  5. i got a 7800 ballblazer today with the nice red end label, and it reminded me just how uniform the 7800 carts look lined up and it also reminded me how uniform the 2600 red labels are! very cool. so i plan to hunt for the red label carts now. along with a nice jr. anyone else collect mainly red labels?
  6. yie ar looks great! how playable is it at this point? renegade .. yeah . lol im sure the karate champ type games will hold me over and i will just dig for as many as i can find and cypher through them.
  7. thank you! yeah im into the boxing games also. knockout boxing ,is that the one that looks like punchout. if it plays good imsure i would really like that one, even with out a double dragon type game, looks liek there are plenty of options!
  8. That depends. The SD standard defines sizes up to 2GB. Cards with 4GB and more usually use the SDHC standard. There were a few 4GB SD (not SDHC!) cards, but since this size is not officially defined in the SD standard many devices might not be compatible with it. Then: SDHC cards don't work in devices that only support SD. I tried this once with my USB cardreader, it wouldn't even recognize the SDHC card. I haven't tested it with the SIO2SD, but I doubt it supports the SDHC protocol. Anyways: I'd just recommend buying a 2GB SD card. Here in Austria a 2GB Kingston SD card costs approx. 4EUR, a 1GB card is almost the same price (3.50-4 EUR). Smaller cards are almost impossible to get, and if they are available they cost a lot more than 2GB cards (10 EUR and more). Even if you don't need the space for normal usage, you can use the remaining space for a backup of all your Atari stuff. so long, Hias thanx guys for all the advice i will snag up a few from ebay they are cheap on there.and try out my options, yeah i may use the extra space later for something i suppose , thanx again guys!
  9. thank you !! thats the answer i was looking for. i totally agree it turns into "i got this many games" instead of what i play, thats why i was asking.i will go with the 512 because i do plan to use xex files also. and im sure i will never fill it up so to say.
  10. well thanx i didnt think there was one i will stay on the hunt though, yeah the 7800 versions i think are cool , i havent played the 8 bit rampage yet, ,but i am looking forward to it.. for me,, i think the biggest thing is playing these games on an atari. im just amazed at what they where able to do with these machines!
  11. ok so i have been browsing the huge selection of 8 bit games. i have found several fighting games, what i havent seen , is one like double dragon. is there a dd type game for the 8 bits?original or homebrew? i ask because rampage and double dragon are the 2 games that are keeping my 7800 home. i know i can get my rampage on on the 8 bit. just need a dd alternative now.
  12. yeah well i honestly dont know how big its supports? if it wil lhandle a gig , then i would get a gig, just not sure if there is a limit on what it works with
  13. i ordered the sio2sd this eve, looking forward to getting it! anyway, i know most games are very small by todays standards, so i was thinking like a 512 mb sd card, anyone have a rough estimate of howmany that would hold? more than i will ever play im sure

  21. Your XEGS has s-video out? All the ones I've seen have only composite video... Agree 100% on the suggestion that he should get a 2nd XEGS instead of trying to find just a keyboard for the one he's got. Most likely he can get a complete XEGS for cheaper than B&C sells the keyboard for. i think i will you guys advice and look for another complete one, i think you are right the price of the keyboard (unless i find a steal) is gonna be just as much as i could get another complete system or close to it anyway. . now who has an extra to trade me! im gonna post in the wanted section. Right now, there is an auction on ebay that includes a keyboard. It is cheap and uninteresting, so you may want to take a look even if you let the seller keep the vcs. yeah that will go for cheap im sure. i already have a keyboard coming to me , a user here had an extra and should be shipping it monday! thanx for looking out though!
