  1. I came across this pic of an extensively modified AVM. Anyone know about this one??
  2. Found and bought off eBay .. 1983 Marvel comic book ad ..
  3. I finally modified my RSI to be a 7800 controller .. I have a second one I might modify to work with the Vectrex.
  4. Finishing up work on my dedicated Stramash Zone, Atari 2600 Battlezone and Robot Tank controller. It will have two DB9 ports on the back for the two controller inputs. I will add a switch to select fire to go out to pin 4 Vectrex or pin 6 Atari. Gotta make some Combat! Stickers!

  6. I chose not to take the rubber hand grips off their shafts because I was just cleaning things up and investigating the pot. It went back together just fine. Problem with Stunt Cycle is that the mechanism limits the range of the pot which on the Vectrex registered from 1/2 UP to full UP when I tested it. Adding resistors changed nothing. Some variable joysticks can be modified to work with the Vectrex with the addition of resistors to the outside tabs of the pots.
  7. Back together again with a new shorter RF cable. I shined up the switches with a dremel tool brush. note: the spring return pot cannot be used for the Vectrex or Lunar Lander thruster .. yes I tried to make it work with both.
  8. This afternoon I took the Stunt Cycle down to its bits for a complete cleaning .. I did everything but take the rubber grips off the plastic shafts .. I’ll clean the pot with deoxit to keep it working smoothly .. and the switches too. The pot is 100k Ohm .. nice clean spring to make the grip return to rest. I am thinking of adding a port to the back of the unit so that I can connect it to other consoles .. like the Vectrex.
  9. Is it the machine or the sticks? If you detach both sticks .. does the problem go away?
  10. This evening my wife helped me by printing out end labels for some of my carts. 2, 3, 4, 5, 9, the site is missing end label scans for 10 and 14. Anyone know of another site with scans?
  11. Does anyone have a spare Push To Eject Button as in the above picture?
  12. Who has controllers with the red fire buttons in front?
  13. Does anyone have a spare “Press to Eject Cartridge” black button?

    Vectrex Parts

I have an extra .. You will have to be able to remove the CRT and circuits out of the way.
  15. A pair of driving controllers were packed in with each Atari Indy 500 / Sears Race cart .. originally released the first year 1977. Cost was $40 then. i did not understand how they worked until I plugged them into the Vectrex running the controller test function .. many years ago: They are rotary digital switches which create button pushes called Quadrature encoding ..
  16. I am trimming a small amount of rubber from the bottom of the plugs to fit the Vectrex controller ports. They are 9 wire through cables and will work with all 9 pin controller port systems.
