  1. Good game. I'd get a copy if I were you. (I have #42).
  2. I didn't realize there are bootleg flashbacks. Is there any warning signs on them? I'm not sure what the signs are, but I think if you search the threads in this forum you will find some threads on the pirate FB2s.
  3. FB2 has Pitfall, River Raid, and Climber 5. But you have to be careful finding one that is not a fake, as there are a bunch of Chinese knock offs floating around. The FB2+ has some decent sports, and also some terrible sports titles, that are not on the FB2. I don't know what the FB3 is like. You might look for a thread here at Atari Age about the FB3 to get some info. Good luck. You'll probably have fun with any of them.
  4. Good addition. Two hits suits levels 2 and 3 better.
  5. Thanks! The glowing rooms seem to be better received than my flashing rooms in Epic Adventure... Thanks for that. Glowing rooms make me dizzy, unfortunately. Two of my favorite homebrews, Oystron and This Planet Sucks also make me dizzy these days. But glowing rooms should be just fine. Thanks for making yet another quality adventure game for the VCS. I'm looking forward to this one on cart!
  6. I'm happy to see this thread. There used to be a Game Exchange shop here in Chattanooga and they sold N64 and Sega Genesis games in these kinds of boxes, which were also perfect for 2600/7800 games. I have a few, but never knew where to get any more once the shop closed.
  7. Looks good! Will you be putting this one out on cart as well?
  8. It's on the Flashback 2+ as well. Fully playable on N.American TVs.
  9. Thanks for all the input. I'm going to try getting mine to work later this week when I have some time off (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday).
  10. I think the person who decides to be moderator should keep it familiar, but add his/her own touch and change whatever strikes his/her fancy. I enjoyed the times I played in the past, but my main enjoyment is simply in playing the games and seeing how everyone else is doing as well. Bonus points for side items/quests are great as well. I love the way the 8-bit contests go with that. I'd be happy to participate however the new HSC goes. Thank you to Zero and thank you to the new person when it starts again.
  11. Been away for nine days.

  13. Send it back, I sent you info via PM, static may have killed the SARA chip. Odd really, 42 is the answer to everything. LOL Maybe not so odd. Maybe there's a connection to 42. Thanks for the message. I'll send it back and look forward to playing it again. This game rocks.
  14. Great game. A long way from Home Run, although I do enjoy that one too, but in a much different way.

  16. CPU WIZ, will you be making another batch? My cart #42 stopped working last night. I can't figure out why, I tried it on two different 2600s. My two year old may have dropped it and shaken something loose, as he was playing with it yesterday. In the meantime, I'll keep fiddling with it. If you make more, I'd like to buy another. Or I'd be happy to pay you to take a look at the insides of this one and see if it can be repaired. If not, you can reuse the shell. It's in fine shape. Thanks.
  17. 1291 It gets fast and even more fun as your score goes up. Hope to break 2000 soon.
  18. Now that I've had a little more time, got to use the pause feature on purpose, and stopped running into the seaweed, my score has improved. Got 1291 this afternoon. Will post a screenshot tonight with my highest score for the day. Advice from today. Don't ram the seaweed. It's not Yar's Revenge. And your manatee is not a battering ram. Or just reread the manual.
  19. "It has been said that Seaweed Assault is like a cross between Centipede and Yars' Revenge." (from RT's site). I'd also throw in Oystron. Three other excellent games as well. Good company. Makes the 2600 special.
  20. I like the 2600 version a lot. Maybe I'm odd. The 400/800/5200 version has great graphics, but terrible controller detection issues. And the arcade version is great. I wonder if an excellent 7800 version is possible? Pac-Man Plus?
  21. Nope: Oh yea. I need to brush up on the manual. And keep trying for a higher score.
  22. Squeezed in another attempt. 103. Will post a screenshot later if I don't get a higher score.
