Hello, I've had 3 Atari VCS core units in my (small) room for some time now, and it's obvious I'm never going to complete them. Does anybody want 1 (or 2, or 3) for some common titles? Perhaps you have a project or need a cosmetic upgrade. All the units are tested as working, and are in good cosmetic shape. I figure this is a chance for me to create space by mailing out the decks, and those 'just in case' shipping boxes I have laying around. I figure 10-15 common titles, or fewer less common titles would be pretty much even (VCS titles). I'm not looking for anything in particular. I'd prefer Atari 2600/7800 games, but I'm also interested in other systems, expecially the NES. Details can be worked out, and I'm very flexible as I'm just looking to broaden my small collection. Here's my list of games, as I'd prefer to not get many dupes. http://users.ign.com/collection/dodint If anyone in interested, reply here or send a PM. Thanks.

Perhaps he got the $30 number in the CDN/US Dollar conversion. Hopefully it's just a mixup. Sucks for you either way. Though if it was a mixup, how would he have money for the other auction so quickly if he couldn't pay you?

any slick ways of keeping track of collection?
Intrepid replied to cheezball's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I use IGN: http://users.ign.com/collection/dodint Sucks for label variations, and I have about 3 games they don't have in their database. It works for the time being though. -
That actually made me lol. heh.

bwahahahaha, great bonus.

Good. PM will be sent shortly to get started in making arrangements.

I recently purchased a 36" Wega and have no use for my old TV. I don't want to just throw away my old one, but it has a problem with it and it's not worth the effort for me to fix it. The TV is a 27" Sony Trinitron from the early 90's. Black cabinet and in good cosmetic shape. The problem with it is the tuner has gone bad, and channels come and go as they please. I've been told it would cost about $80 to have it fixed. The positive is the composite A/V hookup is still good. You can use it for either a game system or to hook up a VCR to run cable through. Perhaps you are working on a game room and don't need coax, or have any possible use for this TV. I don't want to just junk it, and I wouldn't feel right selling it as it's not fully functioning. TV comes with 2 remotes. 1 original remote, and a Sony brand VCR remote that also controls the TV. I have that VCR as well if you want it, but it doesn't play tapes anymore. Might be able to use it to run the cable through, however. I'm not sure. I live in Latrobe, PA which is 30 miles east of Pittsburgh. I'm obviously not shipping this item through the mail. I'd prefer you come pick it up, but I'm willing to drive a reasonable distance to meet you if you toss in some games (commons, rares, I don't really care. Just trying to make the drive worthwhile) If anybody is interested, let me know either in the thread or PM. If not I'll have to find somewhere to dump it.

Anyone interested in a Linksys Router I've had it for about a year and I have no use for it now that I've moved. It comes with all the manuals, inserts, hardware, and software. Missing the box. It also comes with 2 25ft strands of cat-5, 1 7-foot strand, and 1 3 foot strand. I may have an extra ethernet card laying around as well, but you'd have to find drivers online, and that's if I have it. It's a beautifully functioning router once you get it setup. Linksys tech support is free, and it's very good. It's worked for me in the past. Also, Linksys is still supporting (probably selling) this router, so they have updated Firmware on their site. Ebaying would be a pain in the ass, so if anyone wants to trade for some gaming stuff I'll take it. I'm looking for SMS, NES, Atari 2600/7800, and DreamCast in that order. If no one wants it I'll just go through the fun (hassle) of ebaying it. Thanks.

Not quite. Oh well. Thanks anyway. Maybe I halucenated it or something.
-
Thanks. But my original problem still wasn't solved. I distinctly remember seeing a picture (artist rendering) of what it would look like and I still can't find it. It seems to have fallen off the web altogeather.

Exactly. Where did that thread go?

Is Parlour Games a billiards game? I'd be interested in that if it is. As well as the Marksman game. Send me a PM with prices and I'll likely buy them off of you. I too just got my first SMS (hasn't arrived yet) so I have nothing to offer in trade. Glad you like your SMS.

I just purchased a Sega Master System on eBay. I now need a Power Adapter and video cables for it. Is there any other systems that share these items with it? Does anyone have an extra set they're willing to part with inexpensively? Did I get a good deal? Thanks.

Interesting. The first thing I noticed was that it was a 6er, and not a 4 like the auction console. Perhaps I should stop collecting for a while.

$11.50! I decided not to check on this because I figured 50 of you would have been waiting to snipe it, and the damn thing went for $11.50. Not that I need one, but I would have kept the games and sold the unit to my friend for $15.

Well, the TV has 2 coax inputs, so I'll be using 1 for cable and 1 for games. Will probably run the 7800 through the SNES through the Genesis RF. That's what I was doing before. The picture doesn't degrade too badly, and I'll eventually buy AV cables for the SNES and Gen and hook them too a switcher. If the picture is actually that bad, I still have my old A/B coax switch I can use to reduce the number of systems that get passed through.

lol! That's basic game theory, conviently bundled into a game show. Nice. I went to a lecture on game theory last year that was really interesting. Nice to see it being used for something useful.

I'm getting a new TV next week and therefore will have the inputs I've been wanting for so long. I need to decide what new cabling to buy to take full advantage of my new setup. This TV comes with 4 A/V inputs, including: 3 composite video (2 rear, 1 front) 2 S-video (1 rear, 1 front) 1 component video (rear) That's essentially 3 rear inputs and an aux front input. The component will very likely go to the PS2 as I use it as a DVD player also. The rear S-video will likely go to the DreamCast, and the composite will go to the NES (routed through the VCR, as it's a 2 birds with 1 stone there). What I'd like to know is what other systems are worthy of investing in S-Video cabling to really improve the picture. My personal most likely candidate is the Saturn. My thoughts on optimal cabling per system are as followed: Component: PS2* XBox Game Cube DreamCast* S-Video: Saturn* Composite: Genesis* NES* SNES* Coax: Pong Systems* Odyssey^2* Atari 2600/5200/7800* Sega Master System TG-16 Should there be any modifications to this recommendation? I'm considering the units under stock configuration, no A/V mods allowed. All coax units bypass RF switchboxes and use a phono to F adapter. Some systems (such as the N64) are left off because I do not know enough about their practical usage. *= systems I own

Atari 2600 Malagai *partially* sealed

This is getting to the point where it's almost at the price of my new 36" Wega. -
Good system to start off on at reasonable price
Intrepid replied to Zorgon's topic in Auction Central
Literal. I was scrolling through the auction grimmacing waiting for the absurd $30+ shipping charge, and was pleasantly surprised with the $20 flat rate. Granted, he'll probably end up eating some cash shipping that low. But I do that with every auction I sell. I think it makes people want to bid more. It's worked for me in the past. Overcharging on shipping pisses me off and I commend the seller for not padding his pockets with "handling" charges. -

Congrats to the seller for not inflating the shipping price. $20 seems very reasonable for a lot that size. -
My local EB employees are great. The manager has gotten to know me and always knows what's new in the DreamCast department. My only problem with him is that he thinks the XBox is the pinnacle of gaming and he tries to get me to leave with one each time. Good guy. Nice to see a manager of a gaming store that truely enjoys gaming.

Zelda with book, map, and sleeve I typically use the Goat Store to price games, and it looks like this is worth about $30+. I won't resell it because my girlfriend loves Zelda and the cart will get it's share of play, but I'm curious to know if I got a good deal. Thanks.
