I have a CC2 so I have them all

Hey guys, I usually hang out at 2600 and 7800 forums but I'm on a bit of a C= 64 kick lately. Since I'm also I closet terrible musician I started messing with SID songs and was wondering if you guys knew what the popular editors back in the day were. I think the one I used had a GUI and you could drag and drop notes onto a staff. Thought it was Activision's Music Maker but that doesn't seem right. Even though I did own that cart. What else was out there with similar capabilities. I swear it was just something like SID Master or SID Editor but I can't remember that far back.
-
Thanks! I was never a HUGE fan of this game but it's nice to have on the CC2. Of course it wouldn't surprise me if I had the cart downstairs already.
-
Was there a rom for this? I thought I played it at some point but can't seem to find it.

Why would you put "impossible" levels in a game. Seems like a dickish move. The two things I HATE about games are ones that become "impossible" due to difficulty ramp up or stuff like this and "unlocking" things. If I buy a game, give me the ^%$#@! game. You don't buy a car where the air conditioner doesn't work until you "achieve" 3 oil changes or hit 60,000 miles. KLAX WAVE!

Also, I just noticed I posted this on the 7800 forum. Oops. Been playing Moon Cresta, Scramble and Chetiry on my 7800 so it's on the brain.

Nice!

Yeah, a port of the arcade version where the little dancing guy comes out in between levels and steadily the playfield gets crowded with blocks.. Also, I'm not a sound nut so POKEY, not POKEY. Eh. Most of the time I have the sound turned down and music playing anyway.
-
Arcade mode where you clear a round and the next one starts with blocks already on the board similar to how "depth" works in the current one. I was always a bit disappointed that no one made a true arcade port. AFAIK.

Better too hard than too easy. Makes ya wanna go back for more.

Got past Round 1 finally. FAR OUT!

Ah. I thought it was a single entity at that point. But if each ship is treated separately it's quite likely I got ambushed from underneath and the big ship (III) got destroyed. Thanks!
-
So first off, I LOVE this game. It kicks my ass EVERY TIME. Just like in the arcades. But I might eventually get better Anyway Here's the scenario I lost my first ship But I managed to dock ships II and III Then I died. For my LAST guy ship II came out Now I may be wrong, but shouldn't it have been III ? Don't have a working MAME setup at the moment to try it.

https://atariage.com/development_page.html?InDevelopmentID=8 Was it ever finished and released?

How about some sprite animation?

Too many to list. And too many dead brain cells to be certain.

Nope, it's a fairly new system and decent specs. I'll reboot and keep playing. It *is* Windows afterall. And I was probably watching a movie, had my MP3 server running and downloading stuff at the same time. I just bought 3 new HB's. Hopefully this one will be in a future batch!

Am I imagining it or are there some slight slow downs at times? Is it just Stella? And the munching sound in particular seems kinda wonky at times. Esp. when eating a single dot. I dunno. Not criticizing, just trying to offer QA help.
-
That's the "Galaga" hack. Also, for favorite games, that's some truly awful playing.
-
Is there still an active HSC? Maybe they can schedule this game. I played this game quite a bit as a kid because of the nice gfx. And let's be honest because I PAID money for it. Though these days I'm kinda like "oh ANOTHER Activision game where you avoid objects and try and get the best time" It's kind of like Skiing in the sky or Grand Prix or Barnstorming But back then, I bought it, I played it. A lot. Hafta fire it up this weekend.

I never dictated anything. I merely stated that there were already better versions out there. And suggested maybe someone make a proper Lunar Lander since there's an odd version on the SS cart but not a true port. I don't care if someone wants to make Starship 2014 or whatever. But it's like covering Beatles songs, maybe your talents could be better suited elsewhere.
-
Well, I look at Atari like art or music, I wanna see what magic people can create when inspired yet constrained by the limits of the system. I mean you can just use Garage Band and Autotune and make songs. So we don't NEED any "musicians" at this point in music history either. Nice to see you're still grumpy. Where's Red Robot though?
-
Why do we need Starship remade when you have Star Master, Star Raiders and Star Voyager, Star Trek SOS which have already updated the idea. A proper Lunar Lander would be nice. I know it was on one of the FB units but wasn't that one terrible and the rom was never released anyway

Idiots doing things for attention on YouTube. I'm shocked! Not worth blowing a gasket over it.
