All my best, Pitfall Harry, I hope all is well.

It is any cart you can find all over the place. It is the carts like Combat. It seems any time I find any Atari games in the wild, I see a Combat.

I have a Frogger without a label. But there is masking tape on it. The word Funk written on it with marker. It was too funny to pass up buying

They look difficult to use, but they do look cool. I think getting them wouldn't be bad if you found a good price for them.

I have one, but I don't know why.

I found Atari Video Cube and Crazy Climber for $1 each, but I think I'll be hard pressed to ever find the others. Impressive book!

It seems a little high to me. I usually pay any where from a 1 to 2.50 for Atari games. Thrift stores here seem to have low prices for games.

What's up with the Frogger cart labels?
FelixtheGamer replied to Atari2600Lives's topic in Atari 2600
I have several Froggers which are missing the labels as well. Curiously, one has tape with the word "Funk" written on it. -
I've been looking at flea markets, thrift stores and pawn shops while on vacation. It has turned up a lot of Atari games. I am pleased with this since previously I had been having trouble finding some. I know several (if not nearly all) of these are pretty common, but I thought I'd post my finds lately. Air Sea Battle Sky Diver Star Raiders Bowling Indy 500 Math Gran Prix Circus Atari Commando Raid Enduro Skeet Shoot Dragonfire Video checkers basketball Smurf miniature Golf Seaquest Kangaroo Demon Attack No Escape Speedway II Infiltrate (These following are in the boxes) Space Invaders Home Run Combat Video Olympics Star Ship Gravitar Brain Games (Also found some keyboard controllers) How's everybody else's hounding going?

Great artwork. They both look good and very cool!

I tend to buy games when they are older and used. Or at least have been out a while and the price comes down. If a game really strikes me, I will pre-order it or buy it at the best price I can find. I tend to go in streaks. I won't buy anything for a while. Then in a week or two buy several games.

Playstation 1 controllers work on both the playstation and the PS2. Don't have an extra, but it shouldn't be hard to find an cheap one.

I've played many dvd's on the PS2. It works great with one exception I have come accross. For some reason while watching Tron it messed up. The sound was okay, but the picture was goofed up. However, this is the only problem I have run into with the PS2 playing dvds. I know many of my friends use it as their main DVD player and no complaints from them.

If you have the receipt or the stub from the money order then you can do something. You go back to where ever you purchased the money order and explain what happened. They will give you a form. You fill it out, send it in and get your money back. If the guy did get it and cashed it, then when you recieve your money back, it should say so.

I know this probably does not help and only is slightly related, but...I have seen used Nintendo, Super Nintendo and Sega games at K-Mart. Some had packaging saying they were used and some were loose with little more then a price tag. The last time I went, they had several. However, no Atari games. Since they have a current(?) practise of this, they probably did it with 2600 games at one point in time.

I bought Space Dungeon with the box and joystick coupler for $10. The box is in so so shape, but the game is in great shape as well as the coupler.

Cassidy, I am glad it all sort of worked out, but it sounds like such a pain! E-bay can be good, but sometimes you run into major hassles. My biggest problem with it, is I always seem to get out-bidded at the last min. UGH! That can be frustrating.

What's the most you've spent on Atari in one month?
FelixtheGamer replied to KAZ's topic in Atari 2600
I tend to go a while without buying anything and then buying a lot in a short amount of time. I haven't bought much off of e-bay, so most of my stuff has come from garage sales and flea markets. I think the most in one month was 200. I picked up a 2600, 10 joysticks and most of the games I currently own. I probably have spent, hmm... around 600 all together. I have been collecting around a year and a 1/2. My collection is not too big yet. I hope to start building up more and finding more things soon. -
Hey everybody, Thanks for the help! I had a feeling it was high in price. The guy has nice things in his booth, but he has most everything marked up high. I've found for the most part, Atari items are inexpensive at the flea market. This booth is an exception, but it is nice to look and see the cool stuff there. I had the good luck of picking up my first 5200 the week before. I had never found one in a flea market before and now I have seen two in two weekends. Now I have a better understanding of what the prices should be. Thanks!

I was looking around the flea market this weekend and found a boxed Space Dungeon with the cart and also a joystick coupler. I was looking at the 5200 hardware guide and read it came with two games. One, Space Dungeon and the other Robotron 2084. I looked at the rarity guide and it list the games both at a 2. My question is, what's the rarity on the joystick coupler? Would it be a 2 also or slightly rarer since you tend to find more loose carts then ones with boxes. Also, how do we figure out the rarity of hardware? Is there a list for it? Thanks!

Hey, I am new to the board and was looking around the site. I checked out the rarity guide and notice there have been some post about the rarest games. What I want to know is, what's the most common? What's the one or two games you always seem to find when you look through a stack of games at a flea market or where ever else you search? I always seem to Combat and breakout.

Hello, I recently have been looking for more and more Atari 5200 stuff. I am new to this board and don't know a lot about the 5200. I have a 2600 and a ton of games for it, but not much with this one yet. My question is this, I was at the flea market this past weekend and saw a 4 port Atari 5200 with the automatic switch. It came with two controllers and a power supply. It also came with pac-man. The guy wanted $70 for it. I haven't done much research on how much the system go for or anything like that. I was curious as to if it is a good price or if it is too high. Thanks!
