Figures, I'm finally getting the hang of Desert Falcon during the final few days! Oh well, here's my new score: 43,707

Just for the hell of it, I booted up the Atari 7800 version of Desert Falcon, and I discovered the Sphinx only takes one hit to kill, you just have to hit it right in the face. Unfortunately, the height detail and the hit detection of the Atari 2600 version are rather poor, so it took me awhile to figure out how to hit the Sphinx properly. But anyway, I got a better score! 22,061

After who-knows-how-long of never touching this blog, I've decided to start it over from scratch. I haven't got anything to report really, but I'll be updating from time to time.

Since we've a few extra days, I was wondering, does anyone have any tips for beating the Sphinx in Desert Falcon?

So yeah, I decided to try my luck at Desert Falcon again. Did somewhat better, but I definitely need more practice!

I'm mostly done with Desert Falcon (I like the Atari 7800 version better) and Lady Bug (not a bad game, just can't grasp the concept.) As for Bump 'n' Jump, a little practice and a LOT of safe driving make a HUGE difference: 276,096

After three consecutive stages of safe driving, I have a better score: 153,032

So yeah, here's my scores. Bump 'n' Jump: 62,228 - The safe driving bonus really pays off. Unfortunately, it's not always easy to get. Desert Falcon: 2,116 - How I prefer the Atari 7800 version over this one. Lady Bug: 22,120 - Not a bad game, I just never fully understood the mechanics.

It's true that PhotoShop didn't exist back in the 1980s, and they did require a photograph. However, that doesn't mean it's a legitimate score either.

That's not good.
