Can't really answer that question - as I have the full set that I think are necessary. Games like Fight Night are an embarrassment to the system, do to the lame playability. Like Mat Mania Challenge. But other than that, I can probably cover most games, even Star Wars and Kessell Attack. By the way, I have Travi, and feel that I have not much more to offer him, who's next?
Thanks y'all....love the 7800 development - as an outsider. Would really like to have a Super Pac-Man cart, and all developers for this system should be rewarded consistently for their obvious time and effort on a system that was underlooked and timed terribly.

Yes, doing the same as many of us here, just wanted to make sure I was still on the list for a cart - posted before but just checking in. Thanks much, incredible work - kudos to you.

Sorry all, I have been so busy with 2 jobs that I have barely had any time for Travi. I haven't had time for my girlfriend, family, etc....it's been so busy at work. I will make a conscious effort to take some shots this week and then make the plans on getting him out to the next recipient. No excuses, just slammed at work. He did meet Margaret Cho but my stupid camera wasn't working, so that sucked.
Hi ChrisWould be great to see mor pics.
greetings Walter

Any chance of Travi and I seeing this game in an actual cart before I pass him on to the next lucky recipient? Put me down for one...still hoping that we can get a pic of Travi and 7800 Star Wars and others.

What can I say, the dogs try to lick Travi, I pull them away, he has that kind of appeal, ya know? Travi teases them, he tells them he's got bones, and then laughs at them....Sick fucking cartridge, this guy is, Christ, he's got the dogs all over each other now....they're going to poop out a scrapyard.....
just kidding. Mollee is too old for that kind of action.
Travi saw the Los Lonely Boys tonight, great Texican rock. Phone f-d up and I don't have pics. Sorry. But maybe later this week he can see Rusted Root, and Bassnectar, and some lesbian action with Melissa Ferrick. God knows Travi can't get enough lesbian action.
Good times and working way too many hours,
Friday

Oops, guess that worked. OK, more photos to come soon, I will bring him to many concerts where I work, at Higher Ground in Burlington, VT. It's a no - smoking venue, so no smoke damage will be put on the cartridge.

Travi arrived in Vermont, USA today. Just wanted to say thanks to Gambler172 and Shawn Sr. I don't know HTML or how to put pics in here, cuz I'm an idiot....but I attached it below if you want to see the picture of Travi with my 2 dogs Tackleberry and Mollee. Maybe someone can embed it within the body of this message if they want.....sorry and thanks....

Say, put me down for copy. Now I need sell something to get the cash, Hmmm I know.
Yes, if you would put my name down too, I guess I would play it on the 7800.
Thanks much. [email protected]

Where do you get one of those? Been all over his site, and seen nothing about how to get one, or price, just how it's built.....
I think he usually charges around $300-400 for portables. That is much more feasable for sure. I can see it beig worth $350 for sure.

I'm ready for Travi, whenever, I'll show him around the Burlington, VT region....or if he gets to me before I leave for my tour with Mike Gordon (in which I may bring my 7800 on the tour bus....we've been talking about it....), that way he'll see lots of the country. Let me know....I'm going nationwide starting on August 2nd....but doing all weekends at big festivals in july....would have been good to bring him to Rothbury or Allgood.....
Anyway....most dates are posted, some are yet to be announced....but pretty much all of August and the first week of September, I'll be out on the road touring as Mike Gordon's tour manager.

Bring on more prototypes! Where's that Atari Team Wrestling?Didn't that make it out the door as MAT MANIA CHALLENGE once the license was secured?
That's the theory. I don't know if any conclusive proof and surfaced however. It makes sense though.
Tempest
I thought that Atari Team Wrestling was one of the games in development when they hung it up, like Moon Patrol, etc....totally different (and hopefully improved) game.

I got mine today. Only tried them out briefly. The color and graphics are amazing. Sound is virtually non-existent. They gameplay is good, but everyone is right, Sirius is really f-ing hard. Plutos is a lot like Planet Smashers, but really fun and it changes up more. The graphics for both are just great, definitely on par with any system of the day, but in Atari style. Not the bubbly NES style....Bring on more prototypes! Where's that Atari Team Wrestling?

Klax is a blast. Ikari Warriors is great. Commando and Ballblazer have the Pokey chip, so it's nice to hear what the system can do soundwise, plus they are both great games. You gotta try at least one light gun game, I would recommend Crossbow. I still think the version of Xevious is great, no matter what people say. Beef Drop and Bonq are right on, as well as the Pac Man Collection. You might be better off asking what games NOT to get. Like Mat Mania Challenge, Cracked, Fight Night, any of the flight simulators (boring), and Tank Command. Cousin Vinnie can tell you more about what games completely suck, he is usually right on with his reviews, for the most part.

From what I recall, they both went pretty high...100+.Didn't you click on the link I posted a few back, I've been listing them as pairs with "Buy it now", starting at $79.99 BIN $99.99? The opening bid is fair IMHO, it takes me a while to make each one and the donors aren't exactly cheap either.

Missed it. Can we do it again? Love those graphics, would love to get the carts. Don't have emulator capability....just want them for the collection....
-
I'm using your ROM.What's the label look like? Also, which ROM is it? Is it the one that I put together a few years ago? Or, something different?
I'm not doing anything special with the labels; the cartridges I use are new Jinks "donors," and I simply print small (1/2" x 1-3/4") "Possible Mission" labels and affix them on top of the original end and face labels (which also conveniently covers the screw hole
). I've tried to keep the materials cost to a minimum, since that's basically what I'm selling them for, so doing something fancier is unfortunately beyond my means. Besides, I figure that the old labels are easy enough to remove if somebody wants to go the extra mile and print custom labels for themselves.I know this is quite old. I'd still love to get a possible mission cartridge for the 7800. I know the deal, please advise if anyone out there wants to get rid of one. Thanks much....

Great. It's a good idea to update just so the community realizes that there is real interest in the 7800 out there, and a lot of potential to boot. All the support can keep sites like yours and atariage.com in business, because there is obviously not a lot of money to be made in keeping it just a hobby. Thanks and keep up a great idea.
-
How about the individual pages for the 2600, 5200, and 7800 get updated? There are slews of new games out for all 3 systems, but still not updated in the master lists. For instance, Asteroids Deluxe or Space Duel for the 7800 - they are sold right here on this site! It would be nice to see the compilation of all known games in one convenient database here on atariage.com, but I'm starting to see my collection grow with titles for all three systems that aren't on those lists. It is the best database on the web for those systems, with the screenshots, etc....right there a click away. It would just be nice to see them complete.Sounds like you are volunteering for some work!

I am ready to help at anytime. This site needs support, and I'm ready to help, Albert and all. Just say the word. It is a blog, and if it needs help, I'm not here only to comment. Just say the word.

Well, I guess the question (and decision) is how much it would cost you to produce carts, how much time you want to spend, and how much you need to make off of each cart. I thought yesterday that I would be able to get yours for $100, but the demand exceeds that. So, I think you should consider making 50+ of them, and making a profit. If you need Summer or Winter Games, I have both, and I'd rather just get another copy of them off of ebay or whatever, in order to let you do what you need to do. Let us know, I'm glad you are receptive towards this topic. Believe me, I'd get a CC2 and work with y'all if I could, but working 80+ hours a week in the music business gives me very little time to spend on this type of thing. I'd just like to play the games, and am willing to support anyone who takes the time to make new carts for the 7800 happen. Cheers and thanks!
-
I think it's some idiot from here. This was my point from my earlier request. On the chuckwagon.com site, Plutos is already over $104.00....so why not have these carts made up, of Sirius and Plutos, there is obviously money to be made there.....the 7800 protos are definitely demanding some dough. I'd like to have one, but triple digit pricing is a little much right now....

I dunno. Some people seem to spend more time responding with useless posts then the amount of time it would have taken to read thru the thread real quick. I hope you didn't wast too much of your free time doing so...
You just aren't going to let this die, are you. Very mature. Well I'm letting it die, I said my piece and am moving on now. Thanks for the feedback, I don't come on these forums very often.

I figured I'd get the oversensitive and the lighten up comments, no sense of humor comments. Very typical of those who want to have a clean and safe forum. That's fine. I have a great sense of humor, but little tolerance for people who think they are funny by wasting time posting some snide comment instead of addressing the question asked. It would have been just as easy to say "check page 2" or something similar. Someone stated that it is annoying to have re-answer a question (Allan) that has already been addressed in the thread. Well it is also annoying to have you point that out and have to read it. I'm glad that some people saw past all of this and instead addressed my original question, thanks for that. Remember, I didn't start the first jab, Shannon did, and I didn't ask for backlash and additional snide comments, I thought I was bringing up a valid question that was relevant to this forum. I'll know in the future not to post unless I've read all 100+ comments from everyone else on this forum.
Anyway, enough is enough, still looking for a copy of the fixed "Possible Mission" if there is anyone out there who is looking to get rid of one. Thanks much, and my apologies for stirring this pot.

The one issue that keeps getting brought up but doesn't seem to get addressed, is, that people are wondering if and when the Sirius and Plutos games will be converted to 7800 cartridges, for those of us who don't have emulators or CC2 cartridges. I don't like playing games on my CPU, but I do like having all the games for the 7800 to make a complete collection. Can someone shed some light on this, I realize it takes quite a bit of time, a huge expense, and an unbelievable amount of effort in order to make these conversions available to the public. But we still would like to know if this is something that is fathomable, or should we not even think that these games will be released for sale, like for example Missing In Action was back not too long ago. It seems like there is quite a bit of interest here for these games, and if we started here, I would be in for purchasing them. Please reply if you think you would be interested so we can let Atari Age and the developers online know, but also please reply to the original question, if you are here at Atari Age or are one of the developers. Thanks much, keep the protos coming. It's amazing what a little reading can do for ya!!

Thanks for the sarcastic comment, Shannon. I'm sure everyone was "laughing out loud" to your input. Sorry I don't spend days on end reading these forums, let alone all 90+ comments on this thread in particular. Just a simple question, and you have to come back with that crap. Why don't you go read a book, or get laid or something, instead of busting people's balls on a Atari forum. I am a collector on the side, and didn't get to all the posts, I did read a bunch of them to which my question did not get addressed. Sorry that I work 70+ hours a week. Go to bed, Shannon.

Does anyone know what happened to the homebrews Asteroids Deluxe, Pac-Man Collection, & Space Duel in the store? Did they sell out, or get canned due to a stop order from Infogrames? Where'd they go? They were excellent games and made having a 7800 a lot nicer.I own all of these games, and they all work fine and have had no glitches or issues. Al only puts out quality products.
