  1. Count me in for a cart as usual, Bob. Looks great, obviously. I can't get my controller to work in emulation properly (ProSystem with stelladaptor...this happens in most emulation for me....arrgh....), but from the little first screen I played, I'm sure I will love it on cartridge. Plus, it's Bob. Forget about it. Buy it.

  2. Hi there. I have recently discovered that many of the ROMs on my 128-in-1 Atarimax 5200 USB cartridge are not functioning anymore. I've tried re-loading them (clearing them off, then re-downloading....and loading them back on to the cart.....), and that hasn't worked either. Even into different number slots. Weird thing is that they all used to work. Anyway, a couple of questions here:

    1. Do you feel that these are just bad ROMs and I can re-load them from a different source? The majority of these came from right here at AtariAge. Or do you feel it's an issue with the cartridge? Over 100 of the other ones work fine.

    2. Can people send me these ROMs of theirs if they work on theirs - as I'm not having any luck re-downloading them....?

Here's the list of what ROMs are not working on my Atarimax USB cart, which are the ones I need to reload if possible:

    Sport Goofy

    Frogger 2

    Ballblazer

    Star Wars Arcade

    Choplifter

    Missile Command + Version

    Black Belt

    Return Of The Jedi

    Captain Beeble

    Buried Bucks

    Irata's Quest Demo

    Combat 2 Demo

    Superfly 2000 (unless this isn't a game....)

    Roadrunner

    Popeye

    TimeRun52

Ok, if anyone can send these to me directly or post them on this thread, it would be much appreciated. I can at least give it a shot then.

Any other advice or tutelage - I'm all ears.

    Thank you.

  3. A bit more hassle than it's worth? The XM Project? No review of the 7800 would be complete without featuring the XM project and the upcoming games involving it. And all homebrews, past, present, and future. And hacks. Why not. It's so much more material to work with, and it gives the review a future outlook to maintain interest. Plus, isn't it crucial to be thorough? Or why bother doing a review, when so many have been done in the past. Wouldn't that be stale then?

  4. Woweee. Not to sound like a broken record, but Bob has done it again for the 7800. Just got Scramble (cart) in the mail today, and it's better than you can imagine. It plays great and is fun as hell. I can't believe it. So awesome. Bob - make it a full time job. All of these old arcade translations are spot on awesome. Can't get enough of them. It feels better than any version of this I've ever played, and the controls are perfect. It is genuinely fantastic. Can't wait to play through it, and Bob deserves accolades for releasing another classic.

Everyone should own this on cart, and that pretty much goes for everything he's every put out.

Groovy Bee - when can we start to obtain some of your work on cartridge? Looking forward to all of these releases, and all of the XM stuff too.

Bob - I've said it before, and I'll say it again, you are the man. Really awesome work.

  5. Yeah, what Drac said. Reverse Jump Kick for everyone, and you just use the other moves, like the forward jump kick (from a longer distance) just for fun, to switch it up a bit. Where is the knee lift to the face, and the hip toss throw, and the barrel throw, etc......that was the most disappointing part to me. Punching and kicking are virtually useless, although the head butt seems to work, weirdly enough.....

That said, a total overhaul for the XM would be out of this world. As well as a wrestling game that actually had a goal, and moves, and guys that stay down so you can perform turnbuckle moves, etc.....i.e. a wrestling game that was actually playable/fun. That's my dream for the 7800.

  6. Dude. Bob just crushed it again in case any of you haven't noticed. Moon Cresta is arcade perfect. I am in disbelief of how cool and fun this game is and the ongoing ridiculous awesomeness that Bob continues to put out. This one is as good as his Pac-Man renditions - which are equally awesome - Super Pac-Man, Jr. Pac-Man, and his rendition of Ms. Pac-Man, as well as Failsafe, the list goes on and on. What an accomplishment, this game you just can't put down.

If you own an Atari 7800 - you should by all means get everything put out by PacManPlus - AKA Bob DeCreFuckinscenzo - because it's the best shit on the system, and shows a lot of promise for its' future as well. This game is really great. More arcade converts, Bob, you are 1001% killing it so far.

If you haven't gotten Moon Cresta yet - it's beautiful via cartridge form - do it. Soooo good.

Psyched with this shit, a more real arcade feel than any other system, and Bob knows what's up.

    Hell Yeah.

    Best,
