2012 Harmony Games-Last round - Seaweed Assault
littleman jack replied to Dan Iacovelli's topic in 2600 High Score Club
I may have found an easter egg of sorts as well. When my son put a controller in port two and pushed the fire button, the game would pause and flash bright colors. Are we on to something, or was it just my Sears Video Arcade II acting up (it won't play Realsports Volleyball at all for instance)? -

A paltry 81. I know I can do better. A few hundred at least. I'll get a few more rounds in after the kids have gone to bed. Thanks for the tip, now I need to put it into action. -

Good news! I really like playing this one. Got the cart a little while back. I'll start posting my high scores this afternoon after work. -
Hello, I received a mysterious package a few days back with a cable in it. It was from a 8 bit HSC representative from NJ. It has an sio plug on one end and a USB plug on the other. Thank you mystery person! Now I must figure out how to use it with my 800 and my linux PC. Investigations to follow. Sincerely, littleman jack

He's a great seller. I just picked up a Sega Genesis and a Sonic 2 cart from him. They were shipped quickly and packed incredibly well.

What are your favorite unheard of games for the VCS?
littleman jack replied to Megaman Legends's topic in Atari 2600
I forgot about Solar Fox. There you have it! It's a great game. And often overlooked. I also like Crossbow. Forgot about that one too. -
I like Desert Falcon for the 2600 quite a lot. I've got it on an Atari collection for the PC and I've played it on Stella. I want to get a 2600 cart eventually. I'm not a fan of the 7800 version, however. I felt that it wasn't as good as I expected it to be, and I'd rather play the 2600 version.

Do you have prices? Do you ship to the USA? -
I'm glad you're able to keep one. They're fun to break out from time to time.

You might want to look into buying the EverDrive MD. I would highly recommend buying board only and putting it in a case yourself, if you are careful and have some DIY skills. You save a bundle. I bought the Everdrive 64 board only from Stoneagegamer and service was great. http://stoneagegamer..._everdrive.aspx Thanks for the heads up. I've owned three Genesis consoles. I don't know why I keep selling them. I will try to keep this next one around

I found a model 2. Thanks for all the replies. I'll pm a few of you for games. Thanks!

A question about Solaris

Great thread. I need to get Solaris back in my VCS. Thanks for the map. -

I don't remember that. I remember the opposite. Sometimes I thought I went through the fire and survived. Maybe someone here has played this recently?
-
It hasn't been sold. I have one person considering and another waiting. I should have some definite info in the next few days. Orpheuswaking has a few available though as well.

I forgot to mention Evil Magician Returns, Seaweed Assault, and the hack Wolfenstein VCS: The Next Mission. I can spend a long time on those three, as well as the previous seven that I mentioned in a previous post. There are so many good homebrews. Get a few and start playing. You'll be happy you did.

Nuke Shay's Pac-Man 8k is the one to try. It may be in one of the links above, as I didn't try them. It has a black backround and many other enhancements, but retains the maze and many of the features of the original 2600 version.
