  1. Bill Foster: Two days ago it was fine. Are you telling me the street fell apart in two days?

  3. So if this is a build up to some April Fools scheme, what form could it take? Just having someone falsely claim to have a collection of rare carts which they intend to put up for sale would not cut it here as far as April Fools pranks go. This forum is far beyond that and would now demand at the minimum some faked footage of a previously unknown cart, if not a completely fabricated, playable ROM of said cart. It does seem super sketchy to me and the timing for the start of a long April Fool's setup is right...
  4. I went down this path of searching about six months ago and found nothing but suffering and disappointment. If you're running an Intel Mac I'm sure you could just host an emulation app in a Windows virtual machine.
  5. If the lights are in good shape you could probably cover all the cash you laid out if you can find the right person/company to sell them too. Probably not here.
  6. Do you know what forum you're on? Graphics are far from the be all, end all here.
  7. I got a migraine from playing Sssnake for 20 minutes once. No game has ever done that to me. Not to say this makes it a bad game, but I was once playing House of the Dead on Dreamcast with a friend of mine and both of us had light guns with high speed auto-fire enabled, causing the screen to flash like mad. One second everything was fine, the next I was running to vomit my guts out in the bathroom.
  8. I checked it out and can honestly say that it's non-stop kill-or-be-killed action. Anybody who's looking for the neo-Targ-style experience it promises will not be disappointed.
  9. I used promo code- XPMRK7LWYAFR This should run fine on my Newton Message Pad, right?
  10. Thanks! I kind of got screwed over by Apple's rules and the fates as to a universal, HD version of Robot Party Pinball. Instead, I'll release a multi-game collection, and that will address the issue+. BTW- When 4.3 comes out, you may wish to release an ad-supported demo version of the game. it will help your sales and cash flow as that many customers are reluctant to drop ANY cash on a game to begin with, let alone without a demo.
  11. At least in sssSnake you visibly made a difference during gameplay. Not to say it was not close to being the worst game on the system, but IMO Karate barely qualifies as a game and is in fact a borderline abstract torture exercise.
  12. Looks good! Hectic arcade-style action is always welcome!
  13. Is that a variation on this image? Actually, I know it from somewhere but can't place it.
  14. I would say that the majority of issues with the i-Devices as a game platform are actually graphical. For example- while it's possible to use bump mapping or pretty much any shading technique, the GPUs used can't handle rendering these effects full screen while maintaining a decent frame rate, so they are almost never used. Due to resolution differences, there are in fact some games which use bump maps and more on the iPhone 3GS but turn them off when running on the iPhone 4 or iPad, due to the larger number of pixels which needs to be rendered on those higher res devices. It's still a great platform to develop for but you have to bake all your textures and optimize like mad all the time. No physical controls either, as you mentioned above.
  15. I didn't believe in love at first sight... I will definitely make my games work with this thing as well.
  16. I've tried it on iPhone 4 and iPad and love the "Yak Style" of it. My only issue with it is the control scheme. I've truly given it my full effort to get comfortable with but still find it chaotic and lacking in precision. Perhaps you could add an alternate method for single player in which up and down drags on the left rotate the ship and touches on the right control thrust?
  17. What made them such a uniform grey color? Just dirt?
  18. It looks great and I'm glad to see you bring your unique creative sensibilities to the iOS platform!
  19. Nobody is blaming Frogger. The reasoning is that the guy had been discussing Frogger with his pals and they then went to the highway. One of his friends yelled "Go!" and he jumped into the highway:
  20. I have it on the iPad and I agree that it's very limited compared to the BurnOut series. I especially miss Crash Mode.
  21. I vote for Karate as that any game you can't even tell if you're influencing, sucks pretty badly.
  22. The ergonomics of it may not work too well being it's so small. A little arcade cabinet would be cool too.
  23. "If we rub our bald heads together Mr.Clean will appear and spiffy-up our Jags!"
  24. With general techno-literacy on the rise, many very competent third-party folks are dead set on bringing 3D printing technology within the grasp of the dedicated individual. You can check out the affordable MakerBot HERE (someone has already used one to print a gear which he used to fix his washing machine) and the lightning fast progress on decoding and then writing drivers for the Kinect camera/3D sensor is another example. Viva la revolution!
