btw if it's for cheap I really should buy it, and some of them have a parallel port (or serial) so you can download rom files to it and play them on REAL hardware.

that thing what you have seen is a thing to dump cartridges to floppy disks, and it can load from floppy disks games to that device, so you can play games from floppy on the nintendo. i don't know the name of it anymore, and there are models for nes, snes, genesis.

you did use a inverter for CE ? reading your programmed 2532 out is a playable binary file on the emulator..?
i never programmed/used a 2532, but i thougt that this one didn't need a modification on the pcb (standart 4kb) , only a inverter (am i wrong ?)

i was wondering, is there something for the commodore 64 like sio2pc ? i've seen some things but not software with a serial cable that emulates a diskdrive like sio2pc.

I want to start with a little bit programming on the atari 8 bit. i know 6502, and was looking at the atariarchives.com in a book - arcade graphics and game design. now i want to compile the breakout game :
http://www.atariarchives.org/agagd/display...pter4/BREAKOT.S
how can i do this, and how can i get it running on e.g. atari800win ?
i am also looking for little examples to put text on the screen player missile, line drawing...

one of my favorite games is millipede/centipede. i've played centipede on a 7800 in 2player mode, simaltanous playing !. now is there some sort of centipede game on the 8-bit with simaltanous playing ?
thanks,thelen

i would pick up the texas instruments computer, especially since it's boxed. not it's rare but i collect old game/home computers which are boxed. yes it depends on the $. not that a ti is so much fun as an atari, but i'm searching for a cheap one.
and the commodore games can be fun if they are cheap too.

i never used a cd/dvd cleaner, but you can try it, it's not made to hurt a system( hope it will work right in a dc)

you could try to clean the lens of the laser with a q-tip. be very careful, it's very harmful.

diskdrive transfer speed
in Hardware
Posted
this isn't really atari related, but i was hoping someone could help me.
I cannot find any information about the serial transfer speed of a normal 3.5 inch diskette drive. I mean direct from the diskdrive is a Dout, and a Din, what's the serial speed to and from the drive..?
Thanks,
Thelen
