I'm very happy with mine. I hope they continue to make and support it. It's great fun to play old and new games on new tvs with brand new joysticks. Love the box it came with too for carting it around to new locations and tvs.

A friend of mine had one when we were kids. We had a blast on that thing. We also played 2600 at another friend's house, Intellivision at another friend's house, and 800 at my house. The systems were too expensive at the time, as well as the tradition being set, so each household could only afford one system. Unlike today, where people have multiple systems at once.
The Video Pinball console definitely got eclipsed by the rise of the 2600 and then later other newer systems. But it was well built and is still fun today.

Playing on skill 9 is bonkers!

I bought it to make using a modern TV with the 2600 easy. I also bought it to support what Atari is doing right now. And I bought it in hopes that it will be sturdy and last a long time. I currently own one dying 2600, one perfectly working Video Arcade II, and one working 7800. So it's extra assurance that I'll be able to keep playing 2600/7800 games for a good time to come.

That is awesome. I hope I can drop by there next time I visit relatives in FLA.

Or it could be the “disappearing sprites” problem that seems to affect some of the new consoles, which some say is due to the fact that games are running at 95% or even 100% of cpu usage? If so a future firmware update could hopefully fix it.
That sounds promising, and likely. In any case, Seawolf is a great game, and I enjoyed playing it on the 2600+ and a big, modern TV.

Huh - I've played Seawolf a fair bit on my Plus and haven't noticed that issue at all. Maybe I'll fire it up again tonight to look for this.
Maybe it's my cartridge?

Tried a few more.
Incoming! works
Flap Ping works
Dark Mage works
Seawolf works but has a small glitch. Sometimes your shots and the bad guys' shots vanish from view but are still there and can hit targets.
Swoops mostly works. Game 1, 3, and 4 work. Game 2 seems to freeze.

Reindeer Rescue
Space Treat Deluxe
both work.
Zippy the Porcupine
Seaweed Assault
do not work.

I have two PS3 games in my collection. We got them for a time when my kids were visiting a house with a PS3 and needed something to do. Hopefully I will own a PS3 in the near future and we can play them at home. My son and I played them at a friend's house once. Still hoping.

I love it. I had an 800 back in the day and still do. But I love the look of the 400 as well. And I love that this one can go into a modern tv and has ports to play more games. It will be more fun using this than using a "modern" looking computer to play the games. Almost like the original, but with a modern tv. And as stated earlier, if it supports all the 8-bit games and systems, then why not use one of the originals for the shell?
