  1. Thank god he finally got the recognition he deserved before he left us.... It is sad to see him go. I wish all the best to his family and friends in this time of sorrow.
  2. I bet quite a few considering that the fact does not seem to be mentioned on the cart, box or manual....Was there some kind of insert that told people to use the other joystick?
  3. "Sensors detect another quarter in your pocket, deposit it to be the captain of Starship 1" Nice find!
  4. I think that really depends on the type of plastic... Some is more heat resistant than others.
  5. I'm not so sure that's a valid argument...if, as you said "the disk drive did a good enough job by itself making itself warp when using regular games" adding to that with a reflective disk could greatly increase fail rate. So the real question is, Do silver disk really reflect more heat? or is that just an urban legend?
  6. Don't know how true this is but the old story about PS1's was that a silver disk reflects back more heat than a black disk and eventually causes the plastic plate that holds the laser to warp... Of course you could buy black disks to avoid that.
  7. It is called advanced search.... http://www.atarimani...ntry=16&step=25
  8. Avoid the Goldstar model in that case. Many people have had problems running CDRs on that unit, though YMMV. I never had trouble playing CD-R on my Glodstar. That is until I wore out the laser and now it won't read anything..
  9. Twisted was a great party game. I'm surprised no one has mentioned it till now. I think my favorite game BITD was Road Rash. I spent many hours playing that....
  10. LOL...Damn it, we need a "sarcasm tag".
  11. By that rational, we don't need rom files unless you are making pirate carts...just a screenshot is sufficient to preserve a game for future generations.
  12. I really hope it does get scanned one day because some day these might be lost forever. As you say these are incredibly rare, there are not many out there. Just like the games will bit rot with time so does paper rot. Not to mention natural disasters.....
  13. No killing needed... Section-Z (poster) (U).pdf I can see how that would be easy to fake but most game docs are much more difficult. No worries, someone else will scan them one day.
  14. If it was a working joystick it would be a nice addition to a room with this table... http://ultra-awesome.blogspot.com/2008/05/nes-coffee-table-final-post-rah.html
  15. I'm just looking for scans of the following manuals. If anyone can help that would be awesome. Thanks. Bass Masters 2000 Batman Beyond - Return of the Joker Brunswick Circuit Pro Bowling Golden Nugget 64 Harvest Moon 64 International Superstar Soccer '98 John Romero's Daikatana Midway's Greatest Arcade Hits Volume 1 Powerpuff Girls - The Chemical X-traction Super Bowling
  16. Try here... http://www.megaupload.com/ Or one of the many other DDL sites, and just post the download link here. EDIT: ....or Mediafire...
  17. I checked the images in your photobucket and they are the same... Did you resize these before uploading them? Do you still have the original scans? This is the problem... With nice fresh scans those two images should be the same size and line up clean. If it was only 2 images I might try to manually resize one to match the other but with this many images.....it will get messy. If you have the raw scans please, zip and upload.
  18. I can do the joins but can you zip up all the scans and upload them somewhere? Mediafire has resized your images.
  19. That's normal when you get a woody. Don't worry.
  20. Awesome! Add in a bonus round where you get to punch a Jukebox (a la Street Fighter).... Come on homebrewers...get on it...
  21. I thought this was going to be another "when is Duke coming out?" thread... http://www.2kgames.com/#/
  22. First one.... (Note: these are not my work, I found them)
  23. Here it is (among other TV what-if's)
  24. Alot of these games were owned by young children at some point. As a kid I poked thru the label of a couple carts (never bothered to remove the screw).
  25. I had a Goldstar 3DO back in the day (still do somewhere) and it was a great system at the time. I thought that the graphics were better than PS1 in many cases. What killed it was that the PS1 was cheaper and had more game developers supporting it..
