Are you late? ... Mario is back!
PAC-MAN PRIME replied to retroillucid's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Please add me to the list for an NTSC cart. -
Perry, I haven't had much time to chime in here, but the game looks outstanding! I cannot wait to play it on console. I'll be sending my payment for a cart shortly. Marc, really nice work on the box! I do have to agree with a few of the others, though. I think it would be best to not use a modern depiction of any of the characters anywhere on the box. This is, afterall, an attempt (very successful attempt, actually) for a faithful adaptation of the original arcade game played on the 7800. Whereas this version of Mario only makes me think of Super Mario 64 or Super Mario Galaxy. Additionally, I also agree that since this finally includes all 4 screens of the arcade game, all four should be shown on the back to emphasize the completeness of Perry's work. Maybe even include a shot of the intro sequence and/or the in between sequences. I understand, though, that this may be too many screen shots for the area allowed. Then again maybe not if the screen shots take the place of the cgi Mario up top. Lastly, (and maybe as I did the label, I am seeing this with a little bias :-P) I think the artwork from the label would be better suited for the box cover as well. It's very subtle, but I took the original arcade side art and repurposed it for the label art. It always bugged me how it looks like when they originally recreated the art for the old 7800 DK box, it looks like they rushed it by hurriedly tracing the original arcade art. So it looks close, but the 7800 DK art always looked sloppy to me. I can provide you a better version of the one on the DK XM label next week, if you're ok with that.

PAC-MAN PRIME replied to Pixelboy's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Got my first two games today already! They're awesome! Thanks, Luc for the fast shipping and outstanding production! -
Just played it, it's awesome! Excellent as usual, Bob! This came up quick too! I definitely want to get a cart of this, so please add me to any pending list. Thanks for the surprise!!!

Will this new cart release be any different from the previous one? If so, please add me to the list for new cart, box, and manual. If not, I would just like to get a box and manual. Thanks!

Hi Bob! I have been completely out of the loop for some time (too long!) and apparently completely missed out on the initial list for these carts. I still would very much like to get one though, so if any are still available, please add me to any secondary lists if you are still collecting names for orders. It goes without saying, but the game rocks!

Bob, I've said it many times, but I'll keep saying it. Thank you for all you do, especially for the 7800 community. You have programmed some of my favorite homebrews of all, and continue to frequently surprise us with your latest projects, keeping us wanting more and more. In fact, "Please add me to the list for a cart" for everything you do! :-P I will continue to support your work, because you never miss a beat. And you do it while also being a friendly, trustworthy person. Thanks for everything, Bob. It is good to have you back. - Robby

A little late to the party here, but I would like to add my appreciation for all Curt has done. As already stated here, I hope he continues to blow our minds with future projects. Thank you, Curt!

Hey Bob! I was out of town over the last week, and I come back to see you're back in full swing! Woohooo!!! Welcome back, man! This looks great! I have just saved the file and will try it in a minute.

...and the provoking persists... It's pretty clear who is antagonizing who here. I am not going to feed a troll, so this will be my last comment on this, but again, it is quite evident that sermajic is finding entertainment in pushing people's buttons. Bob, just hit the ignore button on him. Don't leave because of a troll. That is what he would want.

Horseboy (and the others as well) is 1000% right. I just came on here to check on any updates I may have missed. The 7800 SD cart topic caught my attention, then I stumbled upon this mess. I had no idea what had transpired over recent days, but I can't sit here and watch Bob just walk away feeling like no one else gives a crap without throwing in a couple of my own cents. I still am pretty new around here (at least I still feel like a noob) compared to a lot of you guys, but based on my time spent here so far, Bob you have totally been a stand-up guy (thanks again for taking care of that Meteor Shower rattle ) who is greatly respected and liked by the overwhelming majority of us here. This is actually the first time I've ever even seen or read about you calling anyone names. Obviously, you were provoked, so you did what any normal human being would do. Retaliate. Maybe it was heated, and maybe you posted your retort in the thick of it all, but (almost) everyone here knows you don't just go around attacking anyone. I'd certainly throw in my added support for you, and will also have your back. I don't know sermajic, and it is not my intent to make an enemy of him, or anyone else, but reading his comments here is disappointing, to say the least, and is positively not worth leaving AA over. As mentioned already, if you feel like taking a break for a few days, hopefully you'll feel better and forget about this, as it is not worth dwelling on. But please don't go, Bob. Your fans and friends would sorely miss you! - Robby

Wowee! I received my replacement today already! Thanks, Bob!!! I was not expecting you to send the replacement at least until you received the returned one. Very cool of ya. Thanks again for being so awesome. And just so you know, I sent the one with the rattle in it back to you on Saturday. So hopefully you'll receive it in a day or two. Thanks again!!!

Thank you. I will try to get it out tomorrow or Friday.

Hi Bob, I received my two Meteor Shower carts a couple of days ago. Thanks! They look awesome! Only thing is, my red one has something loose rattling inside of it. Could I please send it back to you for a replacement? Thanks again for everything you do!

Thanks guys! It's this, except that the Pels can originate from either side of the screen (not just the left): Bob Ah ok, thanks! I'm on another computer now, and I can play it from the link in your first post. Great game! I can totally see myself playing a lot of it. So of course I'd be down for a cart as well!
