Time for my ANNUAL WINDOWS RE-INSTALL. Thank God Acronis True Image Home makes it easy! Update and save again for next year!

  Have you tried Clonezilla? It's extremely easy, fast, reliable, and free. You can use all the default settings and get a perfect copy (or restore) in the scenario you've described above, or geek out and dig into the features. No install. Booting into a Clonezilla Live CD (downloadable ISO) and using the default settings, you're creating a backup (or restoring) in seconds.
