Perhaps I should go search the town to south for more infortmation about... Too much work! Hulk Angry! Hulk Smash down wizards door!" Tempest [ 06-10-2002: Message edited by: Tempest ] There was a text adventure staring the Hulk, for the old 8-bit computers. It was called Questprobe #1: The Hulk. I have never played it so I dont know if its any good. But I found a link to a page where you could actually play the game, and some other old Scott Adams adventure games. Could be fun, if you feel like droping the joysticks for a moment Scott Adams classis adventures

Oh never mind. I got both up and running now. It was ju the conectors that needed some cleaning. The Lost Luggage one was really clogged up

I got Pitfall II and Lost Luggage today in the mail. Thanks Snider-man, you are the greatest! But I can't get either to run on my 4-switch(PAL). I just get black picture, and occasionally vertical lines with the Pitfall II cart. There is no sync problem, my TV should be able to handle 60HZ. It does so with composite input anyway.

I gotta taka a shot at this... It wouldn't be "Space Invaders" by any chance?

Very nice! I especially like the "Empire strikes back", nice colours. A new art form has been born, not cubism but pixelism I have been thinking about making Atari art myself for some time now. But so far I haven't come up with any ideas that I like. But I am working on it ...

I was just out on a similar mission today in my hometown. And guess what... found nothing as usual. Well apart from one place, with a bunch of Sega Master carts, C64 tapes and some unknown carts. But they have been there for months now. And they keep mocking me, so tomorrow I am going to go there and buy them!! So I don't have to see them again Anyway, good luck to you Zero ...

Two games were made for it, but the robot was quickly removed from stores when it was learned that little girls had more fun with R.O.B. than anyone else . Ahh... I see, it was obviously a very well equiped robot

Ben 1.3 Amps... Yikes! Plenty of power for a games console. Maybe Nintendo had plans on making a really serious forcefeedback controller .. The dual BBQ shock 2010

When I saw your label General Atarian, I just got curious about how it would look stuck to a cartridge. And since I had some spare time to kill, I decided to add a third dimension to your label. Hope you don't mind. BTW what's the font called you used? [ 06-04-2002: Message edited by: Han ]

So Jun, do you speak any swedish? Yeah Kale, I also have the feeling that we haven't seen the Brill for the last time... DUM dum DUM dum DUM ...

I wish I could do some football gloating, but you Swedish lucked out Yupp, I was around during the 80's... man I am getting old or what!?! Do all the gloating you want, I am not really interested in football Ok, I will come back and bug Jun after her exams . [ 06-02-2002: Message edited by: Han ] [ 06-02-2002: Message edited by: Han ]

"Sniderman is the greatest" I live in sweden, so p&p is probably expensive. I understand if you dont want to to send it to me... but I had to try

And I will brush up on my american accent or just stick to speaking swedish About our brill fish. I had a look around the web and actually found a picture of the little critter ... hava a look.

Well, my intention was not to describe this forum as being fishy . As far as I know the word is a Brittish short for "brilliant". But I can't remeber where I picked it up... Now can we all go back to taling about Atari stuff
-
That's actually a very useful piece of information Skatepunk60. Since I have really grown fond of my nuts . Dare I ask what "brill" means in America?

I can't see any reason why your shiny new Trinitron shouldn't be able to accept the RF signal from your Atari. I assume that both the Atari game and the TV have the same TV system (PAL, NTSC, SECAM..)? One trick you can try is to hook up your Atari to your VHS using the RF in. You will have to remove the tv cable, but who wants to watch tv when you can mess with your Atari instead This way you can also get the sound separated from the video signal, assuming you have audio out from your VHS. Just connect it to your amplifier and pump up the volume....

Dooooh ... CX40 is indeed the original joystick I never knew they had a name, hey now I like them even better Well, in that case Atarinvader I wouldnt say no to a joystick, if youre still interested in giving me one. BTW Brill --> Brilliant ...
-
Thanks for the offer atarinvader! But I am looking for the original joysticks. I want my old system back in it's original state. So I can just sit and look at it and of course play some Asteroids. BTW call me crazy but I still think that the 2600 version of Asteroids is better than the arcade version. But that's probably just because I played the 2600 version before the arcade one.

Thanks people, for making me feel welcome! And thank you Cassidy for wanting to donate a stick to me. Anyone else feeling generous? just give me a shout . Concerning flea markets, another subject I would like to talk about. It seems that it is fairly easy locating used Atari stuff in the USA, right? However in Sweden, where I live, it's quite hard. I have found very few used Atari items, but I keep running into used Sega and Nintendo stuff all the time. But Sweden is fairly small, that might be the problem I supose. I will have a look at EBay. Now why didn't I think of that ... Cheers

Hello all After stumbling across this brill forum I just had to dig out my old Atari 2600 from the depths of my closet. And it still worked like a dream. Unfortunately the joysticks are long gone. So I am wondering in anyone here knows where I can buy some used/new original 2600 joysticks? A place that ships to europe... Thanks
