Thanks PBJ. As always. A plethera of information.
Indeed...there are links to several threads at NintendoAge about this guy in the DP thread I linked above. He has several personal and online aliases and multiple eBay accounts. This guy is a serious scammer.
I'll keep my eye out!

Looky looky, Atlantis II didn't even make the list. LOLhttp://www.gamesniped.com/2007/11/08/world...ve-video-games/
but Air Raid did.....
Interesting, but true, huh?????
You can't keep buying them to keep the price inflated forever Jose

Two guys tried it with silver in the 70's
True, but I expect this one to stay high.....come on, all of them have been discovered in the states....
However, if it goes down, that's fine too........I just collect because I love Atari, I am not in this hobby to invest, I invest in other things to allow me to actively collect Atari 2600 stuff.....
I am on the same boat as you are.

O.K. I understand!

I think it might be true

Has the same misspelling of Atari. He says this the last. His buddy probably has some. We'll see next month!

I still think the Xonox style in the box is harder to find.

I was just wondering why there isn't a rarity PAL wise here on Atariage
. I Put in PAL it shows nothing.Probably because it's a US website.
Mitch
I understand but I was just wondering because it does show the rarity of two PAL carts. Sentinel and the infamous 32 in 1 cart. Thought maybe it was something it was not. Thanks anyway Mitch.

Ya know, I've wondered what the reaction would be if someone started trolling the 2600 forum and ranting about how bad the CX40 sticks are in every thread. It's really not worth the effort to find out, though.
I agree!!!!!!!!!

I love it when guys get lucky like this. Great find!

It would only be illegal if you tried to SELL an item using Atari's name without it being an Atari official release. If you make a game up and say it was ATARI without saying it was for use on the Atari system. I really don't think they would care unless you made millions on it though. My opinion.

-
Cool. I'm glad someone has the patience.

Just gettin a general idea what this cart may be worth NOW! digital press might be a little outdated.

Last bump! Going back in the closet!

This really brings back memories thought to be long dormant.

I used to have one pretty similar when I was younger. I believe Sears had a giveaway on the system and when the raffle winner won they got the chair too. I asked my mother and she barely remembers but she's sure they gave her a chair during the raffle she won. I could be mistaken but I remember that chair. I hope this helps.

The inner works can tell a lot about the true age of a cart, but I'm sure there are people who can even fake that if they really want to.What are SURE signs that a cart may be a repro.IMO the best thing to do to avoid further confusions is to put the word "REPRO" on the label when creating a repro.

Agreed! It would get rid of any confusion. Well, maybe. We would hope!

Egads, I did not want to respond again to this. But I want to clear up a misperception of what I did wrong. I did do wrong, it took me a couple of days to realize it, but I did do wrong. And I want to apologize to everyone on the list for doing so. And what I am guilty of maybe far worse than what is being accused of me. What was wrong was not that I made it public. In fact everyone who comes to Atariage can see this list. You don't have to even be a member to see it. Trust me more nonmembers have seen it on AtariAge than people who have seen it on Ebay. Because I felt it was already public there was no harm in showing it on Ebay. But here is the problem that I forgot about. You can exploit things that are public. And now looking back at it I feel that I exploited the list to pimp out my auction. Again what I am guilty of is exploitation not making it public. But you want to know something. Exploitation is worse. Again I don't know what I was thinking at the time. But looking back at it now I did exploit the list. I am extremely sorry for that. And for that I deserve to be flamed. And to tell you the truth if I saw someone else do the same thing I did I would probably be upset at that person too. Definitely an extreme lapse in judgment. We're only human. Can't go through life without mistakes.

Do I detect a sense of jealousy? lol

I'm not a human dictionary
but I like what you've posted. Good stuff. I've climbed Mt. Fuji 3 times when I was in the Marine Corps. AWESOME! -
Last time! Lowered to an all time low!

I will agree that a competion cart like the 1st Atlantis II will bring big money. I honestly think without the label it kills the value at least 75%. $2500 seems to be the logical more fair price. I think Homer is a little upset that selling prices are down right now. Wait till after X-mas. I guarantee the tax refunds will bring the prices back to the way things were.

I've held off buying the 2 games mostly cuz of that HORRIBLE looking wizard label. I wish the box art (poster art) was used on the carts themselves. Do any of the folks making repros use the box art for labels?Peace
There might be one fellow on here. OH DAVE!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone here ever find a copy of TCM out in the wild? Everytime I hit up the flea markets and thrift stores and see a small pile of 2600 carts, I pray that Chainsaw will be in that pile. It never is.I think that finding The Texas Chainsaw Massacre at a flea market for 50 cents would make me the happiest geek in the land. Even if it is a horrible game... I love that Leatherface!
Later!
Chances are far and few in between. My best find in the wild was Malagai. $5. Maybe you will get lucky.

Yup. I have to say it did!! Yipee!
