Xenophobe rocks on the 7800. Controls, graphics, everything is awesome. Never beat it though. Can you actually beat the game on the 7800 version?
-
I like the concept of using original hardware and controllers. I wish all the HSCs were like that, I feel it makes it more authentic.

Bob once again proves that he is the man, and that no one/thing/lifesitch can stop him. You fucking rule.

Great to hear Curt! I wish you all the best in a speedy recovery and hope you are surrounded by lots of love.

H2
in Atari 7800
I'm fucking in.

So let's just start our own high score contest of it right now, right here. Because Failsafe fucking rocks, just like Bob. No HSC going on anyway, let's do it for the real fans. I'll go home after work in a bit and post a shitty score.....
Thanks again Bob - we should just start our own HSC for all of Bob's games, permanently. Separate from the other HSC. DEFUCKINGCRECENZO (probably blew the spelling on that one but hey....)

This is killer. Great work, Gorfcadet. It seems like you are enjoying the production of this project as well, which is nice to hear. It's fun to watch the thing come together. The collaboration between yourself and Groovybee is inspiring.

Thanks CPUWIZ. I did try that 5200 one before, to no avail..... But dammit, what's up with no 7800 Emulator for MAC? Horse Hockey.
-
Stupid question, I've researched it before - but why can't I find a 7800 emulator for Macs that works? And that is easy to download/install, I know, it's probably me.
Any advice would be much appreciated. I have ProSystem on my PC, but I rarely use it and I'd like to check out more stuff. I'm a cartridge kind of guy, but there are so many protos and Groovy's Xmas thing, and what not, that I'd just like to check out quickly on breaks from work. And I work on a Mac.
Sorry for the stupid/ignorant post, I'm just fed up with trying - the last time I tried, I had to run through so much bullshit and it ended up not working.
Help me if you can, and thank you. 5200 and even 2600 would be nice too.
Thanks y'all, and happy holidays.
PS - best wishes to Curt, thanks for what you do brother - and kick that shit's ass, and all my best to PMP as always - he's the fucking man. Groovy - let's hear about these XM games for Christ Sakes.
Friday (thursday83)
BTW - I asked, months ago, as long as I'm at it - check an old post if you wish, for the 5200 ROMS again - I have about 13 on my multicart that don't work.....Allan said he would send me them, didn't hear back - but I'm sure he's got bigger fish to fry then to deal with my begging ass. The ones I have all came from AtariAge - they used to work but stopped......weird......
Alrighty! Thanks again and Happy NYE to all. Sorry for the random triple post in one. Whatever. I rarely say anything.

Hey Bob! Great to hear from you. Genius how you implemented all of these factors into BB.
Hope you are well.

JC78 - how can you like Mat Mania? I own Mat Mania and Mania Challenge - the arcade games, in my house - and Atari's version is horrendous. You can't do any moves! Against the computer that is. And 2 player - all moves are reversed! It's terrible. The players always stand right back up, therefore making the top rope moves useless. And the 2 characters look identical. It's sad - I love wrestling games, and this failed miserably, as did Title Match, which is even worse. I always hoped one of the new programmers would put together a playable wrestling game for the 7800.

Sweet, now the XM is doomed even before it gets shipped out, because of mouthy people on these forums. Now we've lost Curt - the only person into expanding this whole world, and PacManPlus - the best game developer for the 7800 out there, because of d-bags on this forum. Thanks Fernando - public spewing of your complaints gets us all fucked. This is the same thing that gets people on facebook in trouble, etc.....people need to shut up - complaints go a lot further when they aren't aired publicly like dirty laundry.

Why Bob? With the XM looming, we were all really looking forward to seeing what you had in store for that machine! Kind of feel like that purchase just lost half of its value if you aren't going to be programming for it. Darn it.
Well Bob - you were the greatest 7800 programmer of all time. I hope you will consider coming back for just a little bit when you can. A few hours each weekend? Heehee. Bob really took care of me personally over the years - an outstanding gentleman with impeccable service and the best games.
Hope you can comment on the situation, Bob, and all the best to you and yours.

I have a Gauntlet cart.
-
PacManPlus's Space Invaders, Asteroids Deluxe, Space Duel....all feature 2 players at once. You can't beat 2-player Centipede. So fun. All the sports games, Joust, Mario Bros., Double Dragon, Rampage, Xenophobe, Ballblazer, Asteroids, Robotron 2084.....all are great 2 player at once rockers.

Not super psyched, I must say. The shooting is so slow and glitchy, it's hard to play. The movement, as previously stated, is slow and frustrating. The 5200 is all about the gameplay, and unfortunately this one doesn't cut the mustard. I'm a supporter of Mean Hamster/Ziggystar, but this one I'd rather of waited for it to be perfected more before release. Dark Chambers on the 7800 blows this away, they should have just slapped the Gauntlet title on that one back in the day.
Title screen is great, like the music and sound effects, it's too bad the gameplay doesn't live up - smooth movement of your character is key - because I know this was a huge work for these guys and they've always put out quality products in the past. I will continue to support them, but this Gauntlet is not representing the 5200 the way it should.

Not so good, but trying to get back into the habit of HSC.....

I have pics but the site is telling me that they are too big to upload. So, it's probably deadline time and I'm going to bed, then I won't shrink the size of those photos at the moment unless someone requests it, which is laughable. But I will....
Ok, thanks.
Voting for next one now.....
(7800 that is - until the next 5200 one comes out)

Hey Bob. I think people are excited for this release, and rightfully so, as am I. However, it seems that from the beginning that you intended on this being an XM release, and we've all waited so long for that, why not wait until you complete your original concept. I definitely feel for the people who want a normal 7800 release of this game, but I want to see it at its full potential. I will always buy your products, but love to think that you would complete the music the way YOU wanted it, and the way YOUR original thoughts were meant to be played out. However, you might make more money (I know it's not for money....) if you did a normal 7800 release as well. I for one, don't really care for emulation much, I like the real hardware, so I've only played this game briefly in the early stages, I want to be blown away when the cartridge hits the mailbox. This is a tough question, but my vote would be to TOTALLY complete the game, music and all, for the XM, before it's released. But I'll buy whatever you put out whenever regardless, so my vote probably doesn't mean much.
And you are the fucking man.
