i'm reading the book 'Atari graphics and arcade game design' at atariarchives.com and i'm at the chapter were they start with some assembly things. They use SYNASSEMBLER. they say type in: 4000: A9 30 8D 00 41 CE 00 41 AD 00 41 C9 00 D0 F6 60 [CR] If you enter a 4000L from the Synassembler monitor you will see the following: 4000: A9 30 00030 LDA #$30 4002: 8D 00 41 00040 STA $4100 4005: CE 00 41 00050 DEC $4100 4008: AD 00 41 00060 LDA $4100 400B: C9 00 00070 CMP #$00 400D: DO F6 00080 BNE $4005 400F: 60 00090 RTS but i can't get the listing.... The answers is.....No you can't use a 1541 as a 1050. the easiest way is to use sio2pc, and if you can solder you can make one by yourself thelen

What are the differences between the 65xe and 800xe ? and between the 800 xl ? the 800xl's have the best picture quality i think, the xe's have (mine) little vertical stripes in the picture also when using video output. Thelen

I try to collect them - if I can get them in box - have also some sealed titles. but i only have +/- 25 titles and 19 in box. it's a real problem if you live in holland, there are only the most common titles. Thelen

I was reading De Re Atari, about character graphics in antic mode 4 and 5, and they wrote space invaders have character graphics. What games have this also ? Thelen

the laser could have gone bad. the first thing a cd-player does is when the door is closed is to check if there's a cd (by the laser). if there is, the cd will begin to spin, if not it won't. but there could be more problems, try cleaning the lens. Thelen

I think we should give those guys a chance. they are trying to do something good. but i think you guys should start learning to program. you could first try to program a game on an atari 8 bit computer in basic. or make a qbasic game on the pc with atari graphics. that will give you some program feeling... ik verzamel eigenlijk van alles van atari. 2600/7800 spellen. xl/xe computers/spellen/randapparatuur. en atari jaguar. en atari st. ik heb niet echt byzondere dingen, een x-men cart en een atari 260 st. als ik iets tegenkom/zie en het is betaalbaar dan koop ik het.ik heb geen dingen die ik MOET hebben. voor de rest heb ik colecovision,videopac7400/7000,vectrex,nes,snes,sega dingen die ik ook een klein beetje verzamel. yes, too less money..i bought the jaguar with cybermorph and 11 games !!! all new- i should have bought more titles (when bought them they were about 39.99/29.99 gulden) . next week i espect ATARI KARTS - from ebay for E5 (didn't know if you noticed). what do you think is a reasonobile price for a jagCD ? thelen

when a game is buyed new the memmory is loaded with factory default settings, i should think that the sound should be on a normal level. perhaps the factory didn't. It were great times at Intertoys at 96/97 ! Thelen

you could seach the internet for a tutorial 6502 programming, and then look for the atari 2600 memory map. look for the right color register to change. thelen

why is it that the atari portfolio has an qwertz keyboard, they swpped the y and z ? yesterday i got one, and i thought wtf have they swapped the y and z ? i should correct it.... thelen

I think it's the cart slot for sure, when you're saying it won't always make contact, and you have to push it...you can look if the cart slot is soldered well on the main print (look for bad solder points) , or solder in a new slot (i wouldn't recommend that ) Thelen
