I'll throw an idea up just for fun. Feel free to use or discard at your leisure. We'll call this one Dwarven Defender. You play a dwarf defending a castle from an onslaught of dragons. It plays like Off the Wall where you try to reflect dragon fire back at the dragons with your shield. The dragons breath fireballs down upon the tower you are guarding. A reflected fireball that touches a dragon kills it. Your main form of offense is a triangular spray of water(probably looks like the flashlight beam on Mountain King) to put out the fires. If three fires are started on the tower, you lose a life. If the dwarf touches a fire without putting it out, you lose a life. Three lives. 10 dragons per level, 2-3 on screen at a time. The levels get progressively faster with possibly more dragons. A spear appears periodically on either side of the tower. Each time you touch one it can be thrown once as a free attempt to kill a dragon. When holding a spear, tower fires cannot be put out until the spear is thrown. Score based upon dragons killed. Next caller!

Insane as it may sound, I have never seen a Phantasm movie, and can barely remember the name. I've been rewatching them on watch-movies.net. Most of my friends have heard of it(things like that is why we became friends), but the more time goes on the less people remember it. It's not just a cult classic series, it IS a phantasm. There are four movies and there was almost a fifth that was supposed to be released this year originally. It has since been postponed indefinitely. Once again living up to the title by not being there. The classic Phantasm movies do not have great storylines, but it is well worth waiting through the dull scenes to get to the good scenes. They are full of cheesy one liners and gags. Even if there were no orbs of death or zombie dwarves, Angus Scrimm as The Tall Man brings an element of horror to the movies as has not been seen since Nosferatu. A Dracula as brutish as Frankenstein's Monster. His presence marries and then murders the qualities of Freddie and Jason. With all these comparisons in mind: zombie dwarves and flying silver spheres that will...well, I'll save it for a surprise. I hope I've sold you on watching it. Now, I'll pretend there is a commission check for my publicity on it's way in the mail.

Has anyone else seen this game? Here is a youtube demo: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGRa5dAnO18 Here is the game download: http://www.yoyogames.com/games/show/25379# Not a 2600 title, but I figured the fans of the original game would be most suited to critique it.
