i can buy a atari mega 1 st computer, but it's without a monitor. i don't know which monitor i could connect to it. Can i connect a regular atari st sm1224 monitor to it? if not what type of connector is on it ?
thanks, thelen

yes the 260st certainly exist. only 130st's were not saled, but were for demonstrations.
the 520 st boot disk tos 1.0 doesn't work on a 260 st..althoug it works on an 1040 st.

yes replacing the bootrom with tos is a good idea, but i don't need the 260st that much, i have 2 atari 1040st's but i thought it would be fun if the 260st could do something.
i searched the net, but i could only find a boot disk image for the 520st, will this also work on the 260 ? (i will test it)
thanks,
Thelen

today i've tested my 260st, which i had bought about 2 years ago on a fleamarket, and now it is saying to me: put the system disk into you disk drive. now i want a system disk...
does somebody know a system disk on the net ? or does someone have an image of the disk and wants to mail it to me ?
are there any games/programs for it ?
thanks, thelen

ummm...modified atari xe's ???? or just with tape on it ?? strange. don't know, but these are not 800xe's. an 800 xe looks just the same as a 65 xe.

what's a regular price for a compumate ??

i don't think that would be possible, because the games are remakes of the original games, so no original atari 2600 rom could be used..
will this also be released in europe ? don't think it will

hi,
i was trying your 5200bas compiler, but i don't know how to compile the assembler outputfile with Tasm...
great that the commands are like gw-basic..when i was younger i programmed a lot with it, and later with qbasic. Great program !!

if you can get a 7404(6 x inverter) and a 7402 (4 x nor) you can do this. the 7432 is a OR ic , the 7402 is a NOR ic, that the iverted or, so with a inverter you can make the NOR an OR....

the black sony playstation is called the NET YAROZE,you can link it to the pc. i did heard of it once, never seen it for real or did something with it.

no the black model vcs is not special, you can't write games on it..yes you could write a game for it...but not with it (only with a magicard). for the black model of the sony playstation 1 you can write games.

since a few days i've got a msx2 philips 8220 computer.now i get stuck with one problem..how can i acces the cartridge slot in basic..i want to see what byte is on what adress on the cartridge. like looking on a memory adress : print peek (4096) for instance....
hope someone would know, or maybe someone would know a msx site where i could be.
thanks,Thelen

i thinks a know enough--the basics, i've tried some thing on the atari 2600, i could get my name on the screen, and controll it with a joystick....but the atari 2600 is far too difficult...

i want to start programming on the atari 8 bit's too, in assembler but don't know where to start. i've read mapping the atari, but i'm looking for some little examples, and a text with all the registers and adresses...

look if all the cartridge connector pins are on a straight line. have you opened your jaguar ?, if you have could you tell me the name of ic U38, it's right on the bottom before the pcb goes to the left. i need to now the number (i can't read it anymore)
thanks,Thelen
-
yes it's a bit strange....you could try to clean the cartridge connector on the jaguar.

that's a pretty neat development system.. i had never heard of it. i think i'm going to try that. but first i will need a cartridge..and putting the bios binary on a eprom. i might concider of putting a sram inside the 7800 instead of a cart.
thanks for the info guys
thelen

i thought the max adress for a cart was 32Kb(2^15)- 15 adress lines and a12 as ce, or is this not for the 7800 mode. can i find information about the bankswitching used ?- do most of the games from the same size use different bankswitching ?

yesterday i bought my first atari 7800 !!!, without adapter or games, but when i tested it it had asteroids build in, apsolutely great !!! now i've downloaded a emulator and roms to look at the games..those games look great. but i wass wondering why have the roms such strange values : galaga 32896 byte,dk 49280 byte, these roms are not 2^... size(2^15=32768 byte) why ??

Theme Park HELP!!!! NO SOUND!!!!!!
in Atari Jaguar

weird, really don't know how that can. you could clean the cartridge connections, but i think that is not the problem...the sound used to work ?, or did you buy the cart lately.
