  1. I mis-read the title and thought maybe it was a homebrew Robotron
  2. I don't think games like Math Grand Prix and Sesame Street games belong on the list. They're not really made to be played by anyone over 6.
  3. Is there more to Walker (Clown Down Town) than jumping over a few cops before it seems to start all over again. What the hell is the scoring system? First number goes up, first number goes down. Second "score" maxes at 999 pretty quickly. At least the backgrounds are nice.
  4. Laser Blast is a "zen" game. You have to find your happy place when you play it and submit to the repetition. That explosion sound is like a mantra. I have a soft spot for it since it was my first Activision game.
  5. Not a bad list overall. I would maybe throw Ssssnake on there instead of something like Mr. Do's Castle or even I Want My Mommy. Actually the video of Do's Castle made me wanna revisit it and play it again. Airlock is worse than those too. No animation to speak of and over in 2 minutes. I actually liked Star Ship back in the day. Maybe because someone at school actually owned it and I never saw it anywhere for sale so it was a rarity. Or maybe I just like those kinda shooters, cheesy gfx and all.
  6. Just an FYI, I can still reproduce the floating mario bug on the elevator screen. Not sure if the rom I have is the latest, I downloaded it again a few days ago from where I thought you had posted it.
  7. Mangia is such a weird game, I love it. Bank Heist is another hidden gem Seaquest RealSports Volleyball never gets any love. I played the hell outta that one when it came out. Atari Video Cube once you get the idea is fun. I dismissed it for years as just video Rubik's Cube but it's totally different Another vote for Fast Eddie I also loved Space Cavern and Infiltrate though most seem to hate them Encounter at L-5
  8. Stampede! 30 years later, I still don't get the strategy required to beat this game.
  9. Here is when you jump from the starting platform and use the "cartoon physics" to land. Mario is not dead immediately
  10. OK, one way to get the elevators bug is this.... Jump to the platform with the "hat" or whatever that bonus thing is closest to where Mario starts but up one and to the right Stand on the edge of that platform facing left When a passing elevator is just about nose level with Mario, just walk left and off the platform You'll fall to the bottom and kinda float there for a few seconds before you die. Just save the state in Stella and keep trying, it's not that hard but it does depend on timing it just right
  11. There's still the bug of Mario getting "stuck" once in a while when he jumps from the starting platform to try and catch an elevator. He just hangs there twitching with elevators passing through him until you move, then you die Need to find a way to consistently reproduce that And on the cement screen, should the shrinking top ladders allow you to climb up and "touch" Kong and die? Always thought you were safe from that But make a mad dash for the one on the right and if you get lucky, it happens need to start recording my games
  12. The Beepers were an American music band consisting of Anthony Marinelli, Arthur B. Rubinstein, Brian Banks and Cynthia Morrow. Their single Video Fever was used in the soundtrack for the 1983 film WarGames. Brian Banks and Anthony Marinelli were already known for work together for performances as a synthesizer duo, such as a live performance of Tchaikovsky's Overture to Romeo and Juliet and other works as an opener for a 1980 concert of the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.[1] Banks and Marinelli continue to work together on film music compositions, and with many backing band album credits: Pulse (Greg Phillinganes album) Young Guns (film) soundtrack Nice Girls Don't Explode soundtrack Baby Be Mine (Michael Jackson song) Brother Where You Bound Behind the Mask (song) Internal Affairs (film) Unity (Afrika Bambaataa and James Brown song) Thriller (Michael Jackson album) Pinocchio and the Emperor of the Night
  13. I love hipster Tabasco! Or as I call it, rooster sauce. On home made cold sesame noodles. In the summer. yeah!
  14. Not in a catalog but Zoo Keeper and Choplifter were mentioned in the Atari Age magazine as "coming soon" for the 2600
  15. Space Fury was another excellent game. Point being, every system had its strengths and weaknesses. And Coleco as a second gen system really shouldn't be compared to the 2600 anyway.
  16. Of course it is. That's what makes it fun. Also, Coleco wins nothing. Unless you're a fan of Donkey Kong and obscure arcade ports like Mouse Trap and Slither. It was almost a crime the games that ended up on that system. Looping? Pepper II? Who even played those in the arcade? Though War Games made the system worth owning on its own. And Turbo.
  17. INTV never had a game I really wanted to play other than Dracula. I was oddly addicted to that one.
  18. fair enough. not a big deal overall. can't wait for the cart version.
  19. Yeah I kinda figured it was a sprite copy issue but thought i'd mention it anyway. Also, it's a 'no' for being able to climb broken ladders?
  20. OK one more minor bug. Jump "score" sound is not always played when jumping over cement pies.
  21. Looks good! A "falling" sound on the girder screen when Kong takes the dive would be a nice touch. It gets oddly silent. But other than that, I love it.
  22. Here are some ideas https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BkNeGDNhYZo
  23. Is it possible the Vader is somehow defective? The $3 converter doo-dad has never failed me on any of my 3 LCD TVs. Might be cheaper to get a new system than to have it modded. Of course all my TV's are LG brand so maybe that makes a difference too.
  24. I'll check out what I have in the closet. I have boxes and boxes of dupes.
