  8. It's only a Floppy Emulator! Don't sacrifice your sleep time for this ! (I think you should reduce the ebay batch size or increase the deliver time...) And to you too ! Having the possibility to build and deliver this thing is very important ! Without your hard (and crazy? ) work this board still a Do-It-Yourself project.
  9. Looks very nice. Can multi disc games be run from this menu? Yes. actually there are 10 "slots". each slot is a couple of floppy (A: and B:)

  16. ... Maybe someone will figure out a way to have the Amiga not have to write a full track at a time??? ... yes , if you write a new driver able to write in ISO MFM, this should works...
  17. Yep, and the PC floppy drive will never be able to read an Amiga format floppy... :-) If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen; but I've seen too many "never's" happen in retro. desiv Sorry but the problem is mathematical : Amiga Write = 12500 byte once (a full track each time), PIC ram =3900 bytes 12500-3900=8600bytes missing in this emulator to support amiga write...
  18. So, I think I'll hold out a bit and let you early adopters work out the issues/expand the features. Then you can sell me yours for twice what you paid on 'e-bait'. :-) desiv Sorry but this cannot be changed, and the Amiga is not the main target computer of this emulator...
  19. So i will post the "official" announcement : !!!! SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator Preordering open !!!! 21. Please ask this on the right forum : http://www.torlus.com/floppy/forum/index.php
  22. The HxC floppy emulator supports pasti format but is unstable/alpha state. Maybe he (Jeff) can help you. He also reads the HxC Floppy Emulator forum. Robert Yes this unstable because i had to make some reverse engineering of the stx format. Additionally this file format isn't very suitable to recreate a physical floppy track: Data in the file are from the WD1772 point of view. There are raw sectors data in the file (like *.ST ) read with the "READ SECTOR" fdc command, and the full track datas read with the "READ TRACK" fdc command. Unfortunately the "READ TRACK" command doesn't return the true content of the physical track (some bits skipped, changed randomly, "sync missing clocks" not in the track).
  23. The SDCard HxC Floppy Emulator too, and it is less expensive (something about 30-40euros without the lcd).

  25. "no development" ? : The HxC Floppy Emulator: http://jeanfrancoisdelnero.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/index.html http://jeanfrancoisdelnero.free.fr/floppy_drive_emulator/pictures/index.html http://www.instructables.com/id/Emulador-de-Drive-Montagem/ The Semi-Virtual Diskette: http://www.thesvd.com/SVD/ C64 1541 III: http://jderogee.tripod.com/project1541.htm C64 1541 Ultimate http://www.1541ultimate.net/content/index.php Amiga Floppy Emulator "MegaDrive": http://www.sensi.org/~tnt23/megadrive/ SDiskEmul : http://atariamiga.free.fr/sdiskemul.php The TFE floppy emulator: http://retromaster.wordpress.com/tfe/ All these projects have the same aim : have a solution to replace the dying/unreliable floppy disk drive/floppy disk couple. I was talking about ATARI ST not other platforms. The Atari ST series uses PC format 720k disks so it is extremely easy to move/copy files over from a PC. Amiga disks on the other hand are extremely hard to do this with! The HxC, SDiskEmul, TFE and MegaDrive floppy emulators support the Atari ST
