. Just use the following links if you are interested in doing this. Easiest mod I have ever done. You tube link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM2Tkan0RYU Detailed instructions. http://www.lyris-lite.net/fu_archives/000601.html Disc Image. http://jo.plaz.free.fr/DC/dcrc1.5.cdi.zip CDI burner. http://dchelp.dcemulation.org/?download=BootDreams_106b.exe Enjoy!
  8. Well, if everyone just ignored the posts then he wouldn't have the fuel to say "Ha ha. Looked how much I made." It's smug but when they do not care they will do anything for attention. I really don't have business problems with McG but this really does make McG look even worse for the community. Passing off carts that have the screw hole exposed but someone has just simply put another PCB inside and says it's a rare cart but they just switched out the game, the flagrant flipping of products that a true collector might want to add their collection by sitting all day behind the screen and refreshing eBay to see what new has been listed, selling items that have been repeatedly warned not to sell for profit. Before too long McG, your ways will catch up to you. Be cool. Your just asking for a flaming.
  9. Not bad at all. Let's hope they go to a good home. Pics will help you if you have them.
  10. That's what I am hoping for. PM's replied to.
  11. If they are sealed it's different but here are my estimates. QUADRUN Sealed-$550 OBELIX Complete-$175 ASTERIX NTSC Sealed-$750 SWORDQUEST WATERWORLD Complete -$175 CRAZY CLIMBER Complete-$150 GRAVITAR Complete-$125 GLIB Complete-$250 This is just a guess but what I would expect to pay.
  12. Added Import Dreamcast games! Sweet!
  13. I know of him. Fleamarket sellers are shady for the most part.
  14. Not Mine. (patent pending) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=180361926228 Relisted. Possibly relisted because of the end label being 3/4 the way gone and not mentioned or seen in the first auction.NOT MINE (patent pending) http://cgi.ebay.com/Quadrun_W0QQitemZ18036...%3A1%7C294%3A50
  15. Huh? The manuals are included with the boxes. How is there any other way of saying this? Some just don't realize that some people just don't have the grammer skills that are needed to interate in this society with those who need complete interating. The word "contain or contains would have been better to use but like I said. Some people are listing quickly and don't think like others do. Grammer check should be a requirement for eBay shouldn't it?
  16. Well, looking at this I personally would be able to intrepret for myself just by the title that it is a box lot. They could have used more words and interated more but for me, I only see a listing for a lot of boxes. Sometimes you click quick and misinterpret what is said. I have done it a few times myself and kicked myself in the a$$ for not catching it off the bat. Sorry man.
  17. Man, I really hope you get an Air Raid cart from this guy for $100 With the box and instructions I would still try to haggle him down to $50.
  18. Well, there is no excuses that we will here from him then. He could have easily sold it here on the forums without putting it out there so shame on him. I know once you buy something you have every right to do with it as you please but this is an issue with ethics and morals I suppose. I like to turn profits myself but there is a different avenue to take when it's an item you know you are not supposed to do that with. I have been shamed once and will never do that again. I am moral enough to admit that. It seems that he doesn't give items a chance to even collect dust and they are out the door. Tisk Tisk..................
  19. Sounds like you had a bad power supply. I've had plenty of both that worked just fine. Mitch More like bad power supplies. Don't get me wrong but I have had nothing but trouble out of the 11.5vdc adapters. I would say out of the ones I have had 7 out of 10 were bad. I have yet to have a problem out of the 9.3vdc adapters. Probably coincidence but to me it's bad luck with them.
  20. Well, I really don't know why McG didn't already know that. Maybe he bought it from someone else and thought it was o.k.. We'll just let him explain. He'll come to realize that he's really gonna piss someone off someday and knowingly or not & maybe have issues with games he sells. All it takes is someone to do it and and not say it. I know I have messed up similarly and have been forgiven but at that time I didn't know. I learned my lesson. I think that is why he buys with one account and sells with the other. Vice versa on them.
