Yeah between that hint and the manual only mentioning sd cards being used for firmware it seems likely that out of the box SD rom loading won't be enabled.
But it shouldn't be a big deal for anyone here to enable it.

So it sounds like loading roms off sd won't be officially supported but could be patched in with custom firmware.

Great game thanks for releasing it freely. I'm so happy I have a vecmulti as flash carts are pretty much the only way to play this afaik. I wouldn't thought that full human characters done with vector graphics would work but it gives the game a nice unique style. The background look great too. Would have been nice if there were more moves but its still a lot of fun and very challenging.
Very impressive overall.

Ah, did you get any feedback from him yet?
No, I live in the US and just added it to my profile in case anyone else wanted to know.

any news on the sd version?

In the absorb stages you can collect eggs to power up. It seems they turn into an enemy fairly quickly though. Would there be a way to make the eggs more distinguishable and know when they are about to turn into an enemy? Maybe some kind of way to show a countdown.
Anyway, great game and I like what you've added to it.

I bought a vectrex recently and was looking into the vecflash but I waited too long and now see its sold out. How long before you release your vecflash sd? Are you going to be putting out the usb version again or are you replacing it with the sd version?
Also, could the sd version save high scores?
Both versions sound great though I'm a bit hesitant to spend that much on a vectrex item despite being a great value. I'm not much of a collector and usually use emulators but the vectrex was too unique and cool to pass up. I ordered my protector/yasi cart already and I'm sure will get one of your multicarts at some point.

Great game. I like that its separated into different levels however the absorb ones are a bit tricky as it can be hard to know when its ok to absorb or when you will die.
Also, I'm fine with the 2k version having the controls this one has as it works well.
You make some of the best homebrew I've seen with lead being my favorite.

OK, I see that I have dropped into the center of some strange cult where all of the members have some kind of strange Emperor's New Clothes type of ear disease. If you think the 'music' sounds great, that's fine, but I don't want to join your cult, so put your pamphlets away. There are already options to choose from, so I thought my question was perfectly valid. If I would have known this was a cult, I wouldn't have asked my perfectly valid question to avoid getting anyone's panties in a bunch, so please ignore my question and go back to dancing around a fire in the nude or whatever you do for fun.
ok the answer is no. there is no option in game to turn off the music.
I think the question just seemed weird to most of us as the music is a definite highlight of the game and pretty complex for an atari game. also if you looked at the options it would seem pretty clear there is no "none" option.
was the 4k version ever released separately? it seems most like the early 8k versions.

Looks like you just found your solution.Works with Stella for me, I just can't stand the music. I have to hit the mute button on my keyboard. But then I can't hear anything else.
what other sound is there? I think the music is great anyway and love the different options.
this is just such a good game period not just for atari homebrew. nice that its an original idea too and not directly based on anything.

such a great game. I really appreciate the addition of diagonals since I primarily play this on my gp2x. anyway love the variety and how you've really perfected the game. it even includes the 1k original if all you want is shooting. this is about as perfect a game as you can get on the 2600

State of Jaguar Emulation in 2021?

I don't think either are developed any more but Phoenix project and IrataJaguar which is the android port are the only emulators I've have good results with. Best bet is to stick with those unless something else come along. Much better performance and less glitches than anything else.
