  1. This means that the gotek is not completely flashed with the firmware. It is looking for an upd file on the usb stick to finish it and didn't found it on the usb stick. You can found the upd files into this archive : http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/HXCFEUSB_HFE_beta_firmware.zip
  2. may help if you post a picture of the hxc lcd screen and of the actual connection. And you should contact me at the hxc forum for faster exchange.
  3. The colored wire of the floppy ribbon should be connected to the right of the drive. Please put a picture of the HxC lcd with a selected HFE to confirm or not the issue.
  4. The 2 drives emulation is working for any machines supporting 2 drives or more. Here is the technical details about the host control : http://hxc2001.com/download/floppy_drive_emulator/SDCard_HxC_Floppy_Emulator_Direct_Access_mode.pdf
  5. Have you see the batch converter window into the software ? Have you see the Linux & Amiga version of the software ? Have you see the various shortcut available into the Amiga file selector ? Have you see that there is HxC emulators with LCD screen ? It seems that you just take the longest way possible here
  6. Just add something like this on the ST floppy cable : http://www.newark.com/te-connectivity-amp/2-111446-2/wire-board-connector-plug-34pos/dp/42K6780?in_merch=Popular%20Products With this you can add any standard floppy cable to extend the original one.

  16. So, I think I'll hold out a bit and let you early adopters work out the issues/expand the features. Then you can sell me yours for twice what you paid on 'e-bait'. :-) desiv Sorry but this cannot be changed, and the Amiga is not the main target computer of this emulator... Ok, but what's this: (OK, I saw that there is some additional hardware needed for that as well..) That's just adding awesome to an already awesome product!!!! Very NICE!!!!! desiv Yes a small hardware mod is needed for this (of course this one will be include in the next pcb revision ). There are already some users feedback : A real floppy disk copied to the sdcard file image :-) :
  17. In fact the menu selector software (working on a 512k ST) was compiled with GCC : http://vincent.riviere.free.fr/soft/m68k-atari-mint/ So i think that there no problem to do this for the converter software
  18. Yes you can: Take the sources : http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/HxCFloppyEmulator_soft.zip rebuild them for Atari ST (with GCC for Atari ST, for example : http://vincent.riviere.free.fr/soft/m68k-atari-mint/). Someone has already do this for Amiga. About the file size: You can create a floppy image of 4.23MB for ST with the tool
  19. There are a little surprise : The SD HxC Floppy Emulator can be see as an hard disk with the proper HardDisk driver . The Menu selector software used this feature to access the FAT32 partition of the SDCard. So the SD HxC FLoppy Emulator as an hard disk is possible. Some technical informations about this feature: http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/SDCard%20HxC%20Floppy%20Emulator%20Direct%20Access%20mode.pdf Of course the drawback vs the UltraSatan is the interface speed.
  20. Yes (command line tool) : http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/HxC_Floppy_Emulator_soft_src.zip cd linux make hxcfloppyemulator_convert
  21. Yes the board is able to emulate both A & B drives at the same time. Please carefully read the user manual for the jumper setting : http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/SDCard_HxC_Floppy_Emulator_User_Manual.pdf
  22. Firmware update ! V1.1.2.4 : http://hxc2001.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/SDCard_HxCFloppyEmulator_firmware.zip
  23. >Moving ST programs into disk images - easiest way? With the HxC Floppy Emulator software : -> Create a folder on the pc and put your ST files in it. -> Start the HxC Floppy Emulator software -> Push the button "Create FS Floppy" -> Choose "720KB Atari FAT12" or "902KB Atari FAT12" or "4.23MB Atari FAT12" -> Push the button "Inject directory" and choose your folder containing your ST files. -> Now push the button export to create the HFE file. (you can change the type file to IMG to create a ST file if you want). Regarding the overwrite problem, try to upgrade your firmware first if not already done.
