    I don't see this as an issue. IF the MP is any good, most people will play that far longer than any campaign. That's just the way it is, more fun to play with smart human/friends than dumb AI that's basically gauntlet

    Your DVD drive could be dying. My Elite had the same problem with the DVD drive not being able to read certain games, etc. Then it starts to make this horrible whining noise and then died altogether.

    Agreed! COD4 is another FPS, but it feels very intense, the maps are fun and the whole package is just superb. If you are burntout on FPS, I don't know why you would get it in the first place just so you can complain that it is another FPS?

    Space Giraffe has some of the best achievements design. Most of them are worthy of being called achievements (a few gimmes) and some even teach you some new tricks in playing the game.

    MP is awesome, I like it better than Halo 3. Lots of maps and they are fun (unlike alot of the H3 maps, which might be good in theory but sucks in practice). Love the career progression and NO ONLINE ACHIEVEMENTS!! Great game. Get it now!

    Fair enough. I am loving it though. The gameplay is as tight as ever. I like the new character(s), especially El Blaze. The graphics look great (even though the some of the older fighters look really creepy now, like Lau/Shun). I haven't tried online yet, but I read that it is relatively smooth. It is a great fighter if anyone is interested, and only $39.99 this week at CC.

    No topic on this?? Great game. Just picked it up at CC for $39.99. Going to try the online with friends later.... now if only I have a nice stick.

    The sword (decorative) is based on Halo's achievement scores only. You have to get the full 1000 points in Halo 3 to unlock it. Some of the achievements are absolutely retarded in difficulty unless you get a group of rank (random) people to do.

    Isn't the 80gig model only has software emulation of PS2 titles? With the new model doing away BC completely, I doubt Sony would even update the software emu. You should have bought the 60 gig model, and it is getting harder to find.

    It is kinda like the old LoTR movie games. Pure hack and slash gameplay with a few stages on the dragon. Not bad but don't expect too much.

    I have not played the XBLA version, only the PSP version. The dev has said that the computer does not cheat. At first, I felt the same way but then I start to play defensively, you gotta plan 1 move ahead of time. I.E. you have to see what the repercussion of each move. I would not do any move that will give the CPU a 4/5 in a row. After that, it was a piece of cake (with the right equipmen, the CPU really has no chance).

    Holy shit! You own a 65 foot HDTV?!?!?! What you don't own a barn to see movies in? Actually I own a 46" HDTV and feel the same way. In addition I get to have an adult beverage of my choice and nobody around me talking during the movie! True true true, but the phone still rings.

    If you have a PS3, just get this game. It is a mix of Geometry Wars and Rez (and Lumines). Each stage has different ways to combo for good scores. An addictive twin stick shooter with some catchy tunes and it is no push over either. My high score is 2300 or so (made it to stage 4). My only negatives are: online leaderboard is missing and only 8-way shooting instead of true 360 degrees.

    Read up on how characters progress in Oblivion. You actually don't want to level up too fast. It is more important to increas your skills than level up as it also level up your enemies.

    If you like shmup or a 2D take on Virtual On, you might like this. It is fun, but very niche.
