  1. Hi, to solve the mystery if it exists I have taken a Screenshot because i'm not sure which game it could be. It says Dimax at the bottom of the Screen. Hope this helps. greetings Tom
  2. Any idea how much it is worth ? I never come across one since i started collecting. greetings Tom
  3. Hi Albert, that's what i thought first - but the reason why i posted this is the game works perfectly on my 2600 ! I couldn't believe it by myself but it runs great ! greetings Tom
  4. Hi guys, i got some games today and found this one in it . I was wondering if it works on the 2600 because it first looked like a colecovision cart for me - also the label says colecovision . Any intentions on the rarity ? greetings Tom
  5. @ CPUWIZ you can find the big Cosmic Swarm boxes in australian auctions ! I also got mine from an australian guy after searching for it a long time. greetings Tom
  6. Hi, you're absolutely right when you say that these coleco Kiosk is a 1:1 reproduction - and it isn't a problem for me to build the joysticks in the desk but what i wanted was no exact replica for the following reasons : 1. the electronics is nearly impossible to get anywhere except you''ll find the one or other on ebay once a year but that's no base to build a series of kiosks. 2. a reproduction of the electronics will be too expensive - i don't think that anyone is willing to spend over 1000 Euro for a reproduction. 3. there is also no chance to get hands on the original Joysticks/Paddle combination that is build in the original unit. I wanted to create an authentic looking kiosk repro without electronics - as i stated in the opening of this thread ! Anyway i build in the lightened marquee because that wasn't expensive. About the cables - i planed to drill a hole in the desk to lead the cables out to the back of the kiosk - maybe i will do this on the next units. But personally i leave the joystick cables where they are because everytime when i play on the kiosk take the stick of from the desk - that is much better gaming as i find and you have better view on the screen ! greetings Tom P.S. as far as i know Atarimuseum hasn't build an Atari Kiosk repro yet - only the Coleco - and except the global measurements is the coleco Kiosk absolutely differnet from this one !
  7. Hi Guys, just another (maybe) interesting update for you. I have thought about the shipping thing again and another idea to strip the shipping cost is if i do the Kiosk as a complete Do-It-Yourself Kit. That means you only get the loose parts ( around 50 single Parts plus screws, and lettering ) and some kind of ilustrated manual to build it yourself - but you need propper tools to build it. If i do it that way i can pack 3 or maybe 4 units on one Europalette - so you have very low shipping costs on it. Due to less work for me to build the unit i can give 50 Euro discount on a single Kit ! But thats all i can do for you - i have been thinking over the calculation the last days - and finally it seems that there isn't any chance to make the whole thing cheaper - sorry ! Hope these are good news. greetings Tom
  8. Oh another thing i forgot. i think if i dismount the unit i can pack up 2 on 1 Europalette so the shipping cost splits into half ! It's another idea if some of you guys team up !? greetings Tom
  9. Hi, the size of the Kiosk isn't the Problem - and sure you can get is at Kit - you can remove the side panels by loosing the screws - i mainly used screws on the unit - only the desk and the upper construction incl. the lightning is screwed and glued. ( so it builds a single unit - all other parts are removable by loosing the screws ) I also dismounted the unit to get it into my gaming room But nevertheless it makes no changes on the shipping rate because here in germany you pay for the space of a Europalette in the shipping container not for the size or the weight of it ! So i really can't to anything on the shipping ! I talked to several shipping companies here in germany and the cheapest offer actually is 250-300 Euro but without customts paperwork - and that is also necessary for shipping (and this is around 50 Euro additional !) But c'mon guys - if i would have the possibility to get such a unit under 1000 Euro incl. shipping i wouldn't think twice about it - i've watched the Kiosk auctions since i started collecting and i've never seen a unit that hasn't scratches, missing parts and marks on it - and they all went for much more money - here you can get a brand new unit that matches the original very close as you can see for yourself ) It's just an idea but - maybe some of you oversea collectors can team up and order 5 units (for example) then maybe the shipping company gives a discount or so !? But i can't promise anything ! Anyway i'll do my best to find a solution for that "shipping thing". greetings Tom
  10. Hi, finally i found a propper TV-Set this evening so here's a 101% complete Picture It wasn't cheap at all to build the Kiosk especially because i used high quality components to make this Reproduction really worth owning it - so i used the best materials and have done a lot research to find them. And believe me - if i sell this unit for 600 Euro - it's a very good "special Atari fellow collector pals price" - but what the heck - for me it's very much fun to build such a unit and make the owner happy to own such a great Item in hope he enjoys it like me. greetings Tom
  11. Hi, what black areas to you mean ? The only black area is the front where all the control/game selection switches are located at the original unit. If you mean them i don't plan to repro them because it has varoius colors on it and this one is not possible to do with our summacut plotter (anything else would be too expensive - i don't want to raise the price for a unit any more). greetings Tom
  12. Hi, finally here are the pics of the finished unit. The only thing that i'm missing is a proper old 70's TV Set that rounds up everything Hope you enjoy it ! greetings Tom P.S. actually my digicam is too old to make better pictures - i think i need a newer one
  13. Hi Guys, well i finally did it - the first Kiosk is 100% complete and finished ! I've finished it this evening after getting the lettering today and the glassdoor holders ! I will post the final pictures this weekend when i have the unit at home and prepared for photo shooting greetings Tom
  14. OK, this is really tough to say guys but as i know for myself how hard it is to get the dimensions neither some blueprints i can't sell or do some plans. (also if i would - i have no exact measurements of the original unit the only plans i have are in my head - so what should i do The only plans i had building this project where some pictures from the net. It was very hard for me to build this unit only with these pictures - i had to test out several ideas to bring all the pieces together to finally fit and build a kiosk that match the original as good as possible. greetings Tom
  15. Hi Eric, as i said, the lettering isn't ready yet, i need to plot the atari Fuji for the sides and of course the lettering for the marquee which actually isn't fitted yet as you can see in the photo. I think the unit will be ready end of next week. greetings Tom
  16. Hi Guys, here comes the first Update for the building process and also first pictures of the prototype unit. The unit is actually 80% complete (only the glass doors, the marquee and the lettering/labeling is missing) For all of you European guys that will be at the Eurocon 2004 - i decided to show one unit at the Eurocon - so anyone who is interested in a Kiosk can see it live ! For the US Collectors - i've teamed up with some cargo companies here in germany and they gave me a shipping quote of 300-350 Euro for sea shipping - but the price isn't the final price because i can only arrange transport to your next harbor - from there you can either pick it up by yourself or arrange the transport with a US transport company. European shipping is as i said around 150-200 Euro (f.e. to France, Italy) Hope you enjoy the pics. I'll let you know when the unit is finished and post the final pics. greetings Tom
  17. Hi, i also observed the "Kiosk auctions" a very long time now and as you know the better the condition is the higher the price will go. Usually i think you can say a complete mint unit goes from 1500 upwards and an incomplete bad treated one is between 500 (broken parts, missing glasses, mounts and boards) over 1000 (missing glasses, board there but not working etc.) to 1500 (used condition) all without shipping. These are the prices i've seen so far. And as i said - i will talk to our shipping company and see what the shipping to USA will cost and let you know. greetings Tom
  18. Hi, just a short update. I ordered first parts for the first unit. I think i can start building next week and will post first pictures. Until now there are 3 of you interested in a unit - let me know who else wants one to dump the price. greetings Tom
  19. Hi, okay, okay, i guessed that the question about the price would come up - but depending on the actual prices i have for the materials to build it i absolutely don't think that the price goes much under 600 Euro/Unit. But this is a very rough first Price ranking i think and as i said - the more Units i build at the end - the lower the price goes of course. About the International Shipping - i will try to make it possible to ship the Unit in Pieces on a Europalette (Measures around 100cmx80cm) so the price depends only on the shipping company. But i know a very good cargo company here in germany which makes very good prices (for Example - i have shipped a car engine on a Europalette from germany to italy for only 130 Euro) greetings Tom
  20. Hi Guys, first of all the topic isn't all right but let me tell you what's the deal : I'm planing to do some rebuilds of the Atari 2600 Dealer Kiosk and wanted to see if there is anybody else interested in a unit for a fair price ? I'm rebuilding the complete unit with original Logos, original Colors and measurements - also with a lightened Atari Video Games marquee ! To keep the price low and also due to the rarity of the boards i'm not planing to build electronics into the unit - neither i don't want to install Joysticks or Paddles . (The Kiosk comes without them all !) Anyway you can use your standard console for gaming and/or display. I will start building a prototype unit the next weeks. If anybody is interested in a unit please let me know and i will try to make a kind of Pre-Order List to see if it is worth making a small series of this cabinets (the more of you guys team up the cheaper the price will go for the materials, paint, wood ... aso.) greetings Tom
  21. Hi everyone, because i know how tough it is to find these two titles and i already catched them a short while ago i thought this could be interesting for all you fellow collectors. Q-Berts Qubes : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...item=3089501565 Gremlins : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3089531280&rd=1 That's what i call Rare games  greetings and happy collecting Tom
  22. Cart, Manual and Box are in great shape ! I thought about 25 Euro ! ( around 30 US$) Plus shipping greetings Tom
