    I guess it really is a good deal. The GC systems by themselves would run you about $15k...and you're getting all those games, accessories and screens to go along with it. Guess the store is not going to be selling GC's anymore.

    That last thread you posted is the one I was referring to in my post. It was taken (by you) to mean I was picking you out, which in fact it was geared towards a # of people. In fact, that link was taken off an XBox forum in which alot of people that support the XBox took it lightheartedly and some even laughed.

     

    I don't think that there's anything wrong with supporting the XBox. Like I said earlier in this post, my plans are to get one myself. My point is that when you egg on people the way you have in this thread, you can't turn around and wonder why people don't take you seriously or join you in your XBox conversations. In fact after the huge spectacle that was made out of that last thread you've posted here, I've stayed far away from these topics so as not to create any commotion. My only comments here were to try to get everyone to calm down and realize that we should all just repsect each other's opinions on game consoles (something I learned from YOU after the last time). Just seems a little hypocritical to do what I was condemned for doing :? And sorry if it got under my skin that I was said to have "as usual taken everything out of context to be what I want it to be" even though apparently it was a joke.

     

    I'll once again ban myself from these threads for a while. That is at least until I get my XBox and start an XBox rules thread myself. :D

    Uh, yeah I'm serious. I've never had the desire to change my screen name, so I don't know how it's done. I just figured all of these people PM'd Albert to have him change it so they could keep their post count. But now you guys say it's too easy, so what exactly do you do?

    Loyalty is commendable, blind loyalty that's another story..

     

    I tried being really nice throughout this thread, but you can't expect people not to get upset and tempers to flare when they're repeatedly getting made fun of.

     

    I have no problem with what any of you SAID, but don't be hypocritical and don't play dumb and act like you have no idea why tempers flared throughout this thread. You're smarter than that.

    Here's a question... Why is no one talking about Conkers Live and Uncut?

    Could it be because it's coming to the Xbox?

    A little honesty please.

     

    Conkers will be a big hit because it's a classic that everybody likes. The graphics and gameplay definitely look like they'll be much better on this new version. I think a general concern of most XBox users that I've talked to about it is that Rare might be rushing too much to put this game on the shelves.

     

    No less, it will be an instant hit and probably one I'll buy.

    Ok, I lied..I'm back.

     

    I have yet to see one Xbox fan jump in some sort of Nintendo or PS2 thread and start getting all pissy about the systems or games.

     

    This thread was started by someone who was saying how impressed THEY were with what Nintendo was doing at E3. Yet somehow it was hijacked into a "Why does everyone hate the XBox, it's my favorite toy in the world" thread. It's really funny that you should should say what you just did :? :? :?

     

    What I don't understand is that nobody here has denied that the XBox is a good system. It has some good games out for it, and yes, it can do more than the GC or PS2. But, not everyone wants one. In fact, Starscream had me talked into getting one, but if it's going to make me go crazy like some of you have in this thread, then forget it.

     

    Point is (again) Not everyone will like the console or the games that you like. We should be able to have a decent conversation about all of the consoles and their pros/cons without laughing at one other and belittling each other.

     

    Why is this thread even still open? If people are getting pissy to where they're making direct attacks and personal insults, it should be closed.

    The thing is it is so obvious that so many people on here insult the XBox and the people here who support it for the simple fact that they hate Microsoft and Bill Gates. (Now that's mature.) They can say all they want that there aren't any games on the system that impress them or that they want to play but that is just "begging the question" (Thank You INKY!  :D  ).

     

    I don't necessarily think it's immature. Personally, I don't like MS as a company. It's kind of like Ford, I've never been impressed with Ford no matter what they put out. I think they have crappy products, so I don't buy them. Every year when they come out with a new model Ford, I don't give them a second glance because I simply do not like the company. I also don't like KMart. I despise Kmart. If they come out with something that I can't get anywhere else, I just won't get it.

     

    Maybe, just maybe people have different opinions on games and they're really telling the truth when they say they don't like the game selection.

     

    You, and you know who you are, won't even give the system a chance because of your attitude.  

    MS is bad, MS makes Xbox, therefore Xbox is bad.

     

    Who said the XBox is bad? Nobody that I can tell. They're simply saying they don't want one, doesn't mean it's bad. I think it's sales numbers and obvious fan base prove it's not a bad system.

     

    Neither current system can hold a candle to the power and versatility of the Xbox. I think the term "owns" is very apropros. And before anyone says it's not being utilized, take a good hard look at the games out there. Do I see Steel Battalion on any of the other systems or PC? Why was Splinter Cell dumbed down for the PS2 and GC? Why did ID say the Xbox is the only system capable of delivering Doom 3 in it's current state? By maintaining blind brand loyalty, and limiting yourself because of bias,  YOUR the one missing advanced gaming options. If your satisfied great. I however expect more, because I'm worth it.

     

    I see you doing the exact thing you're accusing others of doing. "Maintaining blind brand loyalty"...huh!? Me, personally, I don't mind waiting for games to come out for the GC or PS2 after the XBox users are done with them, I'm used to it, I'm a Mac user after all. :)

     

    Guys, this console war is useless, all of these things have been rehashed a million times. Some people like the XB, some like the GC, some like the PS2. And when one says something good about a system, the others will come to argue their points. They're really no need to get so upset over these things.

    Is there a 2 planned? I haven't heard anything. Maxis has gotten so much money on this damn game and all the expansion packs from me..I've bought every single one twice (for Mac & Pc).

     

    Has anyone played SimCity4? That game frustrates me too...much more difficult than SimCity3000.

    Doesn't matter whether it's a proto or not. What's in question here is the act of selling something to a private seller that you have up for auction and people here do it all of time.

    Funny thing is..there's quite a few people here on AA who email sellers all of the time offering them money on the side to just cancel the auction and sell the item to them and no one sees anything wrong with it..of course most of them aren't saying anything on this topic :ponder:

    Good Lord. We have all the systems in our house, and the XBox never gets played. We'll be buying our own soon so that it can be modded, but we'll probably just mostly play the old games on it so we don't have to lug out all of the systems.

     

    Why can't some of you just understand that what's important to you as a gamer may not be important to others? I could care less about gaming online, I have absolutely no desire whatsoever to game online. That's what we have a PC & a Mac for. I don't like 90% of the games out for the XBox or the PS2, in fact I see the XBox gaming taking the direction of the PS2, a bunch of shit titles just to make the library bigger.

     

    Some people think the XBox is the greatest thing on earth. These comparisons to football teams, etc is just fueling the fire. It doesn't really matter who likes what, we're all here because we like to game. Let's try being a little mature for a change and respecting each others opinions enough not to belittle what each other likes. :roll:

    I'd be more excited about a new Mario Cart than a new Halo. I've never been able to get into Halo..but I I'm not discounting the game as tons of people like it, so I'm sure it's great.

     

    Anyway, the point is that since not everyone adores the same system, yes it is possible for some people to be more excited about one thing than another and that doesn't mean any of us should talk shit or laugh at each other. Wow, that sounds really weird coming from me. :ponder:

    Illegal or not, coming to this site and making a total ass of himself in front of the entire community is not a wise decision. What I don't get (and maybe I'm completely missing something here) is that everyone is pissy about how illegal they feel it is to cancel the auction by selling it to someone privately, umm, isn't this a burned copy?!
