  1. My first was a Mark III, check out the pix ... And yes this is the actual system I owned..
  2. Thx for you reply classics... I think I have a 9V 1A AC somewhere...
  3. I just visited a flea market faaar out on the countryside, in an old barn. Not much of interest there, I found a MS mouse. But just as I was leaving, I glanced into an old dusty chest. And some colours caught my eye and after clearing out some debris I was looking at a boxed Atari 600XL and a boxed 1010 tape recorder. I got them for $4 , including the MS mouse ... It was in pretty good shape, but the boxes where a bit beat up and smelled rather funky. Pretty much the only thing that was missing was the PSU for the 1010 recorder. Does anyone here know the PSU specs? And what polarity it wants?
  4. When I was playing through Doom 2 on the Ultra-violence level, I was having some problems with level 30. About a zillion monsters was out to get me. Just when I was firing the last rocket at the boss a monster killed me. And just as I fell down, I saw the last rocket explode right in the head of the boss. I was just about to say something nasty, when I saw the "you have completed the game" text appear on the screen. I had actually completed the game even if I was dead.
  5. Cool... .. and yes I think you are super nuts on video games
  6. oh and of course... Sega Mega Drive I & II ...
  7. Hmm... let me think... International Pong Mark III Atari 2600 Lynx NES SNES PS1 PS2 GP32 ... thats it... I think...
  8. Here's what I have: Vic 20 C64 Atari ST Amiga 600 ZX Spectrum
  9. Bummer about the battery... strange... Maybe it was a bad battery, unlikely as it may be... or maybe a short circuit somewhere on the circuit board... I dunno... I wasn't being to serious about the "how good you are with a soldering iron", and I certainly wasn't questioning your soldering skills Raijin Z . Hell, pretty much the only good thing I learned in electronics class was to solder ... But my point is if you have the components around; a RCA cord and a 5 pin DIN connector. You can solder a cable fairly quickly.
  10. Depends on how good you are with a soldering iron ..
  11. I found this funky looking video game on a local flea market for $1. Couldn't resist buying it ... I runs on a 9V battery and it's still working. It has got 6 different games, including two light gun games. Unfortunately I couldn't find the light gun... I wonder if it was supplied with the console?
  12. You can make a cable yourself, it's not that hard... as long as you have a soldering iron. You can use a standard 5-pin DIN connector.
  13. An update about my red screen problem. I recently bought another Mega Drive I. And to my surprise the Sonic cart worked with this new console!? But it has refused to work on my old MD I AND MD II ... odd Maybe something wrong with the pin connectors, but all the other games I have tried works with my older Mega Drives...
  14. According to both Moby Games and The Legacy, it was; http://www.mobygames.com/game/sheet/p,24/gameId,7288/ http://www.thelegacy.de/Museum/4768/ I will see if I can find a copy. I am curious how the ST versions looks... The Amiga version was like that too. The first time I saw it, I thought it looked like a PD game. I seem to recall one screen with a figure or a person's face that looked like it was just pasted over a blank background. After seeing Defender of the Crown, Three Stooges and such, King of Chicago looked really primitive. Ah ok, maybe it was supposed to look like that ... But I never saw it for sale for the ST... I doubt it was ever released. I saw a picture of it in a magazine, but that could have been a missprint. Yupp, I agree. It's really a cool game. My only complaint is that it's really slow... the disk access is painful
  15. Just out of the 14 classic Cinemaware games, only 5 were released for ST (Defender of the Crown, S.D.I., Rocket Ranger, Sinbad and the Throne of the Falcon and Lords of the Rising Son), of which, the first three can be downloaded from the Cinemaware site. The only game for Amiga that isn't available from the site is Three Stooges, most likely because of copyright issues with the stooges' families. Was Lord of the Rising Sun really release for the ST!? Cool! And you might have to add King of Chicago to the list of Cinemaware ST games. I had a copy of it, but I don't know if it was ever officially released... It had an unfinished feel to it…

    Screen scratches.

That's exactly the same product I saw in my local store. Hmm... so it works, excellent Maybe I should give it a try ...

    Screen scratches.

I have been thinking about that myself. I have seen in a local store that they are selling display polish for mobile phones. That should work on a Lynx to I suppose. But I haven't tried it yet..
  18. A positive note about EQ: I got my security bit driver and bits today; finally I can open up those miserable NES/SNES games and consoles. Fast delivery and no problems. The bit driver was actually of a higher quality than I expected. Thx Sylentwulf and EQ
  19. So Eric how's it going with your Vectrex? Have you been able to cure it?
  20. Open up your Genesis so you can get to the bottom side of the circuit board. You need to remove the metal shielding and a bunch of screws. Now check the solder points on the power connector, where you plug in the power cord. These are the solder points you probably need to resolder. Or you could also be having a problem with your power cord.
  21. Well.. it's a very exclusive handheld
  22. Yupp... cool artwork. I bought many a games based on the cover ... I would like to know to who made some of these covers...
