Well, after all these years, I'm still not as good as I thought!

Letting Jack Tramiel take over Atari.

No scores yet, but here's a general bit of advice I use a lot of the time. You may only be able to get one creature into your saucer at a time before the warning alarm sounds. In this case, you should take advantage of this, since this gives you a chance to earn extra points before you get the other creature.

High Score Club Week 28: Space Treat Deluxe
Lauren Tyler replied to Ze_ro's topic in 2600 High Score Club
Well, this is a rather unique game, if not tough. -
Although I've played it on emulator and classic compilations, I never owned a copy of Activision's Tennis, although I'd love to now.

A friend of my mother's recently told me today that he thought he saw a Castle Wolfenstein game for the Atari 7800 once, but I've never seen nor heard anything of the sort. Is this just a rumor or was there one made/planned?
-
I guess I forgot to add in my post that my score was 4580?

Just a little something I noticed: Evil Otto always materializes in the same spot you started in each room, so try to move away from that spot as soon as possible to get a good head start on him.

How do you do this? I mean, I'd think there's like a template or something required for it?
-
I just knew this variation would be chosen once this game was selected. Nevertheless, here's my decent score.

You know, I remember when I was very young, my mother had taken a couple of pictures of me playing Joust on my Atari 2600. If I find them I'll upload 'em!
-
No 7800 expert? What about that copy of Commando you said you'd try to hold for me?!

Larcen's back!

As usual, I'll be there with my trademark snack of Pepsi and Cheez Doodles.

Do you have any cool 2600 stories to tell?
Lauren Tyler replied to Radio F Software's topic in Atari 2600
When I was about five or six, I injured my leg, and it was in an immobilizer. On the way home from the hospital, we stopped to see my new sitter's place. They had a miniature arcade Frogger which, alas, didn't work. To cheer me up from the disappointment of that and the fact my leg was in an immobilizer, my parents took me to Toys R Us to let me buy an Atari game. It was there that I got Pitfall 2. To this day, I still have the game and, while it does have its moments, it still works fine. -
I kind of have to agree with you, since it is kind of unusual the way they handled the control scheme for River Raid 2, but then again, given what they had to work with, there really wasn't much choice, was there?

I thought Parker Bros. was acquired by Hasbro or Milton Bradley? However, that doesn't necessarily mean the rights to the games went to whichever company acquired them.

Looks like I'll be sitting this one out again, sorry folks.

Private Eye is a non-linear game where you drive around a city looking for clues to solve a crime. The problem is with wonky controls, having a difficult time figuring out where everything is, and too little time. Beamrider is good, I've had that since I was a kid, and it was one of the few games my dad enjoyed watching me play. It is tough, but it's mighty fun. One warning, when you see a light green triangle-shaped thingy, DON'T shoot it! Collect it, it's worth an extra ship, and you need every extra life you can get!

If your vehicle touches another object even just so slightly, it will explode.

I remember the game Crackpots. Mention that title in my old high school and 90% of the student populace would be ratting you out for talking about drugs. Political correctness, can't live with it, can't live without it.
-
I've still got way too many Activision titles left to collect, but the ones I'm after the most are: River Raid 2 Dragster Tennis Boxing H.E.R.O.

Video Olympics does have four player games. Check the manual here to see which variations they are: http://www.atariage.com/manual_thumbs.html...wareLabelID=942

Like they said, it depends on the system and the cartridge. Some cartridges will work with some 7800s, and others won't, and vice versa. I do own Robot Tank and it works fine for me. Also, a similar problem exists with Food Fight for the 7800 (supposedly.) I don't know if this is true, but I do own a copy and it works perfectly fine.

You forgot something else: No RF connection!
