All things he did last night, I'm guessing.

Three of my favorite 8-bit games! Ixion thanks to therealbountybob. The other two I no longer own because the disks died. But I remember them fondly.

  2. My gallery is back, connected to my profile. Perhaps the update did it? Or simply Al? Either way, thanks Al, it was something you did!
  3. And a few seconds, been mentioned above: Outlaw, Freeway, Fishing Derby. And then there's always Combat with all its variations, Space Invaders, M*A*S*H*, and Gunfight.
  4. Same thing happened here. We had two shops selling Atari 2600/5200/7800 carts for $1.00 each. Now they're asking $5.00 to $18.00. Dark Chambers went up to $18 and Pac-Man is now $5.00. We still have one shop that's selling them all for under $5.00 however. Not bad.
  5. Scones and strong coffee.

  6. I have an Atari 800, with 48k, for sale. Asking $68.00. Includes power supply and shipping to anywhere in the US. Also have a 1050 disk drive, power supply, and sio cord for $17 plus shipping. I can post pictures if anyone's interested. They are both in good condition. The 1050 does have a slight bend in the metal strip on top. Both items work excellently.
  7. I love playing 2600 games on a 2600. The cartridge slot is a problem sometimes on the 7800. Imagic games generally don't fit every 7800 I've had. But as mentioned above by cafeman, the rf signal is much better (because it's newer, or possibly better technology in the signal) on every 7800 I've owned. Many of my 2600 homebrews have wavy lines of interference on my 2600 vader, but not on my 7800s. So it's a toss up.
  8. Yes. Seconded. Looking forward to this!
  9. Beef Drop is spoken for, but I still have everything else left. Would anyone be interested in the stuff if I dropped the prices, or combined items and dropped the prices? It's just all sitting, gathering dust, and would be better off with someone else.
  10. One more thing I forgot: Beef Drop cart and manual for the Atari 800 asking $17 plus shipping. I'm in the process of selling my 800, and it won't run on my 400. Great game.
  11. Good Work Mimo! Glad you saved what you could.
  12. I have a several items for sale. 1050 disk drive in very good condition, with power supply and cord to connect it to an Atari computer. It has a small dent and bend in the silver metal strip, but everything else is top notch. Asking $25 plus shipping. Pack of Taco Bell Atari games for PC Super Breakout Centipde Asteroids Lunar Lander plus Atari Anniversary Edition CD game for PC asking $8 plus shipping for the five disks. Atari 7800 Owner's Manual asking $3.00 plus shipping if shipping amounts to anything over $1.00 Three 8bit manuals as a set: 1050 Disk Drive Owner's Guide (6 pages) 1050 Disk Drive An Introduction To the Disk Operating System (23 pages) 1050 Disk Drive Disk Operating System II Reference Manual (100 pages) asking $9 plus shipping.
  13. Qb, Seawolf, Oystron, Wolfenstein VCS (a hack that's more like a homebrew), Reindeer Rescue, Hunchy II, FlapPing, and Seaweed Assault are currently my favorites.
  14. Getting to the skatepark tomorrow with my bike, I hope.

+1 I like that idea. Check out my thread in general chat about reliving the glory days.

      Thanks for the heads up.

  15. Atari 2600 Burgertime 10 minutes Dodge 'Em 15 minutes FlapPing 7 minutes Seaquest 10 minutes Seaweed Assault 8 minutes Seawolf 5 minutes Venture 10 minutes Wolfenstein VCS The Next Mission 8 minutes Linux Burgerspace 10 minutes
  16. Another impressive thing about the 8-bit Atari computers is their video signal. The 400 and 800 are all I know, and they both send out and display a powerful, clear, vivid picture. I love my 2600, but its video signal is weak and sometimes fuzzy (interference). The 8-bit computers are positively modern, even with an rf connection on an old tv. Strong, clear, and great colors.
  17. I use a shoe box for my 400/800 carts, which then fits nicely in a drawer or on a shelf.
  18. Bandits on the Atari 800 is also quite impressive. I know it's not the 2600, nor the Vic-20, but it's worth a mention.
  19. Trying to get my camera to smoothy work with Debian Squeeze. It works roughly, slowly.

  20. Take a look at this thread in the 5200 forum: http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/195064-30th-anniversary-surprise/
  21. Was VGWiz the guy that made the blue shells for Seawolf? Those were really nice.
  22. Great guy to deal with. He bought a bunch of 8-bit games. He paid quickly and communicated every step. Highly recommended.
  23. Excellent guy to deal with. I sold him an 810 and all went well. I'd be happy to buy from or sell to him again.
  24. Choplifter, Bosconian, Another Donkey Kong with elevator and pie levels, something like Shamus (800) or Pharaoh's Curse (800), a few more platformers (maybe Jumpman).
