Did you even read the rest of the thread?

I got my DC boxed for $30 at EB and was offered a warranty. My EB also has boxed controllers for $3.99 and various VMU's/Mem cards for as low as $3.99. I've also bought games there ranging from $1.99 to $17.99. Sadly the games are getting harder to come by at EB, of the 150 games, 100 seem to be NFL2k1 and the rest not really worth buying. Did see a Final Fantasy game but that's not my genre so I don't know what it's worth. Also some BleemCast discs as well. I love my DC and can't wait to build the library. Hopefully I can complete it someday.

Um... err.... I play the classics because they are just as good as today's games. Oh, so do I. In fact, I haven't touched the lastest Gen consoles since I started collecting again. But you couldn't give me an N64/GameCube/SNES and expect me to actually use it. The arrogance of Nintendo combined with their lack of intriqing games for these consoles makes everything after NES crap for me. My dislike for post-NES Nintendo products has nothing to do with anything thing that happened in my childhood. /me goes to play with his Saturn.

I know I collect vintage gaming for two reasons. 1.) To enjoy the games I grew up with. (NES/7800) 2.) To recapture the systems I envied my friends for having. (SNES/Genesis/Saturn/etc.) Either way I love my collection and play as much as I can. Oh, and I hate Nintendo too, but because everything after the NES is crap. And, kids are brats. I'm glad I never was one.

I also have Rugby World Cup '95 for Genesis. Good game, but I don't know Rugby well enought to playit properly, so it just sits.
-
So the Atari 7800 is 'modern.'
-
I like the stock Atari 7800 sticks, but my girlfriend prefers to use the Genesis pads as well.

I went to the flea market for the first time this year. Simply put, it couldn't be any better! I scored: Atari 2600 w/controllers and power supply for $10. Complete (hardware) Atari 7800 w/controllers, 2600 controllers, game for $18. Sega Saturn complete (hardware) 2 controllers, and 6 games (including Myst) for $35. These were the top 3 consoles on my short list. I'm so happy to have gone to the market instead of too bed. Only thing was I forgot to grab the $4 NES lightgun I needed. Oh well, I really can't complain.

Coaxial (F-Type) to Female RCA Adapter - Does it really work
Intrepid replied to dhowerter's topic in Atari 2600
I too, use the F connector hooked up to an A/B switch. All of which I bought at Radio Shack. I love the convienance and picture. Only problem may be getting an A/B switch now, cause I've heard that RS is selling off their stock of A/B and other coax switches. I got mine on clearance. -
Yeah, who's counting the Channel F anyway.

Sweet. I'm getting a Saturn from a co-worker this week, so I'll have to pick it up. Thanks for the link.

http://www.classicgaming.com/tmk/nes.shtml That's a great web-site showing all the references to Mario and Mario related characters on the NES.

I used to have Doom II for the PC and liked it. I'm interested in knowing which consoles it was ported too. Thanks.

BEBE'S KIDS.. holy shit this game sucks
Intrepid replied to liquid_sky's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Am I the only one that likes this game? It is kind of odd that I've played it since I was 10 but have never actually beat it. Hmmm. -
I bought one and carry it in my car, but I've never been able to receive anything. I assume it to be because of the mountains I live near. I'll have to try it when I get closer to Pittsburgh. Anyone else have any problems in rural or geotopical areas?

Besides a NES rare guide, what about screen shots?
Intrepid replied to The MilkMan's topic in Classic Console Discussion
http://www.io.com/~vga2000/ It's got excellant screenshots, but it hasn't been updated in about 2 years and the guy that ran it had a real God complex or something. Skip past the extensive legal stuff and you'll have some nice shots. -
Call me stupid, but how can you tell? I've had PayPal for years, but just started selling again recently and am not sure if there was some policy change I missed. I'm verified and confirmed, and am sure I can accept CC, but I can't find anywhere in my account about it. I have an auction ending today so I'm kind of curious. Thanks.
-
On an interesting side note, I've been watching this 10 day auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3016893027&rd=1 On day 9 it was up to $120 already. I've never seen an NES cart go that high that fast. It's not even complete.

How Much is a Magnavox Odyssey 300 Worth?
Intrepid replied to Mintyfresh's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I picked up a 3000 on eBay today for $9.99 (+ $10 shipping ) boxed. I used to have a 300 when I was about 11, but I've lost it along the way. Can't wait to play around with it when it comes. -
Favorite Pre NES system excluding Atari and Colecovision
Intrepid replied to sku_u's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Magnavox Odyssey^2 Pros: Keyboard Puzzle/Mental Games. Joystick Design Cons: Hardwired controller cord too short. I like it, and a good starter lot can be had for less than $50 easily. -
Anyone collect vintage educational computers? I came across one of these today at the local thrift in excellent condition. It's not my cup of tea, but I'll pick it up at cost + shipping if anyone wants it. I went this morning after class and breakfast, so I can't quite remember the price. I know it wouldn't exceed $10. Maybe a trade for some games or a cheap console could be possible. Here's a pic of it: http://www.rdrop.com/~jimw/P0092.JPG If no interest does anyone know anything about it? edit: Unit has manual. Chances are if I bought it and read the manual, I'd know what it was about.

lol That's what you get for thinking different.

Then why the mention of the Power Glove, Virtual Boy, and games like River City Ransom?
