Having wanted a pair of these Atari 7800 digital control pads since I found out about them a few years ago I saw a few pop up on eBay for a decent price and bought 2 of them. I received them today, but they feel extremely cheap! Almost no weight to them, and aside from the silver Atari logo (which is flaking off) there are no codes or other atari markings. I am very familiar with the bootleg NES and SNES control pads that have flooded eBay, but I didn't think anyone would bother with knocking off the Atari 7800 pad. Am I wrong? Could these controllers be bootlegs? Unfortunately I don't have another to compare to, but it really, everything about it screams fake. Hopefully someone can help me figure this out so I can take it up with the seller. This is the auction by the way: eBay Auction -- Item Number: 290753873002 You can see that the cord in the auction looks nothing like the one I received. The seller seems to have a huge supply of these. (He's sold at least 50 of these based on FB) The Warranty sticker also looks brand new/fabricated. I snapped a picture (with my cheap iPod Touch), but you can see how the cable is much different than the one Classic Game Room has shown in his video. The cable is grey and has no Atari symbol on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I was just wondering if you are only limiting your sales to those 2 games for legal reasons or because you don't have high enough quality scans of originals. I would love to have more reproduction overlays to keep my originals safe and preserved. It's very hard to find used overlays that are in good shape I've noticed too. I'm very surprised we aren't seeing more of these available. Proving once again that the Vectrex never got the love and respect that it so deserves! Anyway, If you are in need of high quality scans I could help out with 5 mint overlays. I also plan on buying more soon so I would do what I can to help you. Here's what I currently have: VGO Vectrex games owned I personally think you could sell a lot more overlays if you had more to provide. With International shipping costing so much it would make sense to ship 10 overlays for just about the cost it would be to ship just 2. Thanks! I have just had a bunch of Mine Storm and Pole Position overlays professionally screen printed and die cut. I am currently selling them in pairs. See vectrex.co.uk shop for more info. Price for one set of overlays comprising one Mine Storm and one Pole Position and standard postage is US £18.69 EC £17.21 UK £16.43 With normal postage I will not be responsible for loss or non arrival of package. I highly recommend recorded signed for postage method for countries other than the UK. Price for one set of overlays comprising one Mine Storm and one Pole Position with recorded signed for postage US £23.62 EC £22.16 UK £18.21 If you want to purchase a set please send an email to [email protected] stating your country, and which delivery method you would like (standard, or recorded signed for). In return I will send you a PayPal request (from a different email) which will request the amount in your country's currency.

Mega Play was a publication developed by Sendai (The EGM guys) I believe what you are looking for is SEGA Vision. You can find every cover scan here: SEGA Visions @ VGO -
Genesis controller on Atari? (yes I know this has been asked)
spoonman replied to wood_jl's topic in Atari 8-Bit Computers
In case anyone is still wondering.. you can use a Genesis controller on an atari 2600, 7800, Colecovision, SMS, and Vic-20, and probably a ton more that I can't think of I discovered to start a Colecovision game (1 player/normal diff) you have to press down/right. Or is it down/left... it's been a few years What I AM wondering is if you can use a Sega Master System Phaser light gun on an Atari 7800 to play the handful of light gun games. Anyone know? -
That's unfortunate. I really don't think it would affect his sales if he were to release the rom, in fact it would probably have the opposite effect as with John Dondzilla's games. I played a couple of his Vectrex games on MESS and realized the quality of his work was so good I purchased 2 of his carts. It's just a shame that many people won't get to experience this game either because of the price or because they just aren't available for sale. it really does look amazing too. How about releasing a timed demo or something? Let Pac-Man eat 25 dots before coming up with a big message that said TO CONTINUE EATING YOUR DOTS YOU MUST PURCHASE THIS CARTRIDGE He could even make it look like the INSERT GAME CARTRIDGE black screen to annoy us into buying it!

SNES two tone yellow on top white on bottom?!?
spoonman replied to kevin242's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I always figured it was from the heat it produces + different plastics. I have 3 unopened SNES's all perfect grey/Purple and the one SNES that I have been using for 17 years and it has a bit of Yellowing. I just keep my SWC DX on top and it isn't as noticeable -
Hmm... http://www.colecocollector.com/ ? Seems like a generic reserved webspace to me. Is it something other than that address? Also, I have no problem hosting manuals, magazines etc. @ my website. It's been up since 1996 so you don't have to worry about it going away anytime soon

Thanks. As far as sending the 600dpi images I could setup an ftp for you so you could maybe get them started overnight or something. At 1500x1986ish resolution saved at 10 compression in Photoshop the jpgs should be an average of 300KB/pic Not too bad over dialup. The main things would be the original resolution (1500x1986ish) is a must and saving the jpg without highly compressing it is also important. Like I mentioned, in Photoshop I always save at 10 "Maximum quality". Some programs give you the option in %.. I wouldn't go any lower than 95%. I tried editing a few of your scans, but when I change the file size to match my other scans they get a bit too pixelated. Not too bad but if we can do better, why not? It's up to you. If you want me to set my ftp up for you just say the word. If you want to send a CDR that's fine too. You're right, Colecovision manuals are few and far between... I saw a couple scanned PDF manuals posted on a newsgroup once. I am very surprised there are none on replacementdocs.com We should all start scanning them I scanned a few Atari 2600, neogeo, nes, genesis manuals for the cause.

Hey, great to see you have those issues. If you still need help with scanning at a higher resolution or help with editing let me know. I am actually almost finished with the Fall 1983 issue of Colecovision Experience. I spent many hours editing and restoring this issue and would do the same with the other 2 as well. I recently upgraded to a new Epson Perfection scanner. I'm pretty impressed with the quality and have been re-scanning some of the older things I originally scanned with my HP Scanjet 6200cxi. I have an example of the before and after Colecovision Experience cover here if you want to check it out. I spent a few hours on the cover alone I am pretty OCD when it comes to this sort of thing... http://spoonman.roarvgm.com/videogame/mags...tters/index.htm Scroll to the bottom of the page. I'm up for helping out!
