  1. Thanks for the artwork. It is good work and awesome that you are sharing. It helps give me ideas of how to do artwork and I may use a few of them myself.
  2. Looks more like Lock 'N' Chase with Tron recognizers.
  3. I can't wait to get my system back up to see how it works. Thanks!
  4. I have tried using the code also for moving missiles and now I know it wasn't just me being a noob. I just looked at the 4_FireAMissile.bas program and it uses COLUP1=$28 instead of COLUP0=$28, so it doesn't even work as-is. The code looks a little odd too, so I would be careful about using those programs as gospel. I'm going to be adding some example programs to the bB page as soon as possible and they will be tested to make sure they work. Do you want a missile to shoot like in most games where it continues until it hits something or the edge of the screen, or do you want it to work like that example program (using COLUP0=$28) where it restarts before the shot is over if you press the fire button?
  5. My favorite magazine also and I am glad to see a high rating as the can be hard on homebrew games

    Ature

Great game! Keep up the good work.
  7. Yeah, I don't think it's too easy as it is now - I made the game and I struggle to finish one building. Of course, I'm probably trying to play through it too fast and take too many risks. I'm changing it to three lives instead of six which will make it harder, but in the next version I'm going to put in some way to get an extra life now and then to balance that out. Steve Great work keep it up!
  8. I like it as it is challenging but not to difficult.
  9. Good job, I'll have to try it out at lunch.
  10. is wanting to play Atari today!

  12. Well I was working on a Lunar Lander game. Guess I will have to change mine up a bit. Great work!
  13. I have the same book and just started going through it again after a long time and took the chance to search here for the disc and am very glad I did. Thanks for posting them.
  14. I love the application and this could be something I haven't found yet but I would love to see Line numbering added to the view so I can more easily find the line an error references. Thanks for the great app and keep up the good work.
  15. I can't wait to see the list of all the homebrew games out there. Awesome idea.
  16. Keep it up this is an awesome game and coming along very nicely.
  17. Great video I can't wait to test it out on my Windows 7 machine.
  18. Very nice, I like it so far. keep up the good work.
  19. Great work it is coming along very nicely. I do have one question if I may, how did you duplicate the spikes? I have tried to add multiple enemies and figure it out. Sorry if it is a simple question.
  20. Perhaps there is a market or interest for games programmed in this language but I don't know why one would spend the effort using a language that has such limitations. The original post asked for feedback which I provided. My preference is not to have blocky graphics ala "Superman." If this is not possible or the goal of this project, then disregard my feedback and move on. I appreciate you taking the time to play the game and make suggestions, they're always welcome. At this point, I really can't make any more changes due to the limitations of the bB environment that have been mentioned. I've been working on this for several years and have listened to and implemented lots of suggestions from forum members, but now I'm out of ROM space and I'm pretty happy with the end result. I'm not trying to be crass here, but many people, including myself, actually enjoy the challenge of making a game within the limitations of this environment. It was fun pushing the limits of what I could do with bB, this game actually uses the highest playfield resolution that is possible with the standard kernel. I did the best I could with what I had to work with, and I think the end result is pretty cool. My inspiration for the game was my fondness for the original Atari Adventure game and Raiders of the Lost Ark, which I think it at least matches (or surpasses) graphically. bB games may not be the flashiest, but there are some really good ones that have been released - it's not always about which game has the best graphics. Superman was one of my favorites as a kid. Steve I agree with you that a lot of games have pushed aside game play for flashy graphics. This is why my friend and I have started playing with the bB enviroment and the 2600. We both know Flash, VB, C#, and Java, but want the challenge of limited space and graphics. We also have great memories and fondness for the old games on the 2600. Even recently on the xbox 360 we put in the xbox atari aniversary game and spent 5 hours playing combat, yar's revenge, outlaw, etc. and had a great time with the blocky graphics. I find this game to have great game play and for the system it is built for great graphics. Good job.
  21. This is great work. I loved this game on the NES and you have done a great job with this. The music is nice also. Keep up the good work I can't wait to play the finished game.
  22. I just found this and it is one of mine and my wife's favorite games we play it all the timehere Is this dead or on hold?
  23. Sorry - you need the latest build for that, and it's not yet on the website. To install, unzip the file where bB is installed and overwrite the 4 executables. http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?a...t&id=114295 I thought I had the latest. I will give it a try. That did it. Thank you for your assistance.
