But that's probably a lie. If anyone sees any glaring omissions in my collection, feel free to make a suggestion.
  2. Millipede is probably my favorite because the gameplay is fantastic Just got the Conquest Of Mars homebrew and am having a lot of fun with that one as well. Also Jawbreaker and Demolition Herby have been getting a lot of play time. The Go Fish! homebrew is also highly recommended. It hypnotizes you. It's that damn music! Still looking for that Easter Egg!
  3. I would be drinking beer out of that chalice like a pimp.
  4. It's more fun with two players and after a while you develop a sense of which fielder to use which makes fielding easier. Yeah there are still things that annoy me, no tagging up, no hit and runs, no throwing guys out who were running when a fly ball was caught (it just goes to the next batter and puts everyone back to their previous base) So a perfect game? Nope. But much better than RealSports IMO. I would even bump it up to a B- instead of a C
  5. Demolition Herby and Jawbreaker are my two latest finds that I didn't just get because they're obscure. Very fun games. What about Private Eye? Great graphics and animation.
  6. In Videodrome (I just watched it the other night for the first time in ages) there are some 2600 joysticks and boxes for Combat and Air-Sea Battle on top of the TV
  7. I love the fact that some of the "bad" games are getting playing time. Anyone else wanna fess up to the love of a crap game? I just picked up Racquetball so I'm gonna have to give that one a decent shot and see if it has any value to me. Someone mentioned Warplock, I played the hell out of that when i first got it. But then again I'm a sucker for "if it moves, shoot it" games. Anyone like Cosmic Creeps? That's one I picked up recently that doesn't seem to have a point and is too easy.
  8. If you're not playing game #3 with both difficulty switches on "a" then you're not really playing at all
  9. Yeah I'd love to see this setup. And maybe a part number for the piece if it has one so I can look it up. I'm gonna check out the unfinished wood store down the street at lunch time and see what they have there. They custom build stuff too but that might be too expensive.
  10. It should dissipate on its own. If you have a screened in porch or something, leave them outside assuming it doesn't rain on them or they're not in direct sunlight that should help. I hate when I get a cart or a system and it smells like MOLD. Can you Febreeze carts?
  11. I'm certain this has been discussed but I couldn't find the thread so I'm starting a new one. Currently I'm at 220 2600, 28 5200 and 18 7800 games What I would like is to have a way to store them all near the TV in some kind of shelf or bookcase so I can have them all accessible instead of keeping most of them in a box in the closet and only having a handful of carts in a crate next to my 7800 and 5200. Has anyone else figured out this problem? Is there something at Ikea that works or should I just buy a bookshelf for CDs? Have something custom built? At best it would be about 2' wide and tall so I can tuck it into the corner Ideas?
  12. OK yeah I know there are OTHER things that the game is missing but as far as the original question goes, what's your take on that? Leaving everything else as it is, would it make a difference or do the other missing elements ruin it no matter what? I mean, almost every 2600 port is missing something
  13. ....would it still be considered so bad? I think what I find most annoying about it in recent gameplay is that it gets repetitive very quickly with only the two screens because you complete them so quickly If they added the elevators screen (is there any reason this is impossible on a 2600, aside from RAM?) would it not be considered so bad for a VCS port?
  14. Something added for the NES version of the game. There are no boss battles in the arcade version. It seems NES often did that with games. I guess "boss" guys were the big thing back then and every game needed one.
  15. Bump And Jump is right up there Joust, Moon Patrol, Jungle Hunt, Frogger What are the "boss battles" in Gyruss? Am I getting senile?

    Boing!

One thing I've noticed is that it has the same Q*bert mechanism where you can jump through your enemies. Makes it hard to die with a bit of practice. Still a good game though.
  17. Cool! I didn't know Go Fish! had one. That's my goal for the night. Finding it.
  18. Snakes On A Plane needs to be an Atari game
  19. Will Pitfall II work on a 7800?
  20. If we're doing TV shows, there need to be Invader Zim and Futurama games.
  21. Didn't an early version of Turbo exist and was dumped or was that a homebrew / joke someone slapped together? I still have the rom.
  22. Thanks guys, I actually knew about those sites and have probably glanced at them sometime in the past but forgot. Hope some of those eventually show up. Especially Zoo Keeper
  23. That's a cool idea. Like a combination of Looping and Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. Kong can absorb x number of hits before he falls off the building And your plane is always moving, dodging stuff he throws at you and maybe trying not to crash into birds, other planes and the building
