Yeah, I was only kidding, but one could actually argue that the ColecoVision was an MSX at heart as well...
What about the Apple/Bandai Pippin?

I can't believe no one's mentioned the awesome game systems from Casio- the PV-1000 and the Loopy!

It could be that something on the Fable disc or a release of dust has blocked the lenses on both machines.

Just saw this on TV in New York and my first thought was "I'd rather have the Atari"

You're out of you mind. Some have not aged well, F zero comes to mind, man that game is boring now, I can't believe how much I used to play that piece of Sh$t!
That game was, is, and will always be awesome! I still prefer it to every subsequent F-Zero game.I like Pilotwings too. It has some great BGM.
Totally true. F-Zero I'd one of the few she's games which I feel is still highly playable. Pilotwings is a blast as well.

For some reason, going into preferences and re-pointing the program to the folder where the ROMs are kept made it suddenly see them in my case. YMMV...
-
For some reason, it indexes every ROM you could have, not just those you actually do have. So, just launch those actually present. If you Google it, you'll find a helper app for it about three links down. Sorry I can't be of more help right now but I'm away from my main machine.

MacMame is sadly no longer in development. Check out "Mame OS X". Works well with currently hardware. Make sure to turn on OpenGL rendering in the prefs for a hefty speed up.

Didn't someone make a 2600 cake and then leave it outside in the rain to swell and take on a swollen, monsterous, mass of a shape?
I vaguely remember, and it still haunts my dreams...

When I was in sixth grade or so, the father of one of my friends would import all manner of cheap toys, crappy calculators and stuff to sell, where I don't know.
One day he brought out what appeared to be a bootleg or proto copy of Space Jockey (before it was known on the US market) and told me to show it off to people I knew and gather pre-orders for it, at only $5! A lot of people became interested but I can't recall any actual sales coming from it, probably due to the lack of follow-up on my part, which dictates a lot of super-young behavior.

The DreamCast version is one of my favorite games, with a best time of 1:28 on Venice Canals. I never played the N64 version, which the programmers of the arcade version said was their favorite.

Maybe they should try to make her outfit look a little more worn-in so that there's a bit more realism to the image. Looks cheap and fake.
She's okay but could have been found in any local mall.

Space Ace for the Jaguar has a glitch which offsets the timing between when the animation shows a move is needed with when the computer is expecting it, making it completely unplayable. It could drive a man to seek revenge... Sweet, sweet revenge....
"Sssnake" for the 2600 is quite the abomination as well...

The anger and disappointment 2600 Pac Man brought to me was truly horrific and scarring.
I understood just how bad it was within moments.
Someone should still be brought to justice for that crime...
I personally feel that they made it suck in an attempt to make people buy the 5200.
SwordQuest was also a super-disappointment for me. Did anyone playtest this piece of crap or was the marketing department just allowed to run wild with no concern for gameplay?

Yes, PC-based gaming is completely "over"... Nothing to see here... Move along...
-
I love it due to the tools given to the player and the general foolishness that can result.
It's also fun trying to 'cheat' the system and get the player places he wasn't meant to go, etc. Using the bat to pick things up...
I think it's the most 'open ended' 2600 game out there.

Isn't it in the kids best interest to be encouraged to get in better shape? It's not as if WiiFit is telling them they can't play if they're out of shape, or making fun of them.
Why don't we also lie to them about their grades on tests in school then? We don't want them thinking they're not as smart as anybody else in the class, do we?
This is deeply stupid and non-sensical.

Well, he could stipulate in his will that they be destroyed upon his death...

It's probably a case of pseudo-'Engrish', where someone in Japan just chose two english words that sounded good to them, and then made sure there were not profane (hopefuly.)
On a side note, the use of the name 'Juno' in this game lines up in time with another use by another Japanese company, the synth manufacturer Roland, who launched a Line Of Keyboards With That Name.
The Juno-106 (pictured in above link) was a great keyboard and one of the first two to implement the then-new MIDI standard.

That's a truly excellent translation of the original game!
I really like the arcade Juno First and have played it a lot. You got almost everything spot-on, VERY impressive for a 2600 game.
My only issue is that some of the alien creation and movement patterns seem to be significantly different from the original. I know that the arcade game somehow makes it so that moving backwards is not as likely to result in a collision/immediate death.
Maybe capturing a video of the original in emulation would allow for its movement patterns to be more easily analyzed.
Top notch work though!

Most the objects are programmed to behave completely within the rules of physics, so they fall, stack and lie as they will. I think it adds an interesting element of 'reality' where it may be surprising to find it. The only exception is the bridge, which I've programmed to stand upright at all times so as to facilitate its use.
Finding objets is an issue though, which I'm currently thinking about ways of handling.

Here's an early version of the main title musical theme I'm writing for the final, downloadable (NOT web-based, too big for that...) version of Adventure 2000. Like the game itself, this is also unfinished-
There will be at least two other pieces in the game, one quick one to mark your death and a victory fanfare played upon the chalice's return. There are also some unique dragon sounds and other FX things in the works as well.
