  1. I just filled up my third megafile 20 and I am now on a continuing quest for more disc space! If anyone has an extra hard drive or two for the ST, I'd like to know what you're asking!
  2. Come to think of it, that's the only thing I've ever seen the seller list that had free shipping. Although with the recent price jumping of MegaSTs, I think that there's still a pretty penny to be made!
  3. The one thing I didn't get.

  5. I don't have the time to slap together an EPROM burner. I realized that when trying to build the one it's based on. Besides, I hate Ratshack.
  6. Anyone have an EPROM burner and willing to sell me tos 2.06???
  7. Maybe I should sell all my duplicates now
  8. Well... If you have any old dos-formatted 720k discs they should work fine for that. Some ST discs will work, some won't...
  9. It appears to do the same thing that the pot on the 2600's mainboard does - colour. Actually on this one it makes the colours brighter or go to greyscale... Pretty neat.
  10. I found that out in my tests. I am curious though exactly what the pot on the main board is for?
  11. I got mine mint boxed for $5. How lucky is that?
  12. as long as you have a radio hack near by, you can always get an adaptor As for atari, as far as I can tell, the DC input "wallwort" always put out 9vdc, for all the units atari made, this is always a good rule of thumb, if it was a battery unit, if it takes one of them round types of batteries, the batteries themselves were always at a rating of 1.5 volts each. the size of the battery usually indicated the longevity of the battery, or the AMH level. in any case, if a unit requires 6 1.5 volt battereies, reguardless of the size asking, the unit wants 9 volts also remember that most units actually want about 5vdc, but the built in power regulators cut it down I always called them ratshack. What I did was get a nice large metal case and make a multi-adapter that will power all my game systems. Only one ac plug but for each adapter you can select the voltage/polarity/ac,dc and i used the plugs from multi-adapters so you can use whatever end you need. I did have to install a few fans though
  13. If I turn off graphics I really can't tell the difference between 14.4 and 56k. Now as for DSL...
  14. I'm using a 56k at 14.4 with CAB as a browser with STiK for the PPP stack and TCP/IP stuff. On my main ST anyways.
  15. I just upgraded my main STE from 1MB to 4MB. All I can say is WOW. Web sites load faster, programs run faster, I can even play mods without skipping while working in Neochrome or STOS! I can't believe how much of a difference it made!
  16. I was actually referring to how do you get it online now... I use it for web browsing all the time!
  17. What program do you use to get your ST online? On my main ST I use STiK and on my dedicated music ST I use STinG. So, what do you use?
  18. I successfully found his phone number. I'll post it if you guys want it.
  19. I just use a DVORTYboard (you can switch from qwerty to dvorak by flipping a switch!)
  20. I got 13 carts for $13 total. They are: Assembler Editor Asteroids Basic XL (The Orange Cart from OSS Precision Software) Choplifter Kickback K-Razy Kritters Mountain King Pac-Man Pac-Man Q*Bert Space Invaders Star Raiders Super Breakout (CIB) How'd I do?
  21. Sounds like a good idea! I'd LOVE to try it out!
  22. I had it around somewhere and I've been meaning to call him but now I can't find it.
  23. I had a copy of STOS, but all of a sudden, the master disc died. I bought another copy of STOS but this copy had an intro screen whenever you ran a program you compiled with it. Is there anywhere I can get a copy of the version without the intro screen? Thanks!
  24. http://www.atari.st is always looking for scanned images, and I am always looking for ST games!
