  1. Thank you, everyone, for interest. I guess I sold too cheap. Silly me. Windfall for ianoid, who seems like a good guy, and I'm glad he's getting it.

SO: EVERDRIVE 64 SOLD. SEGA GENESIS AVAILABLE. I know the Genesis is NOT rare, but shipping will me more than $10, so I thought $35 sounded reasonable, for a clean one with necessary accesories. Am I asking too much? Opinions welcome. Lord knows a Super Nintendo is worth more!!!!

But you should buy this, then add Everdrive-MD and season to taste! :)

  2.

    Greetings, all.

    2 items for sale.

First: Everdrive 64 for Nintendo 64. Stone Age Gamer "Deluxe" Edition. I don't remember what version, but near as I can tell, it says "version 2.00" on the back (see pictures). Firmware (etc.) is whatever it shipped with, because if it works great (and it does), I don't mess with anything.

    It is like new.

Bonus: Will include 32mb Sandisk SD card. However, you will have to locate your own ROMS, as I don't want to violate any policies by selling ROMs. However, I (or one of your friends) can possibly give a tip later where you can look on your own. It also works quite well with a very-capable NES emulator that is quite usable!

Very similar to what is for sale here at Stone Age Gamer....

    http://www.stoneagegamer.com/everdrive64-v2-deluxe.html

....except very close to 1/2 price, as I am looking for $75 with FREE SHIPPING TO CONTINENTAL U.S. I like my friends in other countries, but I have found that shipping is just completely ridiculous, now. I don't know if the Post Office is ripping off, but I can ship to England for less than I can ship to our close neighbors in Canada, sometimes. Crazy world. It's just almost not practical anymore. Pics....

Second: Very basic Sega Genesis 2 system. Pretty good condition. A few scuffs (most notably right front corner on top (see pics)) but everything is squeaky-clean. Standard 3-button controller has a couple of scrapes, but has been disassembled, thoroughly-cleaned, etc. No grease and dead skin packed into the nooks and crannies like an Ebay or thrift-store system. Third-party 6-button controller still in package. RF and composite cords. Beavis and Butthead (sorry, that's all I had) to demo system with. Original OEM power supply.

Looking for $35 shipped in continental U.S., which is almost a give-away, considering shipping. Pics:

  3. No problem. Hope everything works out for you.

You are a real stand-up guy, Bill. And to be truthful, I admire what you do, and what you have done, and what you continue to to do for the gaming community.

This is NOT an excuse, but I've been through some personal tragedy recently, I was intoxicated, and I lashed out at you, when I absolutely should not have. In actuality, I really like your posts (you have some good informative posts, son) and I will definitely be interested in your book.

Although it looks like I am crazy, I am not (er, I think I am not), and I - once again - apologize to you personally (can I do that over the internet?), and I also apologize to Albert for providing this awesome forum that I love, and I apologize to the rest of the readers of my bull....(You're welcome for the free drama, however!!).

You're a bigger man than I am, Bill, and I shall learn from this bad experience.

Take care, and keep doing what you do so well.

    James Wood

  4.

I am going to have to eat crow on this one, but I wanted to make it public.

I ranted against Bill Loguidice in another thread, (I got banned!!!) and I wish to apologize to him. It's not just that I got banned, because this isn't required.

I also apologize to emkay for being negative. But most of all, I apologize to AL for creating a problem.

I am going though a bit of some tough times right now, although that's no excuse. Take care, all.

  5. "Hah" indeed. Seems like someone is having a bad day.

How so? Contradicting a bullshit artist and salesman is a bad day? Because I called you out on your shit, Atgames salesman??

To clarify my point... The Atari 8-bit was clearly the class of the computers it was contemporary to up to 1982, and its demos smoke all the pre 1982 systems

Yes it fucking does do that. It doesn't require acknowledgement from you, to do so. Fucking Duh.

If you include the C-64 in that mix, however - and I laid out an argument why you could - it's a tougher fight.

Of course. The C64 is quite a capable machine. I have come to really like it, with the 1541 Ultimate 2, and I have 2 of em'!!!

The C-64 has some incredible demos and incredible demo makers, and quite capable hardware.

Of course it does, your self-appointed authority on the subject....I mean peddeler of Atgames Cheap Shit Junk emulation products. Yes, I think I got that one right, don't you. Please approve by continuing to advocate for Atgames Cheap Shit Junk Products. I surmise that you will, and you will PROVE ME C0RRECT BY CONTINUING. Am I wrong? LOL! HAH! :)

In terms of your brilliant statement of what forum we're on, yeah, I get it, but most people on here are capable of having honest discussions about all kinds of things beyond just how amazing Atari stuff is. If you want only Atari cheerleading, AtariAge is probably not for you. Of course, you can start your own cheerleading thread and then it can be more of the type of one-sided discussion you seem to crave.

It's quite accurate - the observation of what forum we are on - as this is ATARIAGE and I advocate Atari, bozo. Fucking DUH, once again. The only thing I crave is for "Super Salesman" like you to go away, and go someplace else,to peddle your Cheap Chinese Shit, you huckster!!! The only "CHEERLEADING" going on here is you trying to peddle cheap Chinese bulllshit as actual Atari shit, Huckster.

And hey, thanks for pointing out one of my jobs.

I feel sorry for you in that it requires you to have more than one job. I've been there, as I have worked 2 jobs myself, in the distant past, when I was more needy than I am now. It's all better, in case you wanted to know. I wonder what wild hair grew up your ass that misguided you to think that I possibly care about how many jobs you have. Please explain! Because you suck at the Atgames advocacy job. Please enlighten me as to what else you suck as, for a profession.

I sometimes wonder if it's well-known enough what I do.

Your wondering about that is perhaps the best pontification that you've ever done. Of course it's not, because of the fat-headed assumption that anybody really gives a fuck what you do (other than advocate Cheap Shit Junk Atgames products, constantly and without request). But since you're obviously wanting to blow off about it (like you normally do), go ahead an enlighten us mortals. What the fuck do you do?

    While we're plugging my work,

NO. Correction. While you're plugging your own "work." Obviously, some cheap shit junk promotion.

be sure to check out my upcoming "cheap shit junk" Atari 2600 book from Prima too. I bet you'll have wonderful things to say about it.+

Only if it's free. The Atari 2600 has made its own history, and there are already many books (and fee reads) out there. Best of luck, however!

  6.

And you're unquestionably missing the context of my statement, but I suppose that's understandable.

Hah. I read you statement. You intended to denigrate the Atari 8-bit (vs the Commodore 64, your preference, and that's OK, even though we're at ATARIage and not Lemon64), by bringing up the timeline of CTIA vs GTIA vs the Commodore 64 Computer, itself. It's quite clear, and yes, it's quite understandable. Now get back to advocating that cheap shit junk products that Atgames sells. You're quite good at that, and relentless, too. There is little doubt why they hired you. I mean that as a complement. :)

  7. Good Lord, I am behind the times. But I want this! I'm not sure that I'm even worthy. I haven't read the rest of the 40 pages yet, but I see that I need to, in order to even understand this. I see mentions of specific cases for the motherboard that I need. I see mentions of other things. I just want this and I want to be put down for 2 of the "most assembled" things I can. I will self-educate and reply later. This is so awesome that I can't believe it!! Bravo, mytekcontrols!!!!!

  8.

I would include all computers up to early 1982 because of the GTIA replacement thing, which the demos in question rely on, right? And if we get to 1982, then a certain Commodore computer suddenly comes into play... Regardless, it was definitely in the audio-visual upper echelon of personal computers at least up until that time.

Unquestionably, you are a Commodore 64 advocate, rather than an Atari 800 advocate. That's ok. That's definitely a viable position of advocacy. Yet here we are, at Atariage, while Lemon64 forum is missing you, so badly! They would certainly appreciate your viewpoint! Try it over there and see!

  9. ..and yet here we are with 168 replies spread over pages?? Not sure what makes a thread pointless or worthwhile.

Oh, is THAT THE METRIC that we measure "worthwhile" threads by?

Well, here's a real winner, then.....

    http://atariage.com/forums/topic/134852-atari-v-commodore/page-464?do=findComment&comment=1867475

There's a real winner, then, with 464 pages. Yeah, I participated, but I was wrong. But since that's the metric of success......

  10. You have degraded to the point of just trying to create controversy. I can't possibly conceive as to why.

At one time, I thought you were a true Atari 8-bit Computer enthusiast. I like those folks!!! I try to be one, myself!

    However, you're just a shit-starter and shit-stirrer.

If the 8-bit is "uninspiring,", then find another hobby. Please stop posting about something so "uninspiring."

  11. As we all know, Microsoft Windows always has been, and always will-be, flawed. That being said, I thought XP stood out in my mind as the most significant advancement. I mean, FINALLY, YOU WERE OUT OF .DLL HELL FROM EARLIER VERSIONS!!!! Yes I understand, Windows Haters, it's still Windows. But it was at least SOMEWHAT stable. It just kept out of the way and launched my programs. That's all I really wanted.

Win98 was quite flawed, but I had a good run with that one, too.

Windows 7 is as far as I have made it, and I suppose I like it for similarities to the past. I inherited a cheap (but mint condition) laptop. It had Vista. I hated Vista. I bought one of those cheap Windows 7 (with viable serial number for install) from Ebay, and I can't believe how much noticeably-better the slug is with 7. So, although my experience with Vista is quite limited, it must really suck and 7 is evidently much better!

Notice, there's been little mention of Windows 8, 8.1 (what's the difference? avoided it all the same!!!!) and I haven't seen Windows 10 here, but I haven't tried it, so I'll reserve judgment.

  12. It's always a bit of fun to look up an old Atari store from the heyday (thanks for at least that, Google Street View!!!), and see what's there now.

So here's what at 2357 Coney Isand Ave in Brooklyn, NY now.....

  13. I have had three 2600s and one 7800 modded by the nice fellow at.....

    http://electronicsentimentalities.com/

Now, I know he wasn't the cheapest, and I think he used the "Longhorn" mod, but he did exquisite work, and you got S-video. S-video still means a lot to me, on whatever classic consoles could produce it. I also liked how for an extra $10 (or so??) he would go through the rest of the console and correct quickly-fixed "common issues." I am quite satisfied with his work!!!

However, I hadn't visited his site in a good while, and when I went back there just now......

I've had to put my hobby business on hold. Everything should be out of stock. I've become a cancer caregiver. My wife was diagnosed with T-Cell Lymphoma in January 2017. She is also a ovarian cancer survivor. The ovarian cancer fight was in 2007. Prayers and well wishes welcome. I hope to get back to my Atari work after this battle with Lymphoma.

How sad! I can't remember the fellow's name at the moment, only that he was a great guy to deal with, reliable as the day is long, and I thoroughly enjoy his work. Best wishes to his wife, to him, and the rest of the family. I would not hesitate to have him do more mods in the future, if he can. :(
