I think the majority of us can't get the time off work or the money together to go to multiple shows. AGE is an opportunity for those of us that live in the south and can't make it to the other shows to participate in a gaming expo, it's not meant to make people choose between CGE and AGE. CGE could be considered in the south, but seeing as how it takes a full day just to get out of Texas, it's still not practical for some of us.

Maybe they can cut us a deal on wristbands to SXSW

Has anyone bought this game and played it? Do you recommend it?

There aren't alot of games on the Jag that would be thought of as "girly" games. In fact, I don't really think there are any. Just because it's a sports game or fighting/shooting, etc doesn't mean that girls don't like to play it either though.

I was finally able to find a store this weekend that had a few SP's. It looks to be a great handheld, but right now it's a little unfortable. The buttons seem awful close together and the gameplay in awkward (for me). I'm sure I'll get used to it though

I like to play the Jaguar. It's probably my favorite Atari system. There's quite a few games for the Jag that interest me, my favorite being Raiden, I'm hopelessly addicted to that game. Remember, just because we're girls doesn't mean we only play girly games

We were going to pick this up last weekend and the only place we saw it was Best Buy and yes, they were $39.99 WTF?!

Let's not hijack this thread into that subject, you can PM me or start a topic in Marketplace about how bad of a "trader" I am, but this is not the thread for that. I'm not trying to offend you or start taking low blows at each other. If it gets to the point where I need to sugarcoat everything I say so that nobody gets upset, then it won't be worth coming here anymore.

I think Troy should apologize whenever MegaManFan apologizes for saying "Just when I started liking you" (What, he posts an opinion and it's not the same as yours, so now you dont?) and then trying to cause trouble by pointing out that he used to be theaveng and is known for causing trouble (even though he made an entire thread to let everyone know this himself) and when AngusJake apologizes for the reference he made of the poster being ignorant and uninformed. Don't misunderstand me, I don't particularly care for this fella, but I've never seen so many people upset over what he said in that thread. So he doesn't like a game system that you do like, why in the hell are you people getting so upset over it? He didn't diss your mom, your wife, your dog, you...he dissed a console that he doesn't care for. Sure, you need to be tactful to a certain extent on a message board, but I don't think he was necessarily untactful in what he said. If you get your feelings hurt over someone saying something you like sucks, then you should probably just hide in your closet, cause you won't survive in the real world. He didn't say, "hey so and so, that 5200 you like sucks! You must be ignorant if you like the 5200". That's an insult. The next argument will be that he always starts threads to get people riled up. They turn into Spam threads. That would mean that everyone that contributed to the thread is encouraging this type of behavior. I remember reading some posts from this person and he's obviously very opinionated, I'm not willing to read through all of his posts. I know he can cause trouble sometimes, but so can others of US. it seems to be ok when some people do these things, ya know..the people that sit online 2/3 of the day and post away..the ones that everyone likes. They can post all the spam they want and they can try to cause as much trouble as they want, but others cant. I think by some of your replies throughout the countless threads he's started, it's encouraged him to be much more obnoxious. People tend to become defensive when they are personally attacked (please do not confuse this with "the 5200 sucks!" thread, unless you yourself are an Atari 5200, this should not be a personal insult and is not what I'm referring to). If you don't like what he has to say, put him on ignore. It's that simple. Replying to him with belittling statements makes you no better.

Back to the steak thing...Tx Land & Cattle, IMO, has the best steaks. The closest one to the AGE site is about 15 minutes away. If there's enough interest, we could do it Friday night and I can call and make a reservation (cause it's a bitch to get in there on Friday/Saturday nights). How many people are up for Friday night at the Steakhouse? There is an Outback steakhouse very close to AGE, but you guys probably have those where you live.

Maybe Albert should delete the ignore function from the forums, apparently it's too difficult for some of you to figure out.

I've never seen this console in action, never seen any of the games played, so I have no idea if this sucks or not. What's the difference between the GoldStar and the FZ-1?

BTW, Curt has agreed to come to the show wearing only a cowboy hat too, so if they aren't already, I think he and Joe should get free tables.

Those of you that are coming in for the show, are you showing up the day of the expo (Saturday) or are you coming Friday? Maybe we can have an AA gathering for those coming early?

Sorry, but once someone puts out a handheld that will actually compete with the GB, Nintendo might want to start worrying. Sure they have money in the bank..but GC sales are going down, retailers are clearing out their stock to stop carrying them, if anything happens to the GB, it won't look good. Give it a few years.
