  1. Not to be disrespectful to the site or the Al's, but I prefer to pick up products like this cheaper and locally at Radio Shack.
  2. I use the F-type connecter that converts the A/V cord to coax on my O2. The picture is perfect and alot easier than modding an excellent console.
  3. I paid her with c2it and I got my 9 Saturn games and one boxed Atari game very quickly. She was exceedingly nice about things, and didn't charge me for shipping on the Atari game. Shipping was only $9.95 Media Mail. I highly recommend her and will watch for new stuff from her.
  4. My NES sat in an outside storage shed and then a garage from about 1991 till 2002. I plugged it in and it fired right up. I did remove the casing a few weeks later and gave it a formal dusting/cleaning.
  5. K.C. Munchkin was the one that was deemed a Pac-Man clone as was pulled from the shelves. Good game. Crazy Chase came later and tried to capitalize on the name. I've never played it so I can't comment on it. I like the mind/puzzle games for the O2. Pick Axe Pete is an obvious winner and is definately one of the system's Top 3 titles.
  6. iLink racing on Gran Turismo is great fun. I've been to a few Gran Turismo parties where we have had as many as 6 TV's connected and running at once. Any non-racing TV's become broadcast TV's that allow others to watch. Lots of fun indeed. 6TV's and 6 PS2's all going at once on one table makes for a HOT room though.
  7. Hello, I got a nice Radio Shack TV Scoreboard at the local flea mall today for $2. I'm very happy with it, and it appears to work just fine. But can someone tell me how the scoring works with the Pistol games? I can tell the game is responding to the Pistol because it ends quickly if I random fire it repeatedly. But I always get a score of 15-0 no matter what. Is the gun defective or something? Does anyone have a manual I that you can look at to explain the scoring too me?
  8. Ummm, okay. Not exactly sure what's so funny. The auction isn't mine, and I don't intend on buying it. And my original question wasn't even addressed.
  9. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8&category=3537 What is a Gas Hog on it's own actually worth? This would be a nice starter lot if I had the cash. Definately not worth the BIN IMO. Seems to be alot of atypical carts in there. It's on my watch list regardless.
  10. Ebay owed my some money due to a car auction gone bad, so I don't pay that much attention to fees. I never would have thought of that.
  11. Reserve pricing defeats the point of an auction. If you want a certain amount for something, start the bidding at that amount. It makes you look alot more honest to the bidder, as well.
  12. You being happy is what's really important. I guess it's all a matter of perspective. I had no problem paying $9.95 Media Mail for 9 Saturn games and an Atari Boxed game, so who am I to complain.
  13. The bid was a great deal, but I don't think I'll EVER be able to come to grips with paying $18 for shipping for a lot that size.
  14. In my opinion, the DreamCast controler is by far the most comfortable and ergonomic. It's the first system that I've been able to be comfortable with analog thumbstick controls. It's odd to be gaming and NOT using my right thumb. And the shape of the control makes it feel like you're not even holding it. I love it. In the end I'm just as happy with the standard NES controller.
  15. awwww, man. That's unfortunate. By the looks of this auction, you're right. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...8&category=3545 Thanks, Ben. The offer is still out there. I have no use for the cart and would be more than willing to part with it for commons. Sorry about derailing the thread, I hadn't intended on posting this much in it. Thanks again.
  16. I didn't realize till I got back to my comp that I scanned it in black and white, but this should suffice to illustrate the dimensions of the cart/label.
  17. hmmm, lame. The Frogger cart just says "Frogger" on it. Not Atari though, the casing is too small and the board is too big. What is it? Coleco? The TI cart is "Home Computer Command Module: Munch Man" Interesting. I wonder where the system is for either of these carts. Not like anyone is donating single carts. I'll have to check back more frequently to see if these pop up. Since I don't have systems for either of these, they're in the trade-bin for now. Anybody have any Atari/Odyssey2/NES commons they want to swap for either/both?
  18. hmmm I saw a Frogger game at the local Thrift today for $.99. I thought it was just a regular Frogger but I can't find anything like it online. All the Atari regular froggers have the picture of the frog, but I think this one only had the word "Frogger" on it. I thought it was an INTV cart so I passed it up, but I'm wondering what it actually was. Guess I'm gonna head back out. Chances are someone will figure out what it is in the 20 mins that I'm gone, but oh well. Oh, are TI carts worth anything? There is one there as well. Couldn't find the system, just the single cart. Munch Crunch or something like that. Be back in 20 mins.
  19. Well, I guess I'll find out firsthand. Just picked up the Sega Saturn lot and a sealed Demon Attack. E-mailed her about combined shipping prices. Seems like $5 is alot to pay to toss a Demon Attack box in with 9 Saturn Games. I hope this works out well, since some of the games are relatively rare, and it will more than double my SS collection (just started 2 weeks ago). I'll find out soon enough.
  20. Paypal is fine with me. [email protected] I work all weekend so I'll probably ship it out Monday afternoon or Tuesday at the latest.
  21. My local Toys R Us has Paper Mario for $21 on Clearance. 5 left. Not sure what they're worth to you guys, but I can pick one up and send it out to you for $25 out the door if you want. Was amused to also see they still had Game Gear and Genesis games as well. DC stuff was way over priced.
  22. heh. I used to caddy at a local golf course when I was 14 till I was old enough to work summers at the local amusement park. Getting up at 4am to walk a mile in the dew to be first in line so I could be guaranteed a trip out blew. All to save up for a DeLorean that I wouldn't be able to drive anyway. fwiw, I got my 7800 for $18 at a local flea market.
  23. My Odyssey^2 is hardwired and I've never opened the case to look. I've never seen the non-hardwired controllers but I very much doubt it's a standard 9-pin.
