  1. read above for my take on the mindscape turd. The 'ergo' stick stuck to my hand and was uncomfortable (not very ergo.) Though, also, I've never been a fan of the claw grip and lock claw I get after using any of the 500xjish controllers.
  2. I don't believe it's even close to enough. Are there too many 'old art' museums? Are we moving towards the year 2,100?? I think there is plenty of room in the world for many truly world class, international, new-media museums. I don't know the details of their plans. I've been working on mine since 1980 when I started collecting. I've been posting about it here practically since I joined and talking with others about it as well. Just ask n3146 or rob fulop or any of the others I've talked to about this. Shame my concussed memory isn't perfect... I no longer remember who all I asked to be on the board... I know Albert agreed once, long ago... :-) Read the facebook and one spark pages to see what some ideas are for where I believe this can go...
  3. I have several myself. I -LOVE- the supercharger. I have a modded one with a switch and an unmodded one and probably some extras??
  4. the tac-5 sucked, squishy and unresponsive compared to the good ones. the mindscape stick literally split it's shell from light use due to the torque. (and that was three brand new ones back in the day, when I bought it and returned it for a replacement,) It was ok when it worked. last one I duct taped together before using lasted a little longer.
  5. Twentieth Anniversary Mac, I'm guessing? Not only does it still work, but it's CIB with the leather pen set and subwoofer and all, natch :-) (And there is some known issue these had that was factory serviced back in the day before I got it...)
  6. for me it really varies with the game, best all-around (on a budget,) for me is the wico bat-stick. For certain games, that need a fast response, the tac-2 is unmatched. Overall, (though, I have a feeling you would have a hard time getting it for less than $10 these days (got mine at a flea ages ago,) probably a lot more now,) the sansei is my all-around favorite. http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/32372-sansei-joystick-controller/ pic on bottom. Still haven't heard of any other owners...
  7. http://www.beonespark.com/registered_creators/118 My dream grows ever closer!!! :-) I saw a documentary on the guy running twin galaxies and how he took his stuff to the Smithsonian and no one cared. I care. A LOT. I want these kinds of things to have a home, where they can live long after myself and cpu are gone. Don't let the joystick die!
  8. Thanks, CPU When this place is in open, many will be able to see and play some pretty unique works of art
  9. hahaa No, just slowly building. I am working to get a brick and mortar going. This is the virtual front for that.
  10. Check out my facebook page if you are on there... http://www.facebook.com/theimagic open to comments! (Actually full title, The International Museum of Art in Games and Interactive Creations.
  11. hmm all the megauploads are dead... does anyone have these to reup?
  12. i would rule it like a pirate ship, the floggings will continue until morale improves! :-)
  13. thanks for the link fix... cant wait to check out that rom.. :-) thanks for sharing!
  14. weird i can get to it through google but the link doesn't work.. strange... http://www.atarimania.com/2600/boxes/hi_res/circus_charlie_i.jpg does that work? towards the top of this page if this works... http://www.atarimania.com/list_games_atari-2600-vcs-p_total-page-step-letter_471-2-200-C_2_G.html
  15. im looking for the sentinel/sentry for the acorn (saw screenshots in an old mag long ago,) looked to have a lot more color than the amiga version...
  16. http://www.atarimania.com/game-atari-2600-vcs-circus-charlie_20634.html four screens on the 2600 version...
  17. but with it having that release date, it's reasonable to assume that the cancelled proto for the 2600 was somewhere along the way, isn't it?
