Beating survival island was exceptionally challenging. I agree on spikes peak as well. turmoil gets insane and so does space master x-7, I think that's why I love them so Beany Bopper and Worm War I can be really fun when they get going. Still waiting for Worm War II :-)

Adventures of the 50-foot-tall Stalk of Celery
Godzilla replied to atari2600land's topic in batari Basic
this looks really neat and there are far too few video games with a celery stalk as the protagonist! -
I bought it too, I don't have a problem with what I see as an homage more than anything. It certainly doesn't affect my past and continued future support of inty carts (I own many inty homebrew carts and buy as many as I can find!) Imitation being the sincerest form of flattery, I see it as adding to or helping inty awareness.

could it be missing a chip on the left half in that picture?

I guess to me, as I read the topic, the first chess video game implies a game for a video game system (which an MIT mainframe is not,) so unless the o2 chess game with the giant cpu brick (which I have,) or the fairchild chess cart (have also,) came out before video chess, video chess gets the nod as first chess video game in my book.

Was anyone here an original 1984 Atari 7800 owner?
Godzilla replied to BillyHW's topic in Atari 7800
so was there a 7800 sold somewhere in 1984? There sure wasn't in NYC -
zylon: still own and played both back in the day. Both great games with some similar play elements, but I still stand by my previous statement. How are you? Good to see you again

The Mystery of Ultima V for the Atari 8-Bit
Godzilla replied to RobS's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
that would have been awesome, I would have loved to see u5 on atari... shame origin didn't agree! -
man jag avp, still to this day, does things I have never seen any other ftps do. The atmosphere, the way it forces the player to actually do some role-playing to figure out how to survive. The game has palpable fear in ways I've never felt in any game before or since. I beat all the campaigns but the Marine is still my favorite. Such a great game. I agree, not nearly over-rated enough.

well, I followed the 7800 since I first read about it in electronic games back in the day and in New York, there was no where to buy it until it was released later.. -
