  1. OK so I haven't had time to play on my actual hardware, but here's my first score for the week.
  2. It's truly ironic, I just got this game a couple weeks ago at a trademeet, since I wanted to have all the Pac-Man games for my Atari 2600. Unfortunately, I don't know where the digital camera is, so I'm still stuck using emulation! (I'll have a score ASAP)
  3. I think it was Ze_ro who used the random number generator to pick a game in instances like this. Why not this time?
  4. It's amazing to think that Tod Frye hated Pac-Man, and decided to do a sloppy job just so he could get his paycheck. I wonder if he regrets what he did now? Still, there are people who liked this version nonetheless. I remember my mother telling me about the time she stayed up late one evening playing it, and turning over the score at least once. Nonetheless, here's my first score.
  5. Just a little something to remember: Once you've filled in a square, you don't have to worry about chase cars erasing your lines for that one.
  6. When I first saw this title awhile back on the internet, I thought it was Demolition Derby, and that it was a port of the arcade game. Well, I was wrong, but it's still neat.
  7. I always thought Pole Position was fast. It was even faster than the arcade version!
  8. I'm just curious, has anyone one here ever done their own custom labels? I have a lot of interesting thoughts for my own labels, but I stink royally at drawing.
  9. I remember Archon. I played it a lot in 5th and 6th grade, when we still had Apple 2 computers at my school. I would later find a CGA version for my ancient computer in 1994, and it turned out to be one of the timesucks for me when I was in my room.
  10. Whoa, someone's been VERY busy! Keep it up folks! I'd love to make some hacks of my own, but I don't know where to start.
  11. Paperboy Qix Roadblasters Road Runner (Just a few I could think of)
  12. I've tried using Genesis controllers on my Atari 2600 a few times, and it worked fine for the most part. However, I don't recommend using High Frequency controllers (some 6-button controllers are like that) since they can cause the game to act screwy. It happened when I was playing Dodge 'Em with a High Frequency controller, my car started going full speed without me touching the button, and it wouldn't respond to my controls.
  13. OK, you're probably wondering why I'm submitting a smaller score than my previous submission. I just found out today that the score I had earned was not, in fact, the true score that I should have gotten. I accidentally got it through a glitch which I had not known about untill today. At any rate, I would like to have my current score withdrawn and this score used as my current entry. I was not intentionally trying to cheat, but nevertheless, I want to play the honest way.
  14. I remember in fifth grade, there was this kid who came up with the idea of creating his own paper 'board' games, where he made a die out of paper, cut out little pictures of cars as the game pieces, and the goal was to be the first to complete a race, with various spaces telling you to lose a turn, go back one, etc. Man, what I would give for the abililty to design my own board games.
  15. Man, I could think of so many great 2600 games that could be made into paper games (or board games for that matter! )
  16. For the first time through I did pretty good actually!
  17. Football competition? That's something I could go for. We need an Atari 2600 emulator with the ability to play head-to-head online!
  18. If I knew how to program, I'd do a remake of this version of the game. Unfortunately, I don't know how to write games yet...
  19. Sometimes, I wonder why the king didn't ask for the Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch! (Because if he did, then there wouldn't be much of a game, now, would there? )
