  1. only if its mip mapped, bump mapped, 99 pass texture mapped, antistropic filtered, 99x full scene anti aliasing at 9,999,999 x 9,999,999 pixels, and 999 frames per second.
  2. yea i do that all the time with vic omega race, cause the rf interference is really bad. If I lower the brightness and contrast, i can get a nice clean glowing display without interference tho :-)
  3. i cant wait to see/play that ant eater game. I love the oils well style gameplay. But on an unrelated note to the variance of the topic, can u guys talk about making a more arcade accurate 2600 omega race again, please :-) I love omega race! It's got to have the music as accurate as possible too. Vic-20 Omega Race is a great place to look for suggestions (as its raster also,), its my favorite home version of omega race ever.
  4. damn non-standard carts! :-( Yea, its out in europe for their emerson arcadia compatibles (leisure vision, etc?) I've got it on my arcadia multi-cart from god-like dude Ward Shrake. One day I'll have time to finish wiring my old consoles and I'll be able to play it...
  5. Does anyone know if this game will surface, either as a rom, or to purchase? It's one of my favorite arcade games, and I can't wait to see the 2600 version....
  6. i want progressive scan and holographic output, dammit!
  7. if u never knew u could use a paddle with it, you probably never played it. great 2600 shooter.
  8. Man that takes me back :-) I remeber that being my favorite game on Space War too, I played the heck out of it as a kid. I havent played it since though. Read my Star Ship thread for a similarily themed 'old game most think is crap that I love' bit.
  9. well i wrote the review for atari today. lets see if they put it up
  10. oh :-) thanks for the tip :-) and how about that multi fire? btw, great SI version. really has a different feel from the atari verrsion. and I love the look and sound
  11. I dont know if this has been addressed, but my special edition, when I hit select for multi lives, the life counter jumps to 7, but when you start the game, it goes back to three and u have no xtra lives. Does it have multi fire like 2600 port? :-) im using an adam w/ a coleco adaptor, btw
  12. Played Star Ship again last nite, so I could write a good review for Atari Today. He offered to replace his review with mine, so as soon as I have the time to spit it out... I failed to mention a THIRD game in Star Ship, Warp Drive, where you control your speed (with a neat sfx for your different speeds,) and try to go as far as possible (in parsecs,) as you can in 2.16 minutes.) Warp Drive is ALSO a fun game. It's the only game that doesn't have a two player mode tho. Am I the only one who really liked having many games in one cartridge (street racer was really good with variety too,) Star Ship has: Star Ship, the 2 player 'shoot the module game', one/2 player simul Lunar Lander game, and The Warp Drive game. All of which are actually different games. Not bad for an ol primitive small game. It's definately something that modern games do not have, lots of actual different games (and compilations dont count,)
  13. marc, truer words were never spoken. i remain keeping the faith, but the faith fades with time.

  15. well, e.t. and especially raiders really made me feel i was playing a role, the way the inventory affects what you can do and how it enables you to access more game areas and do new things has a real 'rpg' feel to me and yes from some perspective, they are all 'role' playing games, even space instigators! :-)
  16. i would never give up my prized QB! :-) It's just nice to occassionally hear a programmes report, etc. (Also, I'm just trying to weasel myself a copy of your kung fu game! or weasel you into making more copies! you evil evil man you!)
  17. any tips on getting z26 to work with xp MCE? ive got the latest version (of z26,)
  18. such negativity! Well, I guess I have answered my question as far as 'yup most people think Star Ship is turd' I proudly enjoy the turd that is star ship. I also like data age warplock and encounter at l-5! I also like all the mythicon games!

  22. not being knowledgeable on the programming involved, but could the wall colors be changed each line (or several lines,) to produce gradient walls? Just curious
  23. wow. sorry you had to sell that :-( I'd love to have one of those. I love the funny ending messages. I still stand by Star Ship as a fun game with ugly graphics.
