  1. What Keatah said. Make it known far and wide that you're looking for a TIA expert to take over that component. Then until that day comes, forget about it. Work on the other parts. If you don't quit, the rest of it gets better even though the TIA doesn't. If you do quit, the rest does NOT get better, and the TIA still doesn't! So, what difference does it make if you keep working, but don't work on the TIA? It doesn't. Set it aside. Keep plugging away and don't let the TIA woes stress you out -- at all. Stella is way too good to give up on.
  2. Alternatively, you could sell the 1581 drive to someone else who has a 1541-II with power supply, such as myself Then you could sell the 1541-II separate with the power supply you have. I've always wanted a 1581, but with my 1541-Ultimate-II setup, I guess I really can't justify it anymore. They are neat drives though.
  3. Addendum... I have a complete color box collection, and nearly complete silver/red box collection. But there are some that are simply too rich for my blood, so I will never own them. So, I guess I would consider buying repros of just those, especially at the prices you mentioned. So, maybe a good approach to this is start out from the very most rare titles, where there would be a lot more interest in repros. I guess my first answer was very heavily influenced by the titles you mentioned. There's plenty of original boxes out there for Space War, Breakout, Combat, Defender... you can still buy every one of those brand new in box in perfect condition, readily. So, no repros of those. Waste of time. But Crazy Climber, BMX Airmaster, Asterix, Quadrun, etc... that's your market.
  4. Personally, I'm only interested in original stuff. To the point where I don't even care about homebrew boxes at all, and don't have any except the Tempest that's coming. But that's only because no box was not an option. But that said, I think it would be really cool to have them available because the box artwork is so incredible. I tried to start a project about 5 or 6 years ago to make really high-quality scans of all the Atari-brand boxes and archive them somewhere. For just this reason. I had a tiny amount of interest from a couple people, but most people seemed to not care at all or see any need whatsoever. So, I never pursued it further.
  5. LOL... no, Frogger is worth almost nothing on a good day.
  6. Sorry, I don't have any magazines, but I do have a set of some original Antic floppies for sale/trade if you're interested in those (a whole lot cheaper to ship than magazines too!) http://www.atariage.com/forums/topic/209013-fsftinterest-check-original-antic-floppies/
  7. Surely someone must want these? Open to trades of anything interesting or that I don't happen to have.
  8. Bump, totally open to trades, if you have anything I don't have (let me know what you have and I'll let you know!).
  9. Back around '98, I was selling used books like crazy on ebay and making a killing. Partially because the fees weren't too bad at the time, but also because it wasn't overcrowded with books (or anything else), and it was very easy and quick to list. Last year, I sold two lots of books and about lost my shirt, both in time and money. Not worth it, haven't sold anything on ebay since. Ebay used to be a beautiful thing, now I call it BIN-bay.
  10. Yeah, I even saw that the "eMag Load 1" and "emag Load 2" are out of stock also. I believe #46 would have been on "Load 2". Thanks.
  11. No, sorry, it says "and left overlay (sorry, don't have a right one for it)." And no sleeve for them either. It's the cart, box, instructions, and the left overlay.
  12. I found the page where the purchase buttons work, but unfortunately, issue 46 is no longer available: https://www.imagineshop.co.uk/catalogsearch/result/?q=retro+gamer&x=0&y=0
  13. Mayhem, are you referring to the article in issue #46? I just went to their site at http://www.retrogamer.net/back_issues.php and none of the buy back issue buttons work. I'd like to read that article if they fix that link. I already had quite a few Vic-20 carts when I bought the MegaCart, but that didn't stop me. I had the opportunity to buy a whole bunch of nice CIB titles (mostly Commodore brand ones) so I bought them. Would buy more if I find ones I don't have. I doubt I'd ever use them, having the MegaCart, but it's the collector in me that wants them. I have most of the ones I had when I was a kid, and then some. I did just recently sell about a dozen of my doubles for I think it was like $20 or so.
  14. $20 shipped ($20 has to hit my PayPal though) for all of it.
  15. Well, just off the top of my head, Omega Race, Radar Ratrace, Gorf & Clowns. There's a lot of good games for the Vic-20. My advice, if you're serious... is to just get a Mega-Cart. Yeah, it's like $100 or whatever, and yeah, you might have to wait for it awhile, but it has so many carts/tapes/disks on it, plus all the utilities and RAM expansions and whatnot... it's really a fantastic value. If you want real carts, fortunately, the vast majority of them are super cheap, even on ebay.
  16. I have 27 original Antic floppies dated from 1987 through 1990. (There is one copy in there too, as a 28th). Most of them are NOT written on like the example on the left is. The two shown are the only two with Antic sleeves, the rest are blank or other styles. Is there any value in these? If they're literally just worth the cost of shipping, I'll just keep them, but if not, please make an offer of cash or trade. Just putting feelers out there. Thanks!
  17. OK, that's one offer. Might want to hold out for a little more than shipping We'll see.
  18. SOLD! Sorry for the crappy pics, lost our good camera battery temporarily. I think you can see all of it, but the TI carts are Tombstone City, Parsec, and TI Invaders. Call of Duty is PC and Sega Rally Championship is DreamCast. The rest is 2600. Open to suggestions/offers. Things I've thought of already: - Put it in the trunk of a Ferrari - Put it all in a box and call it a "Box of dookie" - See if Richard Garriot can send it into space ??????????? Give me ideas!
  19. International Edition, with manual, picture cart (NTSC) and left overlay (sorry, don't have a right one for it). $15 + exact shipping.
